Incidentally, will you have another repeat CS, hinky?

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 27/03/2015 14:53

Molotov, just to say I've had 2 cs's and am desperate to have another baby, and at no point has anyone said I shouldn't have any more cs's. It's a tiny increased risk of scar rupture, and that's all. The rcog green top guidelines have the exact figures. Really wouldn't worry.

hinkyhonk · 27/03/2015 15:35

another cs? hmm probably end up with one. first was as DS1 was so small he wouldn't have survived a natural birth, second with DS2 I went overdue and they won't induce so I don't imagine that my body with cooperate and have any contractions so I guess I'm odds on for another.

I really minded with DS2 but now as long as they (and me) arrive intact it doesn't matter how they come out.

Are we all having a good afternoon, Brookers? As I'm definitely not pg, I'm going out on the wine this evening .

AF turned up very late and very heavy, so I think that tricksy and confusing bfp might have been a chemical pregnancy. Bah.

Apparently they're common after Mirena though?

Anyway, onwards! Next month we'll do it. Brooking no argument and all that.

Molotov · 27/03/2015 16:48

Thank-you loopy and hinky. Enjoy your vino tonight, Running Smile Wine

I hate it when that happens, sparkle! I think the thread is okay Smile

Weekend was good (how was yours?): took the girls out and also dh and I got our heads together and talked about a finance plan to save for our ideal house (bigger house in this pricey area). It's going to take 2 years of saving. He then said that of course, that would need to change and we'd need a Plan B if another baby came along. We could reconfigure sleeping arrangements here to make more room but it really would be very tight for space.

Lots of planning going on in my head right now!

Molotov · 30/03/2015 20:59

... I mean, I thought the thread was okay ...

cartoontrickster · 30/03/2015 21:20

I've been lured back by mo singing!
I had a chat with my gp on Fri, basically he won't prescribe me anything I was on before without a consultant say so as its not proven. according to him the NHS don't test for nk cells, I thought they did. I was suprised that he seemed to think the next step would have been ivf had I not already been pregnant with N, I guess I was being naive but I hadn't expected that. he did say if I mc again they will help us I won't have to have another 3 like I thought I would. Basically his advice was healthy living, no alcohol, folic acid at least 3months before TTC, second pregnancies are easier etc. he thought that perhaps trying a sooner than later would help as it would take some of the pressure of.
I'm not sure I feel any clearer about what's best. for some reason I have this niggling feeling that we should try without treatment but may be that's just stupid.

yeah I think that's bollocks too

the frosties are in the air Smile Smile

Molotov · 31/03/2015 09:03

Getting pg 2nd time was not easier for us. First time took almost a year with a natural conception: second time 2 years, fertility investigations, 6 cycles of Clomid.

Pah! from me!

Molotov · 31/03/2015 09:06

Saying that second pregnancies are easier is a bit shit, actually. You feel awful anyway, then tjat comment is only likely to make you feel more like something is wrong.

I'm stunned by people's insensitivity on a daily basis.

farfallarocks · 31/03/2015 13:23

Morning brookers from sunny Italy, it's gorgeous here and most relaxing.
Your gp is talking rubbish Trix! I know more people with issues on number 2 than number 1 and immune issues are actually aggravated by pregnancy and can get worse not better. The nhs are starting to test nk cells I think professor quenby is the one leading the charge there but it's still hugely controversial. I totally understand why you might want to see if it can work without intervention though bt don't be afraid to be pushy if not. Lots of Mc clinics on the nhs are now treating with steroids clexane and progesterone just as a precaution and without any positive tests.

Hope everyone else is well? I went to have a blood test here lovely little centre in the hills much less stressful than the clinic!

farfallarocks · 31/03/2015 13:24

Ps yay for frosties!! Hope they are enjoying the in flight entertainment!!

nesticles · 31/03/2015 17:46

Afternoon Ladies,

Sorry I havent been back my luck seems to be going from bad to worse. So the mc that we thought I had had was infact an eptopic. My HCG has gone from 30 to 206. I am going back to the EPU tomorrow morning for them to check HCG again in the hope it'll mc on it's own. If not I'll have to have Methotrexate. I don't really want this option as can't ttc for t3 months.

Thank you to everyone for making me feel so wellcom. Far thank you for the info. I have been researching like mad too. I have an apt at st Mary's tomorrow with MR. Raj Rae so will report back afterwords. Thank god for private medical insurance. Just feeling a bit crap today and people in RL aren't helping.
Sorry for the me me me post. I'm not normally like this.

Sparkle sor for the bfn. For cartoon and mol and anyone else think stop! just smack the rat and see what happens. Keep I hope the frosties have a safe and uneventful flight.
Must go ds is trying to sit on my head!

Molotov · 31/03/2015 18:45

Thanks nest x So sorry for you. Sending best wishes Thanks

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 31/03/2015 21:03

Hey all, so had the hysteroscopy yesterday, and v sore and tired as a result. The doctor had a look, found some adhesions which he has got rid of, but also decided to do a d and c so removed the lining, think it's effectively the same as the scratch that Coventry clinic do, so should regenerate it all and improve chances of good future implantation. Nothing that he saw to warrant a biopsy. He also said next time I get a BFP they will not bother with aspirin but will just start me immediately on clexane injections along with the progesterone. So am trying to be hopeful that I will have a baby in 2016. He said can't ttc now as he has removed all the lining, but can ttc as soon as had AF, but with my cycles I don't expect that cycle to ovulate until mid may :( so feels such a long time to wait.

Far glad your hcg is rising.

Sorry to nesticles re potential ectopic.
