Evening everyone Smile

toby I hope everything is ok with you. Keep us posted.

So sorry aurora. Hopefully your cycle/lp will settle soon

CD14 here. I think I ov around cd13, we dtd last night and two nights before that. Not exactly a dtd'athon but hopefully the timing was right! I agree with mumo where do we find the time and the energy?!

MarysPrayer · 07/03/2015 21:03

Ruth I never get a true positive on ic opks. The test line is always slightly lighter than the control. Confused I'm optimistically? assuming this to be a positive though as they occur at the 'right' time (around day 12 of a 27 day cycle) The rest of the month the test lines are totally invisible. I also drink a lot so probably dilute the results!

Thanks Ruth. I have heard a few people say on here that they never quite got positives on opks but still got their bfps.

Wow, your sister must have ov'd quite early in that cycle or her dh had super longlife sperm! Grin

Just goes to show though, that you never know.

ispyfispi · 08/03/2015 00:14

I never really paid any attention to my cycle when I was younger. I didn't even know when AF was due or if I was regular. Various methods of contraception stopped it altogether for sometime. I fell pregnant with dcs 1&2 very easily (#1 I was on the pill and #2 dtd once!) but took a while with dc3 so I kept a note of my cycle and discovered I was bang on 28-29 days Smile made sure to dtd around the middle and it didn't work for 5 months so figured I might ovulate early. Made sure to dtd right at end of AF and bingo! So hoping I'm as predictable when AF finally returns this time....

peardrop2 · 08/03/2015 00:24

Ispy - I'm very envious that you've experienced the other side of the coin falling pregnant quickly!

I am not enjoying this weekend at all! It's turning out to be way too tiring and stressful fitting Dtd in a jam packed weekend Shock 2 days down, 2 to go TG! Skipped drinking wine whilst out for dinner with friends tonight Hmm I just can't take any chances even though it's probably fine but I just can't risk any delay in the egg laying process Wink

Also getting myself worked up over how much I leak after Dtd Hmm I feel like my body is rejecting the little guys straight away Confused I just hope leg dangling is helping!! I remember panicking when we TTC DS so I know it's the first time but I still panic Hmm

Well done Mumof1 Wink

Hi guys! Just checking in! I know it's super late, or early, depending on how you look at it but my mind is working over time - AF is due anytime between tomorrow and Tuesday... Shock fx she won't arrive.... Wink

I've been enjoying the glorious Welsh weather with DD over the past few days so you'd think I'd be zonked after all the fresh air but... No... Hmm

Just watching old (from when I was pg with DD!) episodes of Pregnant in Heels on Sky+...can't seem to get babies off the brain and felt an urge to watch these back to back (knew I kept them for a reason Wink) I know Rosie Pope is like Marmite though... Grin

ISpy - loved reading your experience of conceiving your first 2 DCs - just shows what's meant to be will be - it's a philosophy I try to live my life by Wink

Good luck Mumo and Pear (and everyone else!) I'm hoping the dangly legs tactic works (worked) too - thank god for yoga... Wink x

Mumof1sofar · 08/03/2015 05:23

Well done Mary. Fx for you Smile (3 days in a row... Impressive!)

Pear it's so hard not to get stressed about it, isn't it? Sounds like you're doing all the right things & I hope the leg dangling worked too Smile

Ava, I've suddenly had the urge to watch old episodes of one born every minute! There's a new series starring on Tues I believe.

auroraboringalis · 08/03/2015 06:36

Hi all! Flowers
It sounds as if there is a fairly positive vibe to people's posts right now. Fx there will be more good news for everyone soon.Smile
I'm going to be moping for a few days so might not post much but will lurk occasionally. Will be thinking of everyone's journey this week though!

peardrop2 · 08/03/2015 07:32

My cbfm hasn't peaked today Hmm another high day. What does that mean?!?! Omfg I can't handle another disappointing month Hmm After high days I was expecting a peak today!! Please don't tell me that the horrible spicey curry I had last night effected things Hmm

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 08/03/2015 07:52

Panic over...just referred to booklet and its 3 days of highs that I'm meant to get before 2 peaks. Phew! So all this time I've only been getting 2 highs before my peak! Hopeful again Grin OMG this is like a roller-coaster from hell lol

Afternoon everyone Smile

Mumo we only dtd on cd11 and cd13, not 3 days in a row. I wish dh and I had more energy! (my post wasn't worded very well)

pear I experience the same 'leakiness' after dtd. I even wear panty-liners the next day. Sorry, if that's tmi. Seems like such a waste though doesn't it? I've heard of people using softcups, (similar to a mooncup) which are supposed to trap them but on the other hand I've also heard that the best of the bunch will already be making their way and any losses probably wouldn't have made it anyway. If that makes sense?
I'm so glad we can talk about these things on here! Grin

aurora stay with us and stay positive.

