I was awake all night waiting for him to wake up though

Hah hah hah hah? Sorry that was a manic sympathy laugh! I soo-ooo know what that feels like.
Yes, I've given up trying to "interpret" my chart because I never have enough sleep anyway. I'm just assuming there is a pattern in there somewhere?Hmm

Mumof1sofar · 06/03/2015 07:48

Whoop giddy that's great!

There's no way I could start temping. Dd sometimes sleeps well & other times is up several times so I doubt my chart would make any sense!

peardrop2 · 06/03/2015 07:55

Omg omg! It has worked Shock Dropping the 7pm feed has triggered ovulation. Cd 13 and my monitor says high Shock You won't believe this...DH has either food poisoning or a bug. We don't know which. This is soooooo bad Hmm Timing could not be worse. We have such a busy weekend. I had planned to be free next weekend. Crap!!!!!! Wow you just can't plan anything. Does an illness in a man effect the sperm? How can we be so unlucky Hmm

OP posts:
Giddymamma · 06/03/2015 07:56

Ff has told me my temps "seem to fluctuate more than normal". Very astute ff, thanks for the detailed analysis. Smile

Giddymamma · 06/03/2015 07:58

Oh pearrrrrr! How frustrating! But amazing amazing news on ovulating! Think. Spermies should be fine if you can get the poor man to perform?! Not a doctor but surely any sperm out now will have been produced a while ago? Shove some berocca down him and look pretty. Grin

Mumof1sofar · 06/03/2015 08:10

Yay for ovulation pear but boo about poorly dh. My advice is jump on him anyway Wink

Mumof1sofar · 06/03/2015 08:11

Shove some berocca down him & look pretty.
Hahaha Giddy this made me properly laugh x

peardrop2 · 06/03/2015 08:44

Haha giddy!!! After the shock went from DH's face as I had only told him yesterday that we wouldn't be dtd this weekend he got himself together and says that his illness won't stop him. Phew!!!!!! He's like the worst baby when it comes to illness so I had doubts!! Oh yea!!! The sperm was made ages a go so I don't need to worry about that...double phew. OK, now I just need to stay calm and as DH says we will just get through our busy weekend and DTD as and when needed! Deep breathes! Hmmmm now shall I go for the EOD approach or just do it as often as possible. Maybe all 5 days is the way to go this month Brew

Oh btw for anyone else using Cbfm sticks. This is the 3rd cycle that I've spotted a very faint second line on the stick on the lead up to getting my first high. I ignored it this month because I said to myself "don't be silly its wayyyy too early"! So, just be warned that if you start seeing a second faint line but your Cbfm is still saying low fertility then you're probably very close to getting your first high. This rule probably applies to IC OPks too!

OP posts:
Mumof1sofar · 06/03/2015 08:50

Pear I vote every day!! Wink

Mumof1sofar · 06/03/2015 08:51

Btw would you recommend cbfm?

peardrop2 · 06/03/2015 08:57

Mumof1 - I recommend the cbfm (I have the old version) to those who have AF and the Clearblue smiley sticks to those without AF.

OP posts:
Mumof1sofar · 06/03/2015 09:25

Thanks pear, think I'll look into getting it if no luck this month x

Mumof1sofar · 06/03/2015 09:40

Just had a look on amazon... Amazing reviews but quite expensive.

peardrop2 · 06/03/2015 09:51

Yep it's not cheap. You can buy second hand ones on eBay but you're looking at spending £22 per month on sticks. It's not for those who're happy to wait and see what happens...more for the desperate types like myself Wink

OP posts:
Giddymamma · 06/03/2015 10:09

I agree with pear - I have the old one too from ttc no 1 - even though it still hasnt given me a peak for the last two cycles i think it is probably the best thing for me, especially as I am -desperate too- keen to dtd on the right days. I found out I used I ovulate earlier in cycles than I thought, so it probably saved me months of trying on wrong dates. Get a second hand one if you can, they are expensive. Good to know about reading the sticks too pear, my second line has started to show so fingers crossed for a peak soon! Good luck with dtd! X

Mumof1sofar · 06/03/2015 11:12

Thanks pear & giddy, will have a look on eBay.

