Good thing I'm hungry!

loopylou1984 · 01/02/2015 08:04

Oh and Purdey - I'm not thrilled about the prospect of AI, but if we do need it I just want to get started ASAP!

No lap and dye yet, dr said he would arrange that if not pg by our appointment in April.

Thank you for the cat pee flowers Smile

mummyofonesofar · 01/02/2015 08:27

nightandthelight · 01/02/2015 08:29

baby bump am on my phone so couldn't see all the stats. If I am still on could you please remove? March bus is starting to warm up Smile

MillieMoodle · 01/02/2015 08:35

Hi all, I'm a bit late getting on this bus and pretty much missed the last one altogether! Cd 27 today, AF due tomorrow (I think - this is first cycle after coming of the pill so not sure of my cycle length yet). Have tested this morning with a cheapy test but bfn. If I'm honest, I've tested about a million times in the last week and had lots of bfns. I've come here to find peace and sanity, but reading through the thread, I have come across sex capes and bottom inspectors so I'm not sure I'll find it here...!
Stats are MillieMoodle, 31, ttc #2, cycle 1.

RhiannonElward · 01/02/2015 08:42

Well I POAS this morning and bfn. I must be entirely mad. Forgive yesterday's drama, clearly dp and I had a group hallucination. Good luck to anyone else testing today, I could do with a happy story to cheer me up.

MillieMoodle · 01/02/2015 08:47

Sorry to hear that Rhiannon Thanks fx you get your bfp.

hideandsqueak · 01/02/2015 08:55

Rhiannon it is still early to be testing so don't give up hope! Fx for a BFP later this week. Last time I didn't get a BFP until 4+3

DizzyNorthernBird · 01/02/2015 08:55

Morning everyone. baby as and when you update stats, you can update mine to say AF arrived early Sad. New bfp due date is 7th March so I'm completely out for feb.

TakesTwoToTango · 01/02/2015 09:02

Oh no dizzy!! Sad

Figster · 01/02/2015 09:05

Hi all

Finally convinced my dh to ttc so hopping on. Ive just turned 34, dh is 40 soon and ds turned 3 in dec. He was conceived in around 6 weeks and had an early mc in 2013 at 6wks which was unplanned so we have been compatible in the past but know that means nothing and could take a month could take forever. Basically any time from now means I can stay off on mat leave until ds goes to school and avoid 2 lots of childcare.

I have no idea about cycles and best times though might try and be a bit more scientific this time round. So any tips great fully received.

My AF always worked to a 28 day cycle but last few months it's been longer around 30 and last month it arrived on day 35 which I'm putting down to weeks of lurgy I then spotted for 2 days, had light bleeding for 4 days then a full protracted bleed for 5 days in all it was well over a week and was maddening so no idea when due this month.

Nice to meet you all

loopylou1984 · 01/02/2015 09:12

Welcome Figster Smile
Af has arrive this morning so my new stats are:
SammyLou, 29, ttc #1, cycle 16

Technically my af/bfp date is 1st March, but can I please stick around on here? X

DizzyNorthernBird · 01/02/2015 09:15

takestwo I'm so sorry to desert you Sad, fx you have better luck than I did! Will stick around to see how you get on Smile

Sweets27 · 01/02/2015 09:19

Sorry Dizzy Sad I hope next month is your month!

nightandthelight · 01/02/2015 09:20

So sorry to hear that Sammy please do join the March bus as well :) I am hanging around on both as am so emotionally involved with everyone here!

blondiewoowoo1 · 01/02/2015 09:23

Welcome figster, sorry dizzy and sammylou Sad
Don't give up just yet Rhiannon, it's not over until af arrives.
Weetabix for breakfast here - i'm still a child at heart! Have to have it with hot milk though and DH thinks that is weird....
Getting a cold I think, although glad its this weekend and not last as dtd is no fun with a bunged up nose and sniffing every 20 seconds Hmm

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 01/02/2015 09:25

Morning all,
Mamapo my friend told me you should have the 21 bloods 7 days before AF due (her daughter has Pcos ). I had mine done on Cd 22 as per Drs on what turned out to be a 25 day cycle. I'm going to the Drs next week to discuss the results so don't know if there are any problems. It's checking prostregene levels which I suspect are a bit low which causes the short cycles.

victoria401 · 01/02/2015 09:46

Mamapo yes as purple says the bloods are meant to be done 7 days before af, or 7dpo (if normal 14 day lp). If they are done too early the progesterone won't have had time to reach its peak post ov. If done too late the levels will have started to drop again. When do you normally ov? Earlier than cd14 or do you have 10day lp? My GP actually told me to book in with a nurse to have bloods done every 2 days until af started (from 7dpo) until the result was over 30 just so we didn't miss the peak!

PurdeyBirdie · 01/02/2015 09:58

MaMa, with a 24 day cycle (and without you charting your temps) there is no way of your GP correctly guaging when to test for progesterone (normally day 21-ish for women who ov around CD14). I strongly suspect you are not ovulating - and if you are, you would need to be ov-ing on CD10 in order to have anywhere near a decent luteal phase.

Forget about 'day 21' for the moment and let your GP go ahead and test your FSH, LH, estradiol and TSH. This will give him a good enough idea of how skewed (or not) your hormones are.

PurdeyBirdie · 01/02/2015 10:00

Sammy, a scan will only tell you if your womb looks hospital (ie no adhesions or polyps or endometriosis). What a scan will not show is whether your tubes are blocked and sperm can travel through. I would insist on the dye test and ring the receptionist and ask for a printout of your husband's SA. Some GP's will interpret a 3% morphology as 'fine' but, really, it is not..

PurdeyBirdie · 01/02/2015 10:00

*hospitable!

ninjabeer · 01/02/2015 10:01

Well this is quite the racey bus. Bum inspections and sex capes with a side of Belgian Waffles and a sprinkling of maca root. Love it. This bus has got to be lucky. I will try my best to keep up!

Blue500 · 01/02/2015 10:02

Morning all

Shreddies for breakfast here, although I'm also eyeing up the fab sponge cake I made yesterday for dessert Blush... Well it is a Sunday!!

Dilemma here, we dtd yest afternoon and got my positive opk early eve so I've covered myself for yesterday but can't decide when to go for it today. Should it be sooner rather then later? DH has bronchitis so I'm pushing my luck in getting any action today at all, but I just want to try and time it as best we can.
In an ideal world I would dtd this morning and evening Wink but there's no way DH can perform that much! Argh hate trying to second guess when the egg will make an appearance!

PurdeyBirdie · 01/02/2015 10:05

..Mama, if your day 3 test is good then I would echo what the others have said and have 'day21' done seven days before AF would normally be due.

Frankie2015 · 01/02/2015 10:10

New to Mumsnet and loving it already!! What a great community!!
