The thread has just sparked another conversation about names with DH and how he doesn't like Ivy or Iris. I said that he doesn't seem to compromise on the name front and he replied 'I've compromised massively on the name front. I really like names like 'Pete' and 'Chris' and 'Dave'!'

I guess I'll let him off then! Grin

Our two dogs are called Alfie and Emily. I love both names, but obviously they are now out for any children we have!

MaMaPo · 08/02/2015 11:12

Laughing at Baby Dave, eskimo!

Cariad, you're welcome anytime! Also, your possible symptoms sound promising! Fx for you.

Cariad2014 · 08/02/2015 11:12

Eskimo - I LOVE Iris - such a beautiful name.

Spinning - all your talk of photography had reminded me of how much I miss not living on the coast any more. I would so LOVE to go on a long walk along the beach this afternoon.

On a slightly random but related topic, I am super keen to get a picture of our baby's first sunrise (I know that you can buy ones online, but I think it would mean so much more if we (i.e. DH) had taken it ourselves. If anyone makes it onto the same AN thread as me, please remind me of this.

Cariad2014 · 08/02/2015 11:14

Thanks MaMaPo - how about next Sunday?!?! Wink It's a shame you're several continents away!

Sparkly123 · 08/02/2015 11:20

Mama sounds delish!!!! Good job! Antipasto is a delight!
BFP not bfn! Positive thinking lady!

Babybump oh dear...! Not ideal...!! Got there in the End though?! Flowers Sammy I would most likely lose the plot with that scenario...!

purdey you think they should be on supplements even if sperm count ok? Maybe dh should start one... Can he just take a normal vitamin or have to be pregnacare? Oh that's right you did were a day late with clomid.. So fingers crossed that temp will get up pronto!!

Sorry blondie sending Flowers next cycle.. Yes!

Twinkle it's a BFP!!! Woooooooo!!! Great great wonderful news!!!! Congrats lovely!

mummyofone good job on the pasta.. It is time consuming but so worth it! Italian weddings are immense. We got married there too. You will eat well that's for sure! Wink

Whoknew brilliant you have a BFP!!! Grin congrats!

Cariad I had the stabbing pains when I got a BFP... (Not trying to get your hopes up.. Much!) stay positive! Flowers the sunrise pic sounds amazing! We are gonna be on the same AN- I can feel it! So we shall remind each other Wink I love photography.. I'm always the one with the camera in your face.. Since I was very young. Love it.

Purdey i was looking at italian bambino/a names last night after our conversation and Octavia was in there.. Quick mention to dh super sperm and was shot down. He doesn't like many names.. I think I shall have a fight on my hands with most!! Ha ha.

Right, my update is.. My chart looks funny. Again!! So much for my mutant slow rising temps Purdey?! Honestly.. This month is all over the place! Look at today?! (Chart attached for your obsessive chart scrutinising eyes)

Got everything crossed for you.

Sparkly123 · 08/02/2015 12:01

How you feeling crazypug?! Pregnant?! Grin

CookieDough9 · 08/02/2015 12:05

Yay another bfp, many congrats twinkle Cake
I had AF symptoms before my bfp with DD and was running to the loo convinced AF had arrived but she never did so those of you who are experiencing this try and stay positive, though it's not easy

HeirToTheIronThrone · 08/02/2015 12:09

Yay for you Twinkle

I'm off to make Cariad jealous with a walk on the beach :) Will be accompanied by a friend and her very cute 8 month old, might have a chat with her as she was in the first stages of IVF when she found she was surprise pregnant after 3 years!

MrsGingerbread · 08/02/2015 12:20

Oh, bfps! Congratulations Ladies! Xx

Thank you ladies. Just got to hope the little bugger sticks. I found this which may be reassuring to those who like me appear to ov long after positive opk if you base it on the thermal shift. The attached seems to suggest that actually the delayed shift should not always be taken as definitive as to when ov is and actually you count from when you see ewcm (and I guess see a positive opk). Sparkly does this help? I think we were both mutants in that regard. I'm trying to find things to reassure me that I do not have a ludicrously short LP phase - brown spotting is making me nervous. Confused

MissMrsMummy · 08/02/2015 12:26

sammy I bought that cough medicine but never ended up taking it for TTC purposes. Then I had a chesty cough and took it for a couple of days and got LOADS of ewcm. Make sure you drink loads of water as well

tessiegirl · 08/02/2015 12:26

Congratulations to all the latest bfps!

