Again sorry ladies, I've been mad. Baby Ariella was born by EMCS Thursday night. I was let out of hospital Friday evening which apparently is really good?

We've just been adjusting since really, she's lovely and she weighed in at 8.4lbs. So not 10lbs as they thought but a good weight still for 37 weeks.

After my waters broke it took ages to get into the delivery ward as they didn't have any beds. Then the heart rate started dipping on contractions, suddenly I was rush off to the ward and checked for 30 mins then straight to theatre.

And yes that is amazing u were out that soon!! I was in 3 days and didnt want to leave as I was still in complete agony lol
Aww well done Siarie :)

And Ducky yeah I'm more worried this week as I'm turning 12 weeks next week. So the scan is coming up and I'm extremely worried about it. I know my 7 week scan was fine and baby was growing okay with a heartbeat but I keep having dreams I go to my 12 week scan and baby isnt alive. And every time I get tummy pain or pull a muscle I panic Confused I know I shouldn't tho. Confused

Wow, Siarie, what a beautiful little girl! Congratulations Flowers Flowers Flowers
It's understandable that you're nervous, Cupcake Flowers I'm sure everything will be ok though, and soon you get to see your little baby!

Ducky23 · 12/04/2015 12:04

Woooo go siarie! She's lovely! How are you feeling?

It could be a panic attack cupcake? Just try your best to relax and keep calm, I know that's near impossible!

Ducky23 · 12/04/2015 12:06

Oh no lil! Was it you that had swelling before? Maybe get it checked out Confused

lillamyy1 · 12/04/2015 12:17

Yeah, I took my swollen feet into hospital last weds but there was no swelling elsewhere, no protein in my urine and my bloody pressure was fine, so they weren't worried. I've got another midwife appt this weds so she'll check all that again. It's more just annoying not being able to fit into any shoes or socks, and it goes away if I put my feet up for a couple of hours but I want to be upright as much as possible to encourage this baby out!
Sorry your DS is poorly again, Ducky. I hope he gets better very soon, poor little mite Flowers

Ducky23 · 12/04/2015 18:24

Have you got a birthing ball lil?

Well, looks like were off to the hospital with ds, his got a very bad cough and it sounds like he's heaving each time he's trying to cough and making awful noises, then he's got a rash covering his chest, arms and legs Hmm I'm so stressed out, it's like he is constantly poorly Sad

Cupcake92 · 12/04/2015 19:18

Congratulations Siarie!!! She's really cute!!! Enjoy these precious moments!!

Sorry ladies, I'm not really active on the thread... Breastfeeding is beautiful but takes lot of energy. Sometimes, DH gives DS a bottle (with my milk) to allow me an entire night of sleep :) I think I'll BF up to 4 months (one month to go) and then start to wean DS, but not really sure about all this...

Siarie · 12/04/2015 20:00

Well we're back in hospital, Ariella was looking a little yellow. Taking a while to feed and being all sleepy. Midwife visited today and said go to A&E then they process her through to postnatal again.

So now I'm stuck here too, were trying to get a paid room so DH can stay with us. Just waiting for someone in one to be discharged. Such a shame as PIL were stopping by as they have a flight tomorrow and now they might have to wait until they come back. I wanted them to see her as MIL is having her operation soon which has lots of risks.

But there we go, hopefully some light therapy will sort her out and we will only have to stay one night.

Ducky23 · 12/04/2015 21:18

Steph that's gone quick! Grin

Siarie, ds had jaundice a couple of days after birth, two days of light therapy and he was right as rain. He still had yellow eyes but that cleared up quickly Smile

Ds has a viral infection (again Hmm) were home now. Have been told to give calpol 4x a day and he will feel better soon

lillamyy1 · 12/04/2015 21:33

Poor DS Ducky, I hope he gets better soon!
And I hope DD doesn't have to be in hospital too long Siarie.
Yes Ducky, I have got a birth ball. I've been bouncing on it quite a bit.
I'm having strong braxton hicks this eve so really hoping it's the start of something... It's quite uncomfortable Hmm But the baby's moved which I'm a bit worried about. I don't know if he's still head down, but his feet seem to be on the opposite side from before so I'm not sure what he's up to!

Sairie, congratulations, she is lovely. Hope you are all home for good to orrow. You must be exhausted.

Ducky- poor DS!

Lill- might be your turn tomorrow.

It has poured all day here apart from an hour this afternoon. DH took DS out in the ran but I didn't go. I had a snooze instead Smile

lillamyy1 · 13/04/2015 09:24

I hope the poorly babies are feeling better today.
I was hoping to wake up in the night in labour, my BHs last night were really strong and regular, but nothing this morning. Still, it's a sign that my body's getting ready. I reckon all the raspberry leaf tea has helped, and maybe swallowing prostaglandin kindly donated by DP Blush

lillamyy1 · 13/04/2015 09:37

I'm 40+3 today. I can't remember if anyone else on our thread went over... Lulu? Bears? I know Steph was early.

Ducky23 · 13/04/2015 09:43

Bahaha lil that made me chuckle! Hopefully it will work, it must be soon! you need to get it near the cervix to 'ripen' it!

Well ds is hardly eating, so I'm taking him back to the drs, this is how it all started last time when he was hospitalised Hmm I bet the Drs won't say anything, they didn't last time and then he ended up in an ambulance Hmm

Ducky23 · 13/04/2015 10:21

Were running out of room so
I started a new thread and quickly realised I made a mistake!!!! I called it April 2013!!!!!! I've added a year onto how long we have had the thread Blush I keep forgetting it's 2015

lillamyy1 · 13/04/2015 12:08

Haha that's jut the kind of thing I'd do Ducky! Well, I read that it works better if you ingest it because it needs to get into the bloodstream, probably advice written by a man!
See you on the new thread Wine
