Sorry, Heir, my cervix post was to you and not Boris!

victoria401 · 12/02/2015 13:58

Also nosey into how coparent works :-)

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 14:00

Vic, please go to the GP. Nothing about what you describe is normal. What if you have endo? I am not trying to be an alarmist.

purdeybirdie · 12/02/2015 14:02

Vic! You naughty rabbit! Are you considering secretly buying sperm? I think that's a brilliant idea

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 14:09

Purds since you are available for a short window may I ask a question? We have our first app at NHS fertility clinic at start of week which I'm stupidly nervous about.. Basically my doctor wants me to get spotting checked out.. You know the pre AF spotting. However! This was pre a positive BFP. So I'm worried that now they will say try again and then we shall test in a year if no joy .. As I have shown I can get preg. Where as our concern is - is the spotting am issue for staying preg.. So.. Any tips? Ways to deal with the doctors.. Can I request these tests or do you think they shall fob me off??

BabyBumpHopeful · 12/02/2015 14:09

FLASHING SMILIE!

Took a video to prove to DH I'm not lying just to get into his pants (side note, I have a vid if any of you need one :P)

So, it's on like donkey kong time to get started when he gets home from work :)

kissinggiraffe · 12/02/2015 14:11

juney I hope your sperm gets to you in time......maybe it fancied one last jaunt before being made into a baby......

vic all the irregular spotting/custardness doesn't sound great. I would pop to the gp.

I'm on the march bus after my bfn yesterday but it's soooooooooooooo quiet. Still waiting on af, 2 days late now. I want it to hurry up so we can get cracking with the next cycle.

victoria401 · 12/02/2015 14:14

purdey HSG showed there was no endo blocking my tubes so they don't do any more investigations for infertility reasons. Mentioned it to GP and fertility nurse and fertillity consultant. They just fobbed it all off. No more people I can tell!

Haha! No I'm not going to be buying in some sperm although once thought about asking dh's brother for some, then baby would have the family looks.... I'm just a genuinely nosey person of how the other half live :-)

Sparkly123 · 12/02/2015 14:16

Babybump wooo go go go!!

Kissing stay here with us mad lot a while longer! Are you often late?

juneybean · 12/02/2015 14:21

Haha my sperm has been more places than me!

The coparent thing.... well I strongly suspect it's men wanting a shag as most advertise as a sperm donor! But there are some advertising as coparent but am not interested in that.

My guy I found is local so hopefully he can come spunk at me for a few days per month!

kissinggiraffe · 12/02/2015 14:32

Not usually late sparkly I stopped breastfeeding 14 months ago and my cycles were 32 days for 6 months but have settled back to 28 days since then. I think ive had a couple of 32 dayers in the last 8 months but not recently.
I'm thinking I should test again but I know that's stupid really because a frer would have detected something on cd 29 surely??

Nomio230 · 12/02/2015 14:36

Sounds good, juney. I really hope your sperm gets to you in time, but if not, at least you have a back up plan.

Just out of curiosity-how do they keep the bought sperm viable? Do they freeze it & then you defrost it at home? When dh had to give a sample for sa, it had to be kept warm & delivered within the hour, so am wondering how come yours can travel the world & still be ok.

Sparkly You are doing so well to be calm this month. I really, really hope you get your sticky little bean.

Vic, it is brilliant to hear you sounding happier. Maybe there is hope for dh after all. Smile Regarding investigations, I had lots more than just HSG. I had dildo-cam to check for PCOS, HSG to check for endo, blood tests to check hormone levels & I am sure there was something else I can't remember right now. It might be worth checking with another Dr to see if you can be investigated further.

kissinggiraffe · 12/02/2015 14:37

Although ovia normally has me ovulating on cd 14 but this cycle changed its mind and said I ov'd on cd 18 (I do not temp or use opks so the only info it has to go on are my usual cycle lengths and my cm so I don't think it's terribly reliable. I will be using opks next cycle) so maybe I'm just having a randomly longer than usual cycle.

australopithecus · 12/02/2015 14:41

purds i think juney missed my post about dh's sperm donations cos I deleted it so quickly innit. Grin
juney you should place an ad in the local uni's student newspaper! Student boys always think their spunk is clever and interesting and invincible! Hmm
purdey as in the top half fanny/stomach side and bottom half rectal/bum (or recital, as autocorrect would have it) side. Get it?

Nomio230 · 12/02/2015 14:44

Good thinking austral. Juney, want me to stick a poster up at uni?! I am sure you will get some interesting responses!

victoria401 · 12/02/2015 14:49

I've all tests going now nomio and am under the fertillity clinic now. The only thing they could do to check for endo is a lap but they saw no point as my tubes are clear. Plus who wants a big ole nasty op just for the fun of it?

Hairstylisttoboris · 12/02/2015 14:51

God I'm bored at work. You ladies do keep me entertained :) we are moving house shortly and will be without Internet for 10 long days. How will I cope?

victoria401 · 12/02/2015 14:53

Also 'working' hair Wink

mummyofonesofar · 12/02/2015 14:53

Sparkly - What will be will be?! Little do they know we think about this every waking minute!!!

Victoria So glad you had a nice evening wth DH - you could use this happy time to gently raise how unhappy his behaviour makes you. He could be easier to speak to when he is in a good mood?

Purdey Re cervix, mine pokes downwards and forwards (so if I were laying down it would be pointing slightly up towards the ceiling) sort of at an angle. So the first bit i can reach is under the slit, reach a bit further and I can feel the slit and a bit further again and I can reach above the slit. The first fit I reach is squishier than the last bit I reach.

Austral I think maybe we just have weirdly placed cervixes - so glad I am not the only one or I would be feeling pretty worried round now about any abnormality due to difficult birth....

mummyofonesofar · 12/02/2015 14:55

Bored at work too - without internet? Will just have to catch up on the app! Grin

Hairstylisttoboris · 12/02/2015 15:02

After all this chat over cervix I just went to the loo to poke mine. Still can't find the hole. I washed my hands left the loo and then had to shake hands with loads of posh people. Good thing they didn't know where my fingers have just been.

victoria401 · 12/02/2015 15:05

mummy that's the worst time to bring it up actually coz it brings him crashing straight down! If he's up I'll leave him up, for as long as possible! lol

Laugh at handshaking story!! hahaha!!!

BowiesJumper · 12/02/2015 15:06

I had the dildo ultrasound (and blood tests) when I was tested for pcos.

It was like an awkward sexual encounter as the nurse originally aimed a bit too low, I had to say - up a bit... that's it (in a totally non sexy way). Ehem.

BowiesJumper · 12/02/2015 15:06

Haha, love that hair. Just imagine where THEIR hands might have been.

victoria401 · 12/02/2015 15:08

Oh just remembered I came online to research fibroblasts!! Clicked on MN by mistake! LOL!
