How were your Easter weekends? Properly busy here with family visits etc. Sorry not posted for a while - I had another pressing crochet deadline last week so didn't have time to do anything else. Was making a leaving pressie for a colleague. Brookers - I'm bereft - he was my favourite colleague and there is a good chance I will never see him again. Have never had to say a permanent goodbye to a friend before and it's sad.

ooh imps!! that's fabulous. what hours will you have now?

Imps9 · 09/04/2015 16:20

This may out me enormously, but I just had to post this message which someone starting mat leave tomorrow has posted on our intranet:

Just to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed to my collection. Over the years, I’ve seen my fair share of maternity cards and collections, enviously looking on through teary eyes and wishing it would be me. Well, finally it is and I still can’t believe it! For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been with my other half for 13 years and we’ve been trying for a child for 6 years but to no avail. With polycystic ovaries and having been through the process of adoption and fostering panels up north, only to be finally accepted and grilled beyond belief, we then moved here, having to start the whole process again under a new local authority, together with the stresses that come with the same. This moment is therefore very much overdue and hence why I’m so incredibly emotionally. Cakes to follow tomorrow on my final day accompanied by a side helping of tears. Apologies in advance for the crazy pregnant lady who is incredibly humbled by the collection, very embarrassed (a “me” thing) but ever so extremely grateful indeed! Thank you all!

Just lovely, I thought.

imps that is seriously lovely and yay you for reducing your hours that is great and fantastic they accepted so readily.
What will you be doing? Something on the side? Clearly you will be well diffed soon so will just need to rest and take it easy :)

sparkle that is great news, sounds like we are days apart!

keep how is the frostie doing?

Sorry brokers I have not read back fully as first day in the office and its crazy but scan this morning showed a flickering heartbeat and measuring spot on. So for now, we are making progress, still a long road to go and I have moments where I am completely convinced this is going to go to wrong but for now, I am pregnant.

Imps9 · 09/04/2015 17:06

Oooooooooh a heartbeat Far!!! Simply bloody marvellous!!!! Will you go for an early scan Sparks??

I am v pleased about reduced hours. I was given a choice between 4 days a week, or 4 days every other week. I went for the latter so the pay decrease is only 10% rather than 20%. I really was just craving more time to spent at home and in the garden - both me and Mr I don't get back from work until late and we either spend a huge chunk of the weekend doing chores, or the house is a mess etc. My aim really is to have nicer weekends and a tidier house!

hinkyhonk · 09/04/2015 22:11

marvellous news on a heartbeat far I'm feeling very tempted by an early scan. although feeling nauseous most of the day, I'm having some very light cramps which I do think are my uterus expanding but then DH keeps flipping that something is going wrong. only 7 weeks so a while to go for the nhs jobby. hey ho. will just sit tight I guess.

imps that is a lovely msg although one that would NEVER appear on my work intranet [I do work for satan though]. since we've had our issues, I've spoken to so many people at work who have had something up and its become a real bonding point. I think it is important to get it out there although I do worry about scary people with what happened to me and it is never uttered to pregnant people. I don't want to be one of those people who tell horror stories all the time.

hope nest , beedle and loopy are doing ok.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 10/04/2015 07:59

Congrats on BFP Sparks and yay for the heartbeat Far, chances of anything going wrong are massively reduced by seeing a heartbeat!!

Yay for Imps getting a couple of days off a month. It's amazing how much can be done around a house in a day, I reckon you'll soon be begging them for a day off every week lol, especially in the summer ??. And lovely post from your colleague, must have taken guts for her to open up like that.

I'm ok, bleeding from the hysteroscopy/ d&c stopped by the weekend, I think I ovulated last week after the op, so am expecting a smidgen of an AF next week unless he literally did remove every scrap of lining, so next ov perhaps mid May? Hard to be sure as cycles are long, sometimes irregular and I haven't had a proper AF since November as fell pregnant Dec, miscarried Jan, fell pregnant Feb, miscarried March. Feeling odd last couple of days, bit uncomfortable in groin area, maybe it's just things healing, not sure. Next BFP will be on progesterone and clexane from BFP and just hoping that it makes a difference, unless the lupus anti coagulant test suddenly corrects itself to a negative next time, but I don't think the consultant is banking on that happening as he said I'd be on clexane for the whole pregnancy. Hate those injections, sting so much, had to have them for 5 days after having ds2. That's all for now. Best go feed the boys, lazy days this week as nursery is closed until Monday, and they seem more interested in playing and making a big mess than eating so we are on go slow every morning!

Molotov · 13/04/2015 10:12

Morning all, this thread seems to have disappeared from my 'Threads I'm On' list. Hopefully this post will rectify that!

I'm feeling a bit down this morning: dd1 is back at school and dd2 has started preschool. I'm home alone (MolotovDog aside) and it feels weird. There is some sweet relief in that I don't need to entertain my girls all day; I can just sit down and drink my tea without demands and the sound of silence no squabbling is nice.

But it's coming near to that time of the month again where I could be fertile (CD7 today) and I'm still very confused.

So feeling mixed-up and a bit down-hearted today.

cartoontrickster · 13/04/2015 12:12
