Try not to worry eskimo, I am sure you will be absolutely fine. Smile

loopylou1984 · 12/02/2015 21:59

Nomio - that's what we're hoping. I can wait until April knowing that we can skip the queue a bit after that if we need to.
Dh has been telling me all about donor eggs from Czech Purdey! His colleague went there.
I love that he has someone to talk to, but can't help but think that's jumping the gun! Lol. Xx

eskimolaura · 12/02/2015 22:05

Thanks guys, I'm such a worrier. My baths are very hot, but the one I had earlier didn't seem too hot. No more for me now though.

MissMrsMummy · 12/02/2015 22:07

The more I read about diet, I am convinced sugar is my downfall. Oh and alcohol, and now hot baths! I have them SO hot! Oops. Must try harder.

Nomio230 · 12/02/2015 22:15

Mine is chocolate. I am pretty sure the combination of sugar & caffeine is not recommended while ttc, but it is just tastes so good! Blush

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 22:15

Just a quick break whilst the ice cream lady comes round the cinema ...

Hot baths: don't panic. Most baths can't reach the kind of temperature that would kill or maim your embryo. Very hot baths are never good for you though. Stop being a masochist Hmm Hot tubs should be avoided because of the risk of infection from other scrotes patrons. The only thing that can damage your eggs is age. Or ovarian cancer.

Woodpigeon, I think FF have got your ov date wrong: I think it should be CD20 and you are 9dpo. You should expect AF imminently Thanks I agree your progesterone looks a bit rocky with a few drops to the coverline, but only by comparing it to the next couple of charts will we be able to see if that's something to see your GP about. I'm always a little suspicious of rocky luteal phase temps as they suggest wonky progesterone levels. A quick day 21 test will put your mind at rest. Let's just see what next month is like.

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 22:18

Name me one study that attests to sugar impacting negatively on fertility. And I will kill myself.

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 22:23

Sammy, your hubby's pal's missus must be an old bird like me if she went for DE and knows about 'egg checks'. I presume he means the AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone) test that gives the best indication of ovarian reserve (and quality). You're only about twelve, though, so ignore him Smile

If you have cash to spare a private hycosy seems a good idea to me. Mind you..you still have eight months, Sammy, to be part of the 90-odd per cent of couples who get pregnant by two years.

MissMrsMummy · 12/02/2015 22:31

What about steam rooms anyone? Spa day this weekend!

What's this I hear about hot tubs, you can get an infection?

Think I'll just have to lounge poolside!

loopylou1984 · 12/02/2015 22:44

Laying here with my bum on a pillow again!
I'm not sure how old she is Purdey (dh is snoring next to me so can't ask) but I know she was told she had the eggs of an 80 year old woman, nice!
Is it possible for me at 29 (12) to have old eggs?

Yes I know, it's hard to believe anyone can go this long with not even a hint of a bfp and then miraculously get pg before 2 years though.

Based on last couple of charts I should be due to ov in a couple of days but opks are still near on arctic, should they be showing a stronger line by now? Usually use smiley face clear blue so would probably be on highs now, I'm not used to these cheapy sticks! X

loopylou1984 · 12/02/2015 22:45

I also hope sugar is not that much of a problem.....

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 22:52

Purds that's the end of the twirls then.... Grin

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 22:54

Sammy my cheapies usually show a hint of a line on build up.. But you could just be OVing slightly later this cycle even?

juneybean · 12/02/2015 22:59

I walked past a pomegranate today and though of you two Wink

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 23:00

ugh. Woodpigeon, when I said 'you should expect AF imminently' I sounded like a completely insensitive bellend. I am sorry. I hope she stays away.

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 23:04

Ha ha Juney everytime I see a twirl I think of Purdey! How you doing now? I will be visualising that DHL van turning up At your door Tomor morning with a special delivery for you! Fingers crossed

Purdey remember that time we had to call you Failure?! .. What were you thinking?! Shock

juneybean · 12/02/2015 23:06

I'm okay, feeling very cross at DHL, they sent it to Poland by accident I suspect and then it sat there for 12 hours, perhaps it would still be sat there had I not rang. Grr!

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 23:07

Woodpig don't understand why FF has you OVing later. I would say it's CD20 from your chart?? There's a big temp rise after that? I'm sorry I really hope AF doesn't arrive for you but I know dips at that stage in the cycle aren't usually great. Let's think positive but be prepared too lovely Flowers

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 23:08

Sammy, there are young women who suffer from Premature Diminished Ovarian Reserve or Premature Ovarian Ageing (POA). A woman has premature ovarian ageing when her follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) levels are above where they should be at her age, or her anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) levels are below where they should be for her age. A woman with diminished ovarian reserve may experience no symptoms other than difficulty conceiving, but her blood test will reveal elevated FSH levels. You've had this test, yes? Day 3?

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 23:09

Well looks like you are off to Poland Tomor Juney.. Take the syringes in your hand luggage ! IT WILL TURN UP.. Fingers crossed for you lovely Flowers

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 23:12

Juney, come on, girl..you need to be positive and put them there shipping feckers behind you. Very soon you will be swimming in top-notch bionic sperm that has the motility and volume of a prize bull. I am v Envy Don't lie awake tossing and turning - they are on their way. Sleep tight, Sugartits Thanks

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 23:15

Sparkly, yes..'Failure'. What a spectacularly defeatist moniker. It was largely to attract readers to my beseeching thread begging for AI success stories. 'Twas there I met you, chicken pie Grin

juneybean · 12/02/2015 23:19

Thanks loves, going to take my follicle to bed now! Sleep tight when you go!

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 23:22

True true! Wink

I would quite like to be the AI poster girl again actually. Grin

Oh and did you ever see my question a few pages or maybe even a previously feb bus back- I asked if you had noticed the new thread on conception page about home insemination? Basically just wondered if you had posted on it as I did mentioned to the creator of the thread to join our feb bus as few of us were doing it, but think she was didn't want to, or was reluctant to as she said she was an old bird with fertility issues doing the at home
insemination.. Told her she was still welcome over and others here were too but don't think she ever did, so just wondered if you had seen the thread

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 23:22

Interesting article about your eggs
