Ah ok thanks Ma! That's very helpful.

I might take my temp on first waking, and then again on "proper" waking to see if they differ. The only problem is, the bloody thermometer I have makes a big BEEEEEEP noise when it's read the temp, so my husband will think I've gone mad in the early hours!

ibeka · 04/02/2015 11:34

bowie, I often wake in the night for a pee. My alarm goes off at 7. I have a rule that if I wake before 4 I go to the loo then go back to sleep and temp at 7. If I wake after 6 I temp then. If I wake between 4 and 6 I lie really still and try to go back to sleep without peeing for a couple of hours! My temps have been pretty even (see graph further up the thread).

nightandthelight · 04/02/2015 11:34

I'm not fantasizing juney I'm panicking! Don't think my parents will be happy :(

TakesTwoToTango · 04/02/2015 11:44

Night why wouldn't they be happy?

Sweets27 · 04/02/2015 11:48

Oh wow, lots of replies since I asked who's poas in the coming days! wishing, ibeka, boris, FX for us all!

dojo, I'm really sorry you've had such a tough time. I'm hovering between this and the March bus at the moment, and it'd be nice to see you there - the March bus is lovely, although very quiet compared with this one!

nightandthelight · 04/02/2015 11:49

They are very career orientated Takes Two and children can be a bit damaging to careers. It was hard enough getting them on board with me getting married. They came round about three weeks before the day following 8 months of misery on my part :(

TakesTwoToTango · 04/02/2015 11:50

AF due tomorrow here. No symptoms (not surprising given my BFN yesterday). Am ravenous though, so I'm guessing that's my PMS ramping up! Am hoping that as I'm losing the weight I gained post-previous dc, my cycle might go back a bit closer to its pre-pg 30/31 days (rather than the recent 28 days), because the decrease seems to be in the length of my luteal phase, but we'll see. If no AF come Fri morning, I'll poas again because I like peeing on money Hmm I have a dinner on Fri night which could be quite boozy.

TakesTwoToTango · 04/02/2015 11:53

Night wow, they sound like hard work! Good for you going ahead with what you and DH want anyway.

nightandthelight · 04/02/2015 11:58

Thanks TakesTwo has taken me years to get here (and counselling). I used to let them control my whole life but now I just go ahead anyway and they can like it or lump it :) don't get me wrong they aren't evil and have many redeeming features but they just have a very clear idea what my life should be and it doesn't marry with what I want my life to be!

PurdeyBirdie · 04/02/2015 11:59

Ibeka, in my humble opinion the majority of BFPs can be detected two days before AF. There are plenty of anecdotes, though, that attest to lots of negatives and then a surprise BFP. I don't like anecdotes Hmm I prefer statistics Smile Steel yourself, my lovely..Thanks

Trixie, thanks for the quilt compliment Smile

Dojo, bless you Thanks

PurdeyBirdie · 04/02/2015 12:02

Night, are your parents Chinese? They sound like those tiger parents!

Lillygolightly · 04/02/2015 12:04

Hi Ladies,

Dojo I am so sorry about mc, I am so sad for you Flowers

wishing, ibeka, boris, sweets Hoping to see plenty of BFP's from you lovelies!! Will be keeping fingers AND toes X'd for you all.

Purdey noticed in prev post you mentioned your a Lancashire lass, me too!! Nice to know I have an wealth of knowledge nearby Grin

Well for me I've been feeling a little sicky yesterday and today, and been completely knackered. As I don't temp or opk I've no real confirmation of DPO but going off Ovia I'd guess 4DPO though suppose I could have Ovulated earlier. Not sure if the sicky feeling and the tiredness is to be taken as a symptom or me just wishful thinking and I think if I am 4DPO its got to be to early for symptom spotting right???

The 2WW is the most frustrating thing ever!!!! Roll on POAS time!!!

Sorry about the big post, been trying to catch up with everyone.

Sweets27 · 04/02/2015 12:06

night, that sounds really tough - your parents should let you live your own life! I can't remember how old you are - are they worried because you're very young? Even then, they should just be supportive.

