ava we sleep rubbish too. More often than not. :( last night down at 8pm up at 9.30 up again at 12 up again at 3.15 up again at 5 and by golly no more sleep after that because obviously we have to play now. groan I like to believe it is because DC is still ill and when all better will go back to only two wakings a night. what do you mean I'm clinging to useless hope?

AvaAmulet · 04/03/2015 09:23

Just had a quick nosy at the stats to see who's first to expect bfp this month and...it's me! I'm not overly optimistic this month though... If Sod's law has anything to do with it I'll get mine over the next 2 months and miss christmas with DD... Hmm still! beggars can't be choosers, eh...

How is everyone else feeling about this month/cycle?x

AvaAmulet · 04/03/2015 09:26

Thanks Aurora, it's comforting to know it's not just us Wink x

Mumof1sofar · 04/03/2015 11:04

Sorry about the bad nights Ava & aurora. Dd goes to bed about 7 & we get her up at 7 but 99% of the time she will wake for at least 1 feed, usually more. Zzzzz!

I'm not feeling overly optimist this month as I'm only on cycle 1 & don't yet know how regular af will be or even if I'm ovulating. If we have no luck this month I might try ov sticks next month. How's everyone else feeling? When are you testing Ava?

spekulatius · 04/03/2015 11:43

What does bfp mean? Can't make it out. Shock

auroraboringalis · 04/03/2015 11:50

Big fat positive (pregnancy test). Although the breastfeeding and pregnant is pretty decent a meaning too. :)

ispyfispi · 04/03/2015 11:54

Haha bless you Big Fat Positive (pregnancy test!)

ispyfispi · 04/03/2015 11:54

Oops too slow!

Duchess007 · 04/03/2015 12:14

Morning everyone. Sorry to those who had bad nights. My DD was up a lot in the night but then slept in til 10.30 which is unheard of, so at least I got to sleep in a bit! Has thrown my day off a bit though as we have rhyme time today and I am going to struggle to get her to eat lunch so soon after her late breakfast before we leave.

Mumof1 - this is my first cycle too and so I'm not expecting a BFP this time round. I don't know when I'll be ovulating, so DTD marathon starts tonight on Cd8. Wish I could feel confident but really don't feel like I have a clear picture of my cycle at all. It was much easier when TTC DD as I monitored my cycle for a few months before we started trying, whereas now we're jumping straight into it!

MarysPrayer · 04/03/2015 13:53

Afternoon everyone Smile

I hope nobody minds, but I've put of list of the acronyms that are most relevant to this thread. It's attached to <a class="break-all" href="//thewww.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2321992-TTC-and-breastfeeding-group-stats?msgid=52940301#52940301" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Stats list that pear created.

If anyone can think of any others then please feel free to add to it. It would be a shame if there were other people that might like to join in, but were put off by our jargon Grin

Hope everyone's having a good day

CD11 here. Must get around to dtd at some point...

MarysPrayer · 04/03/2015 13:55

I've put A list of the acronyms. I can't type...

spekulatius · 04/03/2015 14:06

Ahhh I see. And CD? Need a mumsnet dictionary here Wink
Do you all check your cycle etc? With DD we just used to DTD (do the deed=sex I hope) every day but that's impossible now. I thought it would just happen naturally at some point. Really jealous of those who get pregnant on contraception! And I really wanted to know so that I coukd save all my annual leave to take before mat leave Sad

spekulatius · 04/03/2015 14:09

Thanks found the list. WCCM Really? You guys go into detail. Is first response a better pregnancy test than others?

MarysPrayer · 04/03/2015 14:09

CD = cycle day. CD1 being 1st day of period.

I tried to do the list in a logical order, rather than alphabetical, so CD is near(ish) the top.

spekulatius · 04/03/2015 14:09

ewcm I meant.

Mumof1sofar · 04/03/2015 14:11

Thanks Mary for doing that. I just clicked on it & couldn't open it but that is probably just because I'm on the app not the proper site.

Duchess that's exactly the same as us - jumping in with no clue even of how long my cycle will be! Oh well, worth a try. I'm cd10 today & we are just dtd every other day or thereabouts. I'm using pre-seed as well so hopefully that will help..?

Mumof1sofar · 04/03/2015 14:13

Ha spek I was just thinking what's wccm when I saw your next post x

MarysPrayer · 04/03/2015 14:14

First response claim to detect a pregnancy up to 6 days before a missed period (or five days before your period is due). Although the accuracy so early on would be much lower than the 99% they claim on the box. There's a good article on fertilty friend that discusses the pros and cons of testing early.

There's a lot of praise for Superdrug's early hpt here on mumsnet.

MarysPrayer · 04/03/2015 14:17

Oh yes, spek these discussions can be quite graphic. Grin There are even links to website pictures of ewcm on the march bus. Apparently. ...

Joking aside though I have found that observing changes in cm (cervical mucus) really useful.

MarysPrayer · 04/03/2015 14:19

You're right mumof link doesn't seem to work. Confused

will try again:

Acronyms

Mumof1sofar · 04/03/2015 14:46

Thanks Mary, it works perfectly now Smile

I think the other reason frer is so good is that it is digital (correct me if I'm wrong??) so it says for definite pg or not pg. I am also a fan of the superdrug ones. When I got my bfp 1st time around i tested early & it was unclear on everything else but a strong line on the superdrug test. They are not too £££ either (good when you're testing quite a bit) Smile

peardrop2 · 04/03/2015 14:49

Hello ladies ?? I love that I now come on this thread and see lots of posts. 2 cycles a go I was talking to myself on here most of the time ?? I am well thanks. Mainly feeling positive because my CBFM asked for a stick again today (that's two days in a row) on CD11. So I'm always feeling more positive when I am tracking. I'm not allowing myself to think that this month is going to be a bfn. Positive thinking! secretly though if I don't get it on cycle 4 I will most likely loose the plot but shhhhh don't tell anyone My DS slept until 5am (woke up screwing again with his teeth) and then went back to bed after a feed and Nurofen. Once again bf came to the rescue Smile

peardrop2 · 04/03/2015 14:50