Duchess007 · 06/03/2015 11:36

Morning everyone

Congrats on the ovulation pear Grin Sorry your DH isn't feeling great, typical isn't it! The month we conceived last time round my DH was off work for a week with the flu and I thought that was that, but we actually managed to DTD regardless (my DH is such a trooper Wink) and got lucky! So fingers crossed Pear for a lucky month!

My DD was up in the night again, think she is teething. Should make for a tiring few days at the in-laws Hmm DH and I have begun plotting how we can DTD while there. Feel like a naughty teenager again! Wink

ispyfispi · 06/03/2015 11:50

I think we're all keeping our fingers crossed for you Pear! It's reassuring seeing some progress even if it's not our own.
Duchess, it's good to be putting some excitement back into dtd as it's so easy to get focussed on purely ttc. With no AF I'm guilty of thinking 'what's the point?' which clearly isn't good. I think I need to get some practice in Wink

MarysPrayer · 06/03/2015 13:27

Afternoon everyone Smile

Yay for the dreamfeed Giddy, we used to swear by it. In fact it was often dd's best feed as she was so calm!

Yay for pear and your too for dh for soldiering on Grin. CD13 here too and I think it's ov time about now, so we'll remain cycle buddies I think Smile

Teething is awful duchess. Are they her molars? They seem to take forever to come through. DD has four but still has the last four to come.

MarysPrayer · 06/03/2015 13:29

Yay for pear and your dh too for soldiering on! Damn typos

peardrop2 · 06/03/2015 13:55

Aww thanks ladies! Yay Duchess that gives me some hope...although a small part of me doesn't want to go near DH when he is sick lol The things we do!! Good luck with Dtd at in laws, it will deffo put a spark back!

Giddy - exciting that you're close to having a high soon!! I also brought my cbfm with Dc1 (even though AF hadn't returned yet but I was double desperate desperate back then).

Mary - yay, you'll still be POAS with me then Wink Sounds like lots of leg dangling will be going on this weekend then!

Ispy - I so get that "what's the point"! I now even feel that way the week after AF. Are you using the IC OPks?, I can't remember!

Sorry to hear other are suffering with teeth. My DS is suffering too so I've just given him some nurofen. His bottom canine popped up in the night and the swelling looks sore. Hopefully he will wake up in a better mood.

I can't keep up anymore!

Spek, Giddy, Yoko
Belated welcome from me!!

Giddy I was the one that asked about the 24 hour wait, we usually go 10pm -7/8 am without nursing, & have been doing this for over 6 weeks now which is why I was considering the 24 hour wait, but DS fell ill so that is going to have to wait til he is back to normal

Go Pear Go!! Excited for you & everyone else, seems like a busy weekend ahead for all of you!! GOOD LUCK Wink

Can't wait to see how many of you get a BFP!!

Giddymamma · 06/03/2015 16:42

Ah Rosie, sorry I wasn't much use to you!

Here's hoping for the high, it didn't come last month..... :)

Sorry to hear about all these poorly babas and partners. Hold on a bit longer, lSpring is coming!

Has anyone changed anything after reading the article about eating yourself fertile again? I've been trying I lose a bit of weight but having read that I wondered if my body was freaking out about lack of cals.... So I'm eating lots of little, healthy snacks regularly so it knows I'm not starving. Hmm

ispyfispi · 06/03/2015 17:47

Hi Giddy, I've been trying to up the calories too. I think I need to re-read the article and look into the research further as I'm not sure how much I should be aiming for, I don't want to be gaining weight for nothing!
Pear I did get a whole load of ic ov sticks but after a couple of months of nothing at all I stopped bothering. I have to be realistic and accept that feeding on demand, especially at night means I'm nowhere near ovulating. However, the good news is that I think we're getting nearer to being able to cut down at night. Ds rolled away and fell asleep not on the boob last night, my others never did this! So I plan to take a step back at bedtimes as soon as we're all better.
Hope everyone gets a decent night Smile
