Hey I just wanted to pop on to add a bit of encouragement to people with spotting issues. I wrote sometime similar at end of january bus but think most had moved on. I also had brown spotting in the days leading up to af sometimes as early as 7 dpo. My luteal phase was around 10-12 days. I went to gp as I was concerned about progesterone levels. They of course fobbed me off so i just carried on dtd and hoping for a bfp. I did get my bfp and I'm nearly 13 weeks pregnant so although spotting can mean a problem it's not necessarily the case for everyone and can just be a normal part of your cycle. I'd started temping the month I got my bfp but I wish I'd started doing that earlier so I could have seen if I had a temp dip once the spotting started but unfortunately i didn't. I had a classic implantation dip with 3 days of red spotting when i had my bfp but all is well now

Please do get checked put though if u think u have a problem with progesterone as purdey says. I just hope they are kinder than they were to me.

I'm one of those spotters and going to lay down the law (or softly ask more likely...) at my app in a couple weeks at fertility clinic for them to monitor my prog. I'm already feeling out about asking!!! So glad you are doing so well, I remember you from earlier buses!! Exciting times ahead for you!

DTD this morning and will do tonight and twice tomorrow. Taking vit supps. Trying to stay positive. Good luck all!

My update is I've been up all night with terrible migraine and trying to be sick. Urgh! Rotten! Anyway, my temp started to Rise up today so I'm holding on to hope.... My chart attached is totally screwed as my temps are so high from CD 1-10 ish because that was the mc and they are usually really low at this stage, so it's kinda distorted the first half of my cycle. I checked back on my previous charts and my temp is exactly same today as how it usually is at this point past my two fertile OPKs so although it doesn't look like a sharp rise, it is the same as this every month after OV.. Slow rising. Purdey thoughts?!

Sparkly, I can't see that you've ovulated yet (there has to be a rise of at least .2 in temperature for them to pinpoint ov) but there is certainly always hope. Are you continuing to use opks in case CD15 & 16 were post-miscarriage red herrings? Oh, sweetheart, I can feel your frustration and I wish we could just see that nice big rise

I still remember the frustrations I had in regards to the spotting especially when it would last almost a week before af eventually arrived so I just wanted to send some encouragement to others. Had another baby bomb on fbook last night, a birth rather than a pregnancy though. I don't comment anymore otherwise I get 'it'll be you next' or 'isn't it about time you had one?' And I can't handle that! So instead I look like a crap friend who doesn't care!??

Sammy literally every other post on Facebook is a scan pic or newborn. Which is just lovely for them and I am happy for everyone of course.. It just renews how much you want it yourself I guess. The day I found out I was pregnant my best friends baby was born.. Then when I was miscarried a few days later I was constantly getting photo texts sent to me of the newborn in hospital and felt terrible as it was so lovely to see yet made me so emotional too.. I still havent told my friend and I got my last newborn shot only a couple hours ago! It's a tough one! ... Need to all focus on the fact that one day soon it will be us.. We will have the scan pic, the pregnancy announcement, the newborn photos.. And every cycle we are one step closer!! not long until dtd starts for you!

I've told one friend who has a 4 month old and she is very good and only sends me pics when I ask... And weirdly this has made me ok with seeing them. I think it's a) the shock when it's unexpected and b) the fear of being asked when I'm having one that makes me not want to see others... Does that make any sense?

Sparkly, I wouldn't deign to advise you about the October chart but I am utterly bamboozled by how late you ovulate after your first LH surge. I can't believe it. Your pregnancy chart also blows my theory out of the water (actually, it's not my theory, it is in the charting tech Q&A section of FF) that there needs to be a rise in temp of at least .2 for ov to have occurred I will go and find the FF blurb about this....

Sparkly, working on the data from your pregnancy chart perhaps you ov'd yesterday on CD18? What do you reckon?

So basically Purdey I'm a mutant right? I too can't believe how long after the LH surge I OV but it's consistently the same each month!
