Tori maybe give the assessment unit a call too just to be sure Smile

Lil, glad everything is good! When you go in more than once it's routine to do a scan Smile they will induce you just to be safe because of the reduced movements, spending most of my later pregnant in the assessment unit for hours a day I learnt all of this!

lillamyy1 · 07/04/2015 19:34

Ahaaa, that makes sense Smile Ooh, I'm getting excited now! I was sure I'd be waiting another week and half for this little fella Grin

LuluJakey1 · 07/04/2015 22:10

I have managed to burn myself quite badly today.I poured boiling water from the kettle into a bowl to make some possidge and it bounced off the spoon and went straight down my stomach. I was wearinga very thin vest top and jammie bittoms and it literally scalded off a strip of skin about an inch square.
I cried it hurt so much and swore very badly Blush DH rang the nurse at the GP while I held ice on it and she said to go along an hour later but keep the ice on it. She has dressed it and I have to go back on Thursday. It is really sore. Feeling very sorry for myself and cross- not sure why.
DH bought me some daffodils and blue iris to cheer me up.

I think someone on here must have a baby this week. I keep reading and thinking people are starting. I reckon Sairie and Lilla are just there and it could be any minute. Tori what are you now?

LuluJakey1 · 07/04/2015 22:11

DS was the centre of attention at the GPs. The nurses and health visitors all came to say hello and fuss over him and he was all shy and then giggley.

Ducky23 · 07/04/2015 22:25

Oh no lulu! Hope you feel better soon!

I have to go drs tomorrow, I think ds may have eczema Hmm apparently it's very common if they have cmpi. I just hope he will grow out of it Sad that's if I can get an appointment! I waited 30 mins on the phone this morning and when I got through they'd all gone!!

LuluJakey1 · 07/04/2015 22:26

He is starting to grab at things in his reach and hold on- the receptionist's hair was in the firing line.
And he sleeps from his last feed at 11ish until 7/7.30 ish now. Hurrah! Quite often when he wakes up he will have a feed and doze off again as well for another 45 mins or so. It is bliss. Wonder how long this will last! He doesn't sleep much during the day at all. Sometimes we have a snooze together in the afternoon.

LuluJakey1 · 07/04/2015 22:28

What is cmpi Ducky? GPs are hopeless for appointments. Our has one of those triage systems now as well. They just need more staff I think.

lillamyy1 · 08/04/2015 00:19

Oh poor you Lulu!! Will it scar?
And poor DS Ducky, with his eczema Flowers
I've been nesting loads since I got home! If this little fella comes along I want the house to be ready Grin

Siarie · 08/04/2015 03:54

Update ladies, being induced this morning at 9am. Could take days though as they need to get my cervix open. But what it does mean is I will be coming home with a baby!

So why is this happening, well I have the itching thing and they did a growth scan yesterday she's measuring 10lbs at 37 weeks. I'm hopeful that it's just her big head and my long thighs that will be throwing the measurement system off but either way she's ready to come out now.

Siarie · 08/04/2015 03:56

I don't think I look that massive but there is extra fluid apparently too. I've been checked for diabetes and I don't have any of that so they don't know why she's measuring so big

Bearsinmotion · 08/04/2015 05:47

Good luck Siarie! DD was induced and overall it was a much easier labour than DS. Keep us posted :)

As for me I am feeling awful. Been having headaches past 2 days and feel like throwing up. Been so exhausted also and struggled to do anything yesterday. Keep considering whether I should go to the doctors or not as paracetamol isn't doing any thing for me.

Also Im feeing more flickering things in my belly! Confused I'm sure it's baby, it's weird! Confused

Omg siarie how exciting! I was induced at 37 weeks too Grin

Cupcake I think it probably is!

LuluJakey1 · 08/04/2015 10:02

Good luck Sairie. Hope it is quick and painless and you are home soon with lovely DD. Smile Keep us up to date. 10lb! Surely not!

LuluJakey1 · 08/04/2015 10:05

Have looked at burn. Skn around it all swollen- should it be like that? much less sore than yesterday.

DS has been up since 5.30am am. We were on the seafront at 6.30. Just me, DH and DS and it was sunny and so peaceful.

lillamyy1 · 08/04/2015 10:07

Oh wow, Siarie! Good luck!! They could be wrong about her being so big... my niece was due to have her baby today but they induced her at 37 weeks because she had preeclampsia. They'd done scans, taken measurements etc and thought the baby would be around 6lbs. When she came out she was under 5lbs Shock So they can get it wrong!!
Keep us updated if you can, Siarie.
Yes Cupcake, I think you should go to the docs with your headaches, they sound more like migraines today if they're very strong and making you feel sick. Tbh whenever I've had bad headaches during this pregnancy I've been taking paracetamol with codeine. A lot of pregnant women are prescribed it for various things so I just decided to get some and it works so much better. But you should definitely talk to your doc first, I was probably quite naughty just taking it without checking Hmm
I think it's your baby you can feel, Cupcake Smile When I first started feeling this little guy moving it felt like bubbles of wind Blush
Haha, between the three of us, Tori and Siarie, we've got 3 biiiig babies Grin

lillamyy1 · 08/04/2015 10:08

Setting off for my scan and sweep now. Got lots of towels in my bag to sit on on the way backing case my waters break in my friend's car!! Grin I'm a bit nervous because I've heard a sweep can hurt Hmm

Siarie · 08/04/2015 10:34

I'm in, on the CTG monitor for 30 mins then they'll pop the gel in and it's a six hour wait to see what happens.

Bearsinmotion · 08/04/2015 10:36

Yay, live labour thread Grin

Ducky23 · 08/04/2015 10:51

You had the pessary siarie?

Lil, it's a bit uncomfortable Confused I had g&a eventually with mine but I'm a wimp with internals and things Confused

lillamyy1 · 08/04/2015 11:51

Oh dear! I forgot to take any painkillers as well Confused Been in th waiting room for nearly an hour! Having a scan first. They're running sooo late or they've forgotten about me! It's really busy and some people have brought their entire families and there are loads of hubbies and kids taking up all the seats! I think DHs should be made to stand up Grin

Ducky23 · 08/04/2015 12:11

I hope all the pregnant ladies have a seat! Grin

Any news siarie?

Siarie · 08/04/2015 12:48

Still waiting for the doctor as the midwives can't do the gel without the doctor. DH has gone to Costa and bought back a toasted panini and a big caramel latte for me. So I'm alright for now but the inefficiency of it all is a bit funny really.

I could be using this time to dilate Grin
