They are less than a pound each. Simple to pop in (some people can do that with swimmers in the cup- I can't without spilling! )

They just hook out. Not a problem. I leave them in overnight after dtd or ai.

In fact dh deposits swimmers in a soft cup, which then I syringe out. So when I put cup in after ai you feel like you have given them all a chance! :)

Well...I have found tonight that orgasm really does suck the suckers up. Not a single drop leaked out tonight. Mind you, my bum was raised on a stack of pillows to rival Kilimanjaro and I didn't move for 20 mins. So...that's AI on cd13, 15, 16 and no positive opk yet. Remember that almost-positive I got this morning? I tested every few hours since and hardly any line there at all. Strange.

What's going on with your OPK?! Think maybe that was your positive earlier that you thought was almost positive? But then surely it would show after a few hours still?! Mmm...

Well temping this morning was interesting. I never sleep very well (sleep apnea) and often toss and turn so it was funny to wake at 7.30 without an alarm (my alarm normally goes off at 7am for work but I only get up at 7.30).

So I took my temp at 7.30 and went back to sleep. Because I was only half awake I dreamt I hadn't taken it out of my mouth and tried reaching for it again. Didn't help that when mine turns off it beeps again and it auto turns off at 10 minutes so I think that's why I dreamt I still had it in. Anyway, I woke more at 8.30 and took it again and it has gone from (Fahrenheit) 96.11 to 96.75. I'm not sure if I should trust the first one (as it turns out I didn't put it in the heat pocket at the back, I put it at the front like the blood donation people do it) or the second one. As it's just the first I suppose tomorrow will be a good test :)

So there you go.

Oh, and today I locked my keys in my vehicle... with my phone and handbag inside, with the engine running. I knocked the lock as I was getting out and the door swung closed. Luckily i was at the post office and only a couple of blocks from home and I remembered my husband telling me where the spare set was so I had to uncover that vehicle which was covered in snow, and get the keys and walk but to the vehicle and unlock it. Thank god the key worked. Really put a dampener on my afternoon!

I love all this Italian talk! We just had a bunch of friends and three toddlers at our place for lunch. We had antipasti with hard cheese (for my pregnant friend), my husband made focaccia, and then we had a fusilli salad, vitello tonnato and a caprese salad. Then vietnamese ice coffee ice lollies and a raspberry white chocolate mud cake for afters. I'm full! Luckily my little girl is asleep and I've tidied up - now I can relax.

98% convinced of a BFN this cycle.

I lay awake until 3am this morning. Can I claim that as a symptom? Only 8dpo today so I guess that's wishful thinking. Probably the 2 pints of caffeine Diet Coke! (I'm pretty much caffeine free normally now)

I did temp at 5 and 7 but they were both crazy high. Should I discard the readings completely? (Normal temping time is 5.30 but after a whole night's sleep!)

Babybump I did that with my car once... Problem was my house keys were also in the car and the spare car jets were in the house! Thankfully my neighbours have a house key so (after waking them up) it was all okay! X

I've been drinking lots of grapefruit juice as I'm convinced it's my lack of ewcm that's the problem.... Tmi but I have lots of wet discharge today which is unusual so I'm hoping that it will continue for the rest of the cycle!

MrsG - I'd just discard the temps I think. If you were awake at 3, 5, 7 then your temps will be inaccurate either way.

Excellent new method to deal with inevitable AF this week - ensure we have all the fixings for an excellent gin and tonic. I will drink a very large one when AF turns up.

Ginger, the body needs to be at rest for the full three hours and not necessarily asleep. If you were laid there motionless just obsessing about babies thinking then I would personally take the 5am temp as valid. Certainly not the 7am one as you've faffed around with a fermometer two hours previously.

Thank you for the youtube sperm film recommendations. Absolutely brilliant and a great reminder of just how perilous their journey is and how difficult it is to conceive. An average man will ejaculate 300 million sperm during sex but only a 'few dozen' will reach the egg. That is why out partners need to be taking supplements that will maximise the potential of their swimmers. Imagine if all of those remaining few dozen sperm were double-headed or otherwise shite!

Just to say that I've hopped on to the March bus, AF arrived in full swing overnight.
Hope that those due to test soon get their bfp's.

Sparkly, I've been ov-ing on CD17 like clockwork on this Clomid, but if you remember I forgot to start taking it until a day later and so I'm wondering if that will set ov back by a day. No way of knowing, but we'll AI until the temp rise..

Ladies - I think I have a BFP! Did a cheapo test this morning then a frer. In shock and not getting carried away at all.
