Dojo wow what wonderful parents!

Nomio230 · 07/02/2015 22:02

Oooh, sounds exciting heir

Sparkly123 · 07/02/2015 22:03

Spinning yeh it's great although spending a week with a minimum of twenty family members at each mealtime can become slightly draining at times and not a relaxing holiday as such!! Love seeing them but you don't get much alone time!! Hence the onward trips to alternative parts of Italy after to get some us time!! I wouldn't say I'm fluent nomio but certainly converse and can understand lots. I learn more all the time and as soon as I'm back there slip back into it. It's only when you are away you feel you have forgotten but soon as I'm there a few hours im good to go again! I wish we could go live there a bit, it would be so easy to do so it's just between work and family commitments it's just never happened!

juneybean · 07/02/2015 22:04

Juney surely your cat has your surname though?! And they call it out when you take her to the vets? My 3 rat babies have my surname :-)

Yes it makes me inwardly cringe every time...!

giddy I'm from the north east! Grin

purdey good luck with your spunk tonight!

Sparkly123 · 07/02/2015 22:06

heir this sounds good... Are your cycles usually 28 days?

crazypuglady · 07/02/2015 22:07

heir I've got the wet creamy cm so fx it's a symptom for you

victoria401 · 07/02/2015 22:10

spinning no idea how many dpo. Not a clue what happened this month! It'll be a surprise when af turns up (coz it will)

eskimolaura · 07/02/2015 22:12

Just taken me about an hour to catch up on all of this from this morning! We've been out all day, funnily enough with some friends visiting from Italy. They live in Rome, but she's from Milan originally, and we met 10 years ago at uni. We do get to see them fairly regularly and she was a witness at our wedding last year :) Italy is my favourite country.

As for names, we love Arthur for a boy and for a girl, my DH suggested Audrey the other day, which has really grown on me. At first, I couldn't get past the Corrie character, but I have to say, I really like it now. I also love Iris or Ivy, but my DH isn't so keen on those.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 07/02/2015 22:13

Sparkly no sadly - not too regular but according to FF my average is 37! So not getting my hopes up yet. Having said that I went to a party tonight and drank a tiny half glass of wine then just water, just in case...

Giddymamma · 07/02/2015 22:14

Hiya juney! Grin

Sparkly123 · 07/02/2015 22:16

Keep positive then Heir although you may have a wait ahead of you there is still every chance!!!

MrsGingerbread · 07/02/2015 22:20

purdy have you tried popping in a softcup after ai?

Keeps the swimmers in = no soggy pyjamas (and maybe more time for swimming? )

Nomio230 · 07/02/2015 22:28

mrs I have been using softcups, but find them an absolute nightmare to take out. I hope they are worth all the trouble!

MrsGingerbread · 07/02/2015 22:34

There is a bit of a knack to them, but I'm definitely a convert! :)

OP posts:
juneybean · 07/02/2015 22:36

I've purchased some soft cups for next week! No idea how to put it in...

Sparkly123 · 07/02/2015 22:36

MrsGinger I did wonder about them ... But they scare me! Ha ha

MrsGingerbread · 07/02/2015 22:42

No need to be scared :) There are some great tutorials online.

Juney great idea, I'd have a practice before the timing is critical for you though.

Quick question to anyone who uses AI do you need to suck the sanple up straight away into a syringe and into you or do you wait? Keep it warm? Any tricks? I might see how next month goes and suggest it at some point if we keep having performance issues....

MrsGingerbread · 07/02/2015 22:49

Some people wait 10mins for the consistency to change, making it easier to suck up.

We don't do this, feels wrong to keep it waiting somehow, but there are strong opinions on both sides of that one. You do need a latex free syringe though (cheap on eBay) - but no needle!!

If you search the conception thread there was a long thread about 'turkey baster' method which had a lot of very wise words in it and many success stories too!

Sparkly123 · 07/02/2015 22:51

Boris dh leaves the sample to Liquify for say five ten mins- doesn't usually take long, then pull up into a small needless syringe and attach cathetar(Cath isn't necessary that's just what fertility clinic gave us to use and it gets slightly further in) then I use preseed/conceive plus, lie with pillow underneath and that's it! Oh and I do the legs elevated thing because clinic says to but I know others say it's pointless!

PurdeyBirdie · 07/02/2015 22:52

A mere 2mls tonight. Does it get less and less every day? I want projectile fountains of the stuff like on the porn films where the woman's face looks like a herd of cattle have dumped their wazz on her face. That's what I want

Sparkly123 · 07/02/2015 22:53

Mrsginger it worked for me-BFP 4th month (last cycle) but sadly early mc. But still shows it can def work!

Sparkly123 · 07/02/2015 22:54

2mls is good going after a 4ml last night Purdey pie! Hope no interruptions tonight for you! Wink

PurdeyBirdie · 07/02/2015 22:54

ginger I just know those softcups are the real deal but aren't they expensive? Are they as tricky to insert as the diaphragm?

spinningirl10 · 07/02/2015 22:56

I use softcups as well, once you get the hang of them they're easy. Blush At Online tutorials Grin
