Cd19 and have picked up some maca today. Will be ordering opk's later today. We have only managed to dtd 4 times this cycle as DH has been working late so I am not hopeful at all

I keep telling myself that crazy but we haven't used any birth control for 6 years and that has only resulted in one pregnancy so I doubt I'd ever be that lucky Sad

Sorry to hear that hair, I had a couple of short cycles last year, so disappointing.

Can't get a clear pic of the bfp - it really is a squinter ?? but I'll try and do another one tonight and def tomorrow morning for good measure...! So glad I got the 3 for 2 at Boots recently!

I'm pretty sure I'm 10 dpo, possibly 9. I got a bfp at the same point last pregnancy too, but hopefully that's the only similarity with that one. Can't quite believe it's happened after the last 5 months of cycles from hell!

If you get a BFN on a first response one 4 days before AF is that game over do you reckon? Think they can detect 6 days before so am guessing yes. Arse.

No definitely not, everyone produces hcg at different rates. It's not over til it's over!

I don't think so twinkle are you just going by days before AF due or do you know how many do you are too?

Purdey said upthread that she got a BFN at 12dpo and BFP at 13dpo (I think thats the dates, I may be wrong)

twinkle, I got a BFN 2 days before AF on one that says up to 4 days before en a BFP he next day. It ain't over til auntie arrives but maybe don't have your hopes too high?!

Juney, I'm also surprised at how expensive sperm is. Fx it works for you.

I'm amazed anyone gets pregnant on a one night stand or similar. It really does seem like just sheer luck!

Ffs keep losing my posts.

I am due to pay £250 to keep my third vial frozen for another year but it feels a bit shitty to tell them to bin it... Wish I had found this new bank sooner but I thought it was illegal!

There are options to buy vials with 20million motile per 1ml but that's more expensive and I figure I only need one of the little dudes to work! I'm young ish so can take a bit of a risk...

Juney that's still a lot of money to take a risk with. You can see why you hear about friends coming to agreements about providing samples.

I hope you don't find this nosey, feel free to totally ignore me if you do, but do you get to choose the donor based on their characteristics or is it a case of 'you get what you're given'?

No I've been able to pick exactly who I want within reason (I'm CMV negative so ideally had to choose a CMV negative donor) I feel sad it didn't work with my first donor as I put a lot of effort into choosing him.

With the new donor I just picked on a whim with dark hair and dark eyes like myself!

I'll definitely be going to plan C if this month doesn't work I cannot afford to keep "spunking" money on spunk ;)

When I chose my egg donor I requested someone who wasn't a midget, wasn't fat, had brown hair and eyes and was educated at degree level and was a proven donor (her eggs had previously made babies). We ended up with a 24 year-old 9st 7lb, 5'7" Economics graduate who loved history and reading. We rejected a nature-loving animal enthusiast whose degree was in social care. Didn't want a Leftie tree-hugger.

I suppose there's just so many things about the whole process you just wouldn't think of until you were in that situation.

I'd be up for egg donation. Only trouble is I'm a redhead so there won't be much demand for mine Grin

I do feel my IUI was done too early so I quite like the fact I am in control this time.

You do realise the best I've had ever is 2.5!!! When my dh had the sperm analysis it was less than 1ml, and his was 100million so just shows you it's not always about the quantity!!! juney I totally hear you !
