Aw glad things have started Siarie!! :) I had a ton of fluid that leaked through the bed and onto the floor lol!!

Aww poor DSs with their coughs and Ducky's DS with his eczema. I hope they all get better soon!

I can see myself not getting any sleep tonight - I've literally been for a wee 5 times in the last ten minutes! Baby's head must be squashing my bladder Hmm

The night before I went in to have ds I got up about 6/7 times in the night for a wee!

Sairie, hope you are well through it by now and it is over or almost! Sounded like you were well on your way. When my waters went it was one huge gush on the bathroom floor and DH's feet, followed by some trickling for a while.

I found the back pressure before my waters broke the most uncomfortable. One they went I was reaonably comfortable walking around for a few hours.

Really hope she is here soon for you.

And you Lilla- you might not hang on until after the weekend!

We've been for a walk and had an ice cream. We gave DS a tiny bit on a spoon and he loved it.I know we shouldn't have .

I'm so excited to wean ds!! Although I will be restricted in what I can give him Hmm Glad your ds liked the ice cream! Grin

I read somewhere ff babies can be fed at 4 months whereas breastfed babies need to wait until 6? Not sure if it's true though

Woohoo thanks Ducky :) I fed DS at 4 months and he was fine and loved his food :) he was deffo ready for it! U could just try DS with some baby rice ? See what he does :)

It was cold? My DS hates ice cream as it too cold to eat and he cries Grin

He did like it but it is the best ice cream in the world! It is an Italian coffee bar and ice cream shop that has been there since the 1950s, owned by the same family. They make all their ice cream - only vanilla but it is just full of everything fattening! It's delicious. DS just had bits on a spoon but he tucked in. Nonasty nappies yet; well nothing nastier than usual Grin

He did on the first one Cupcake but it was warm today and it was softish in a tub and not freezing hard. Hewas only having little bits but he was smiling.

The midwife has given me some aromatherapy oils to try and start labour but I'm not sure what to do with them!

Did she not show you lil!? There's certain points on your body you are supposed to run them into to start labor. I had them but can't remember now where they went Confused I also had some on a tissue to sniff in.

I'm not convinced they did anything but they smelt laverly Grin

No, she left them at the reception for me and DP picked them up this afternoon while I was having a nap Smile I've found a guide online but most of the points I can't reach so DP will have to do it for me! He hates giving me massages but he's been very sweet recently so I think I'll be able to convince him Grin I'm sceptical about aromatherapy tbh but it's worth a try! Also been drinking loads of raspberry leaf tea.
I feel very sorry for myself this eve, my throat is still very sore and now I've got earache as well which I'm sure is connected. The doc did a swab last week to see if it was bacterial, in which case she could have given me some antibiotics but I haven't heard back so it must be viral (which the doc said was most likely) so I can't do anything about it except have lots of honey in my raspberry leaf tea and take paracetamol Sad
In other news, I just found out my good friend from Bristol had a little boy last week Smile I knew she was due but didn't want to keep pestering her by asking if she'd given birth yet because I expect she was sick of people checking for updates!! She sent me some pics, he's really gorgeous Smile Sounds like she had a lovely birth as well, very calm water birth.
I can't believe how many baby boys are being born at the moment! So many of us on this thread have had or are having boys, and I went to a 'bumps and babies' group yesterday with my friend from my antenatal class and there were 2 baby girls there and about 12 baby boys Shock

And thanks Lill :) I'm hoping to be able to share a good and calm birth story with u all later on Grin Lill let me know how the oils go :) if anything they'll help u relax which is good :) !

I'm off to adventure farm today with DS and the family. Tho ive had a struggle with DS this morning :/ i was at work yesterday so DS was with his dad. And this morning he's woke up crying and wouldn't come downstairs and sat in the hallway crying and asking for his daddy Hmm then I mentioned making him his milk and he was fine and came straight downstairs! Lol!

How are you and h stbxh now cupcake? Has he moved out? I'm so excited for when you give birth Grin ds will get used to going to his dads I'm sure, it's all so new for him ATM.

I wonder if siarie has had her baby yet? I was told baby needs to be born within 24 hours of waters going and that won't be long!

I don't know what ds was doing last night, he hardly slept Confused it's almost like he's going backwards with his sleeping!

Hmmm. So I had my AF at the weekend but it was really light (spotting over about 5 days with one day when I actually bled). So, DP is due to take a sample in today as we have an appt at the fertility clinic next Friday so I took a test this morning (I don't even know why, as I'd had a period and they've been so light recently I didn't really think much of it). Anyway, it was a BFP. I'm so shocked that I'm making him take the sample in anyway. I did a cheap test and a FR, both positive.

Thanks. DP is not sure why I'm making him do the sample anyway but I don't believe it!! I'll give it a few more days test again and then cancel the appt. Someone else will need it more than us!

I have been into town and ordered two rugs from John Lewis for our bedroom. Can't wait for them to arrive.

Came back to a kitchen that is like a bomb site! DH has made himself tea toast and chopped fruit for breakfast and gone out with DS for a walk. The kitchen looks like he has gone mad. I am steaming. Am taking deep breaths and counting to 100 because I don't want to have a row- it's a lovely day here. Want to take DS up to the country park this afternoon to see all the birds and walk on the track through the reed beds and the dunes so don't want to be grumpy with DH but honestly!