So I suppose I'm officially in the tww now. There's a few of us this time. Let's try and keep each other sane!

MarysPrayer · 08/03/2015 13:47

ava have you been tempted to poas?

AvaAmulet · 08/03/2015 14:03

Aurora, I'm expecting to be joining you any day now... Flowers

If this isn't our month (again), and I'm really not expecting it to be, then we only have 4 more tries to have DC#2 before I turn 36 so I really need to give it my all. No hiatus to avoid Christmas, dtd more than just during my anticipated fertile 'window' and I'm even thinking of giving opks another try - they might be a bit more accurate now I've had a few more AFs since I last used them?!

Yeah, Mumo, I watched that too when I was ttc and pg with DD. I am possibly, subconsciously, trying to get myself back into that headspace, recreating that time, hoping it'll send signals to my brain that now would be a good time!!! I'm ready!!! Fx Wink

Mumof1sofar · 08/03/2015 14:09

Mary I might actually buy some panty liners for that reason! It's gross the way it all leaks out for ages afterwards. I think you're right that anything like softcups won't really help as the stronger ones will already be up there. Tmi but has anyone else heard having an orgasm is meant to increase your chances as the spermies get further in as you orgasm (if that makes sense?!)

Mumof1sofar · 08/03/2015 14:10

Ava we'll have to tune in! My labour with dd was so awful that for a while afterwards I couldn't watch anything about giving birth. Now the memory has definitely faded & I'm able to watch it again! Smile

MarysPrayer · 08/03/2015 14:18

Yes mumo I've read that the uterus contracts and sucks up more sperm!

AvaAmulet · 08/03/2015 15:19

Hi, are any of you lovely ladies around to offer some advice please?! I've just had to drag myself away from my mountain of ironing as I got a stabbing pain in my side, under my hipbone (?!) which took my breath away Shock has anyone else had this while waiting for AF? I usually just get cramps and achiness across the breadth of my abdomen, but this is more localised pain. TMI I was drinking a carbonated drink so could it be trapped wind, although I'm not feeling windy? Blush would it be too late for impantation? I'm gonna feel like a right wally if it's just wind.... Blush x

peardrop2 · 08/03/2015 15:22

Ava - if you've not POAS yet then you're one very strong women!!! I've got all my toes and fingers crossed for you! Grin

Mary - Thanks, my DH keeps telling me he says do we have to go over this every time that millions go in and some have to come out. I still panic though Confused I don't like the thought of any escaping!!

I remember vividly sitting in the delivery suit panicking that no midwife was there to speak to me. I just wanted to know whether the contractions would get worse and wether I should start asking for some pain relief. There was some lady in the corner writing notes and she didn't want to know. I said to her "this isn't like One Born Every Minute" Hmm She didn't comment but what I meant was where was all the support that you see on TV? I felt so lonely and lost and as a result I chose the wrong pain relief. For that reason I won't be watching OBEM because I know it is completely fake and makes me quite angry to think about it now. Can anyone on here say that they experienced a similar hospital experience as you see on OBEM? I hope so Blush

AvaAmulet · 08/03/2015 15:22

Sorry Mary, I didn't see your earlier question - I am tempted to poas but think I'll wait to Tuesdays be safe. We, like you, only dtd twice - we had neither the time nor the energy this month... [Hmm]

peardrop2 · 08/03/2015 15:23

Ava what dpo are you?

OP posts:
Mumof1sofar · 08/03/2015 15:24

Mine was nothing like obem & I agree with you its so fake & v edited. However I love seeing the babies being born (soppy or what!) Blush

Ava poas!!