Cariad2014 · 08/02/2015 12:35

Thanks Crazy and Sparkly -although I haven't felt them before, the stabbing pains could well be caused by scarring from my ectopic surgery (as they put the camera in through my belly button - sorry if tmi) so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much Only time will tell I guess.

Heir - I am super jealous of your walk on the beach. A chat with your friend sounds like a very good idea.

Sparkly123 · 08/02/2015 12:37

Twinkle Mmm that's very interesting thank you! .. Still mutant like though eh?! Ha. Did you see my temp increase today? They are suddenly working now! Brown spotting for me usually between 3-6 days pre AF. I have everything crossed for you lovely!!!!

Heir great positive story there! Enjoy your walk!

Twinkletoes007 · 08/02/2015 12:43

Just seen your chart Sparkly. Wow! FX and cariad too!

Congrats whoknew! Grin

loopylou1984 · 08/02/2015 12:56

Missmrs - hmm it does work then it seems. I'm going to start taking it from tomorrow (5 days before ov due) and see what happens.
Yes am drinking lots of water too, come on ewcm! X

crazypuglady · 08/02/2015 12:58

sparkly I was this morning. I couldn't stop burping! Even water made me burp! And getting an acid feeling after eating or drinking too. Seem to be back to normal now though.

A friend has just put loads of her baby stuff up for sale. Sooooooooo hard to resist telling her I want it all. Right now. Bring it round. I am rubbish at keeping secrets, thank god I've got this place to talk or I'd have shouted from the rooftop by now Grin

Cariad sorry to hear about your ectopic. Fx it's not that.

PurdeyBirdie · 08/02/2015 13:10

Sorry I haven't read back yet as been out to church. But, Sparkly! Look who got their positive opk at 10am this morning! Smile

Anyone else been to church this morning? Smile

nightandthelight · 08/02/2015 13:13

I did Purdey. There was a christening if twins going on as well which was lovely :)

Hairstylisttoboris · 08/02/2015 13:13

Purdey I'm going to church tonight, saying loads of prayers for BFPs. Although I'm off to a Protestant church not Catholic - not riddled with guilt enough for that.

Sparkly123 · 08/02/2015 13:17

Purdey I was gonna say.. "You will see this after church" in my earlier post! I so badly want to get back to church I've just not been well
Enough lately and mornings are not very good for me. Anyway who cares... Woooo positive OPK!!! This is great news! So AI today?!

crazy great news you are not feeling so bad now! Buy it. Buy it all! Ha ha

PurdeyBirdie · 08/02/2015 13:19

Twinkle!, you conceived from sperm deposited three and four days before ov! It's not fair! You fella must have great sperm too; typical sperm lasts only 1.5 days and it is atypical to survive for five. You lucky girl! Smile

PurdeyBirdie · 08/02/2015 13:33

Twinkle, the reason temps rise significantly to create a biphasic chart is because of the sudden production of progesterone - and that is only produced by the release egg. This is how temperatures are far more scientific at pinpointing ovulation than cm, which can be produced way before ov.

Sparkly, I love your chart - and still think FF got it right. Yes to AI tonight again but DH balked when I told him I need his sperm tomorrow morning too (I reckon I will ov between 10 tonight and 10 in the morning. I then have twelve hours of the egg surviving, right?) Why on Earth would a man balk at belting one out first thing? He'd better deliver the goods or I'm going to go Rambo on his ass.

PurdeyBirdie · 08/02/2015 13:39

Ah, twinks, I've read the blurb from your book properly and can see the point you're making. I personally don't believe ewcm always means ov is imminent (look at Crazy's chart) but I think positive opks are generally bang-on.