Sometimes I think the older generation fails to understand how much things have moved on since they were having babies - maternity leave and flexible working are now easier, and it's so much more socially acceptable to be a working mum. It's also far more common to have a really active career and social life when you're older and your children have grown up.

takestwo, fx for you too in the coming days!

Hairstylisttoboris · 04/02/2015 12:07

night sounds like you are related to me. But now I get comments about having left it to late.... Not from my immediate family mind but all the extended family think my career and family life is open season for commenting and gossip.

dojo Flowers I am so sorry. Stick around here kiddo, we will keep you company.

nightandthelight · 04/02/2015 12:07

No they are as British and British comes Purdey. They have just built their entire lives around work to the detriment of all else and can't understand why I don't want that.

nightandthelight · 04/02/2015 12:10

Hi Sweets I am 26 so hardly a baby! I just present everything to them now as a fait accompli so they can't do anything :)

I think you are right about the lack of awareness of flexible working etc. My parents still seem to think that you can only be successful if you are in the office past 7 in the evening!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 04/02/2015 12:10

I was half joking Glittery but that's good! Ovia suggests POAS on Monday but that would only be CD30 and my last two cycles have been over 40 days... So I was going to try and wait until at least next weekend. Maybe it could be a romantic Valentine's Day activity!

nightandthelight · 04/02/2015 12:11

When will people realise it's none of their business eh Hair!

tessiegirl · 04/02/2015 12:14

Oh night that sounds tough. But surely your parents at some point must have felt they wanted to have a family of their own besides from work as they had you! Can't they understand that you want that too?!!

australopithecus · 04/02/2015 12:19

So presumably ovulated on 30 Jan, today light pink watery bleeding when wiping? Not spotting, but not heavy enough to appear except when going to the loo either (so far.)
Implantation, CP, AF? What's the verdict? Confused

nightandthelight · 04/02/2015 12:24

Yes this is true tessie. I was portioned out to childminders though so my parents could work late and I think they know I wouldn't be like that and are worried about the impact that will have on my career. I'm sure they will come round when there is an actual baby though, it will be telling them that is the tough bit. When I rang them to them them DH had proposed you could have cut the silence with a knife!

spinningirl10 · 04/02/2015 12:25

Trixie, pleased I'm not the only one who snoops on the other side! Smile

Purdey, I just had a little look back and your patchwork quilt is amazing! do you still do that sort of thing? 9 months in re-hab sounds like a long time. Inspiring stuff, well done.

Sparkly123 · 04/02/2015 12:33

Dojo I'm so sorry Flowers I had similar last month and it's a rollercoaster of emotions but you are absolutely right to look at the positives. Focus on them and that will help you move forward. We are all here to support you too Flowers

Glittery pannetone idea! Amazing! Ha. I am italian too. Was born here but my parents both italian and their parents so full of the italian blood ha ha.

mustbemad71 · 04/02/2015 12:34

Oooo Aus - IB! Too early for a CP or AF. Fingers crossed for you.

Dojo so sorry, sounds like a similar pattern to my CP. You are right to feel positive - you will be pregnant again.

Lillygolightly · 04/02/2015 12:38

austral if Ovulation on the 30th Jan I'd say implantation is most likely. Fingers X'd

night sorry about your parents. My in laws have always been subdued about any pregnancy announcements....non of the congrats fanfair...just oh thanks for telling us sort of a deal. They love my DD's and fuss over them now but were never that fussed/excited over the whole pregnancy thing. TBH it makes me dread a time when I will have to announce preg no. 3 as we always claimed we were stopping at 2!! I think they were relieved with that, though I've come to understand that they find it a lot of worry for them, MIL is quiet the worrier. We are both in our 30s and are stable and cope very well with the 2 we already have....doesn't seem to stop them worrying though. Must point out that my in laws are lovely btw. I am sure like you say yours will come around and will love the little bundle and you may even be surprised how much the fuss over a baby /grandchild.
