Ah sparkly, that's very kind thank you. I now have my fx for your numbers on Saturday Smile

Victoria, good to hear you sounding a bit brighter today. Where are you looking at for hols?

HeirToTheIronThrone · 12/02/2015 15:21

Thanks for the ewcm info! It's my new obsession... The weird mucus pervs will be in heaven reading this :)

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 15:45

You all and your cervix finding missions! Ha ha. I'm still refusing to do it. I'm quite happy with my cm watch/OPKs and temping,,, for now!!!!

Yes let's keep our fingers crossed for that Spinning !!!

Autumn2014 · 12/02/2015 15:46

can I ask a ewcm question whilst it is being discussed. how long after you get ewcm do you usually ovulate? is the same day? days later?

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 15:48

Mummyofone exactly, not what I need to hear! Ha ha

kissing Mmm I think this is gonna have to be one of those wait and see scenarios... Maybe you should start using OPKs or are you not into the idea? You could totally still be on track for a BFP!

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 15:51

Autumn for me it's usually 2-4 days later mine starts early. However I always feel mine is just "wet" never really see ewcm.. Until this month for some reason!!

Hairstylisttoboris · 12/02/2015 15:54

autumn I get ewcm starting approx 4 days before a positive opk test, so 5-6 days before ovulation. Whilst for me ewcm is a lovely positive symptom of hopefully impending ovulation, it is subject to loads of environmental variables - ie diet, health....

Autumn2014 · 12/02/2015 15:56

so do you have ewcm for those 2-4 day, or does it appear for a day then you dry up when you actually ovulate?

Hairstylisttoboris · 12/02/2015 16:00

I get ewcm for the whole time, or something similar anyhow. never loads of it for the first few days. I often only find it by wiping round my cervix. I get a little of it until about the time of the positive opk when I get loads of it.

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 16:28

Yep the days running up then often few days after too.. But I don't thinks that's typical! I don't dry up till much after usually

juneybean · 12/02/2015 16:31

Ack missed too much to catch up properly on my phone but nomio it comes stored in nitrogen which is scary in itself! It also probably kills a few of the beasts on the thawing process.

Hey ladies, I have had a really couple of crappy days and so haven't really felt like coming on here and looking at the pages I've missed loads.

Don't really have the heart to read back and catch up at the moment so I will simply say congrats to any BFP's and Flowers to the BFN's.

My update is that I was due to test on V day but I haven't even made it that far as AF showed up this morning 4 days early!! Not really sure how I feel but there is next month and my BBT fermometer arrived so I have been temping the past couple of days and getting into the swing of things doing that. Also got my OPK's to start...never used those before so will see how that goes too.

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 17:16

Lily sorry to hear your AF arrived early. But on the positive you are giving yourself the best chance next cycle.. You have all the tools now and I really think it will help you to chart and use the OPKs. Your next try is less than two weeks away... Not long at all! Sending positive thoughts to you and hope you are feeling a bit better soon Flowers

mustbemad71 · 12/02/2015 17:16

Sorry about the "me" post girls - but when am I supposed to be shagging with the Clearblue Dual Hormone doodad? I'm confused! Had two days of flashing smileys, two shags - then peak solid smiley - another shag. Then instructions say stop testing and solid smiley shows for two more days - does that mean two more shags? We are knackered and DP fast losing enthusiasm! Hmm

Does solid smiley mean I've ov'd or will ov soon and need to keep shagging?

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 17:18

mustbemad eh the dual hormone sounds totally confusing! I use the CB ovulation smiles so it tells me two fertile days with solid smiley face. Sorry I can't help you!!! But if in doubt... Dtd I say!!!

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 17:18

Solid smiley I think means your LH surge is happening!

Lillygolightly · 12/02/2015 17:22

Thank you Sparkly I already sort of knew before AF arrived that I hadn't conceived but somehow seeing the witch arrive is a bit like a kick in the teeth anyway! Your right though I have all the tools and need to just look forward to my next fertile window. Will still be keeping my fingers X'd for you.

mustbe sorry I can't help out never used the clearblue stuff before....well done on all the DTD though! Wink

mustbemad71 · 12/02/2015 17:29

Thanks Lily and Sparkly. God I'm exhausted but I suppose I will have to persuade him to keep going for a couple more nights! Although my libido has been dulled somewhat by those pics of the "bell ends" Purdey - yack!!! Smile

BowiesJumper · 12/02/2015 17:30

uk.clearblue.com/healthcare-professionals/fertility-and-ovulation/clearblue-digital-ovulation-test-with-dual-hormone-indicator

I think it's saying the LH surge is the flashing ones, and you ovulate on the peak days? So sex on the day before them, and both peak days are the best days to shag? I'd do a bonus one the day after too (if there's three peaks?). It is confusing though! In summary, I don't know. So ignore me.

mustbemad71 · 12/02/2015 17:48

Thanks for the link Bowie. Think i need to keep going tonight and tomorrow and hope that's enough. We cannot keep this up month after month - too old! Plus he's moaning about lack of BJs after I informed him that they are sperm murdering and he can only have them at either end of the month. Grin

loopylou1984 · 12/02/2015 17:49

Quick reply to those who messaged me (will have to catch up with the rest later as off to ds in laws)

Trixie - thank you, I'm sure it will go quickly, just had a sad moment and the thought of two more wasted cycles made it worse!

Heir - I'm trying grapefruit juice and cough medicine ATM so I will let you know my results. I def feel wetter down there but no sign of ewcm.

Spinning - wow that would be very quick, wonder if private referrals are that speedy everywhere?!

Spinning and Victoria - yes I'm going to ask... But who do I check with? Gp/hospital?
I have no idea what I'm entitled to! Xx

Boosk · 12/02/2015 17:54

Thanks cariad and sparkly I know it's not over until af arrives but in a way that's so much more annoying as I know it's coming but can't officially move on to a new cycle. CD1 always feels so much more hopeful. I realise how pathetic that is when there are people on here who are in limbo for 50+ days.

So I've just whizzed back through the days thread and the stand out comment is boris shaking hands with people with her cervix fingers. Glad you washed them first! I recently went to a networking event and rescued a frog from the road on the way. Sticky frog hands and no opportunity to wash them before meeting and shaking hands with lots of artists and authors! Blush

MissMrsMummy · 12/02/2015 18:03

Hello all

Dismayed about the ewcm 50% thing. I never really have it, maybe just a small amount on loo paper (what use is it there?!) every now and then.

I'm taking 3 torpedo sized EPO capsules a day - how do I not have ewcm?!?!?

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 18:20

Just got back from the library with the baby. She is now a registered member and has her own card Grin

Sparkly, the fact that you miscarried is surely more reason for them to take this spotting seriously. Make sure they know you are informed about these things: you know how progesterone works to build up the uterine lining and that this kind of spotting is evidence of the womb lining shedding far too early, taking any implanted embryo with it. Don't mince your words; tell them you have no doubt that this is what happened.

I would even go so far as to advise you to play on your existing 'chronic' health problems, stating that another year of waiting would be inhumane in the circumstances. I really don't think you'll need to get all Rambo on their ass, though.

mummyofonesofar · 12/02/2015 18:24

missmrsmummy I get creamy in my knickers but ewcm I only found by sticking my fingers up and giving it a sweep!
