Second cycle of trying...sort of. Tried at beginning of jan but missed ovulation as was at the end of dec. Period due 6th feb.

Am impatient. Want to take a test, but know its just a waste of money!

Absolutely no real symptoms at all , unless you count my usual pre-period ones, which of course my brain is desperately trying to twist into "could I be" ones. But deep down I know that at around 10dpo I'm likely out this month.

I feel down just like I usually do at this time of the month, every month, I'm acting the same, just as irrational, weepy etc, eating the same sweet tooth etc, the sore post-O boobs I had have gone away completely now and I have no food cravings, no sickness nothing. Sad

Back to peeing on ov sticks and charting even though I know it's far too early. My long cycle prolongs the agony!

Roll on the 2nd April when AF is due and I'll know either way.

SeldomAthleticFC · 12/03/2015 19:08

AF arrived today, 3 frigging days earlier than I'd expected. My 2ww is getting shorter and shorter. This cycle was 24 days. Bollocks.

Monkeysocks38 · 12/03/2015 19:48

Ah no Seldom. AF also arrived for me today which makes this cycle 26 days. This was exactly 14 days after ovulation though so I think it's still ok in terms of the luteal (not sure if that's how it's spelt) phase. Do you know when you ovulated?

I've added some additional supplements for this month so now also taking coq10 and Maca capsules. I'm considering investing in Holland & Barrett shares!

I have decided that this next month will be different in that I am not going to get totally obsessed with the 2WW and symptom spotting. It will be just like any other two weeks. Let's see if I can stick to this in two weeks time!

temperamentalamongcorvids · 12/03/2015 19:53

Sorry to hear that seldom

I'm back in the 2w. Was so sure I was pregnant last month, I was genuinely shocked when af arrived bang on time. I kept a list of all my many symptoms so this time I can remind myself that pms has all the same same features as early pregnancy.

piercedprincess · 13/03/2015 20:28

Yeah, I can feel my period coming too. Getting depressed now. Oh well, hopefully my luck will change next month.

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 19/03/2015 17:37

Back to the tww. I never thought I could get bored of sex but this week has done me in. Every night for 5 nights!

Anyone else? I can test in 10 days.

piercedprincess · 20/03/2015 01:43

Yep period came and now a new cycle begins. Waiting for ovulation now, will start testing with OPKS tomorrow.

BuggerLumpsAnnoyed · 20/03/2015 07:59

Had a really busy month, was taking a break from obsessing about getting pregnant and tried relaxing ( was so relaxed I only dtd twice) anyway got my bfp on tues...taken about 10 tests and a digital! So glad this thread is still about!

Aaah, the 2ww. Most exciting and boring thing ever. My cycles used to be 28 days exactly so by that I'd be due to test on Sunday 29th. But I'm still bfing a little dd and my last cycle was 34 days. This cycle I had a positive opk I think on day 17 so I'm considering this cycle to be 17 + 14, so due AF on 31st. Does it make sense to think if my cycle and poas timing like this?

2down · 20/03/2015 16:53

Well I'm back to symptom watching again! DH and I dtd last weekend (day 14) and 2 days later my breasts started to ache and haven't stopped since (running is NOT fun!!!). I get this like clockwork a few days to a week before starting the AF, but I never get it as early as Day 16! No other symptoms yet but the paranoia is already starting as I know I have another week to wait until I can test. We already have 2 DCs (youngest is 6) and weren't planning any more so this would be a bit of a curveball, but a new addition to the family would of course be very welcome! The thing is, I went through all the symptom watching a few months ago when we had a similar situation (but it was only day 10 so less likely). I realised that I get cramping, sore boobs etc anyway coming up to AF and that none of it meant a thing! But I am decidedly suspicious this time about the sore boobs being quite so early. I'll keep you posted!

piercedprincess · 21/03/2015 06:05

Am using the artificial insemination method this month, along with naturally trying as well, to ease some of the pressure off for both of us. Plus we can cover more days than usual this way, as typically we both flag around day 5, this way we can cover 7 days. I'm hoping the solar eclipse is a good omen, here's hoping all of us have a (big fat) positive month. Grin

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 21/03/2015 06:23

Huge congrats Bumped! Smile

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 21/03/2015 06:24

Buggerlumps I mean. You'll soon be bumped though!

2down · 21/03/2015 10:07

Morning ladies! Well it's all about the boobs again today. They still feel very achy and the skin feels more sensitive but the main development this morning is that they look and feel bigger - at least to me! They seem to have expanded sideways and look fuller - less saggy (after two children they are past their best, lol!). Now, they do usually look a bit more perky right before af is due - but that's still a week away and they don't normally feel like this. My gut feeling is that I'm not imagining this. I sent dh out for some folic acid last night and have started it, just to be in the safe side. We are going out tonight and I'm going to drive so I have an excuse not to drink. My main concern is that I'm nearly 43 and the odds of something going wrong are so much higher than when I had the other two. If next weekend brings a bfp I'll be looking for an over 40 antenatal thread for some moral support. But that's still a week away.....

2down · 22/03/2015 10:55

Where's everyone gone? It's all gone quiet! Well I've been reading my posts from October when we last had a pg 'scare' and I wore that I was 90% sure I wasn't pregnant but still manically symptom watching. This is different. My bbs are definitely swollen and sensitive to the point where I have my arm over my chest to support them when I'm walking fast (and must look a right idiot). I will be really surprised if I'm not pg - so much so that I almost want to start a December 2015 thread (edd would be Dec 5 from my calculations). I think after 2 babies I know my own body! I think dh believes it too cos he started looking at house prices for 4 bed houses (too expensive, we'd be getting bunk beds instead) and dh isn't one for 'hypothetical' situations!

So how's everyone else doing? Having found this thread, I'd love some company!

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 22/03/2015 11:26

I'm still here! In the dreaded tww though for some daft reason POAS this morning- only 5dpo and surprisingly enough it was a bfn. Roll on Saturday when I can actually test.

Droflove · 22/03/2015 16:46

2 down what day post ov are you now? I'm day 21 of my cycle, usually a 28 day cycle but breastfeeding still a little and only had one cycle of 35 days. This time I think I ovulated day 17/18 which would mean af due around Tuesday week. Seems miles away!

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 22/03/2015 17:23

Is anyone else using an app called Ovia? It seems quite good to me, though I have no idea how accurate it is?

2down · 22/03/2015 19:20

Hi Macca and Droflove! I am 8dpo, assuming ovulation was day 14 and in any case, that was the day we DTD. Today I had several bouts of hormonal crying and a retching session after eating a sausage roll. It seems very early to be getting nausea already (I had a miserable time with morning sickness with both dcs) but given the boobs, I expect it's related. Maybe it's twins! Higher chance when you're in your 40s......

Babybear31 · 22/03/2015 20:33

Evening ladies
I'm a newby on here but pleased to say I got a bfp today after 16mths of ttc whoopah! ( I'm only 5 weeks gone so trying to not get carried away) but I have been on here symptom spotting for the last 2 weeks (for over a yearWink) and I just knew from what everyone else was saying they felt like that I was pregnant this time. We already have a 2yr old who took 5 years to come along so I wasn't surprised it took a little while this time around. I've had lots of symptoms though, the biggest one being my expanding chest! Boobs have felt bigger for the whole of 2ww, (didn't with my first) but in a weird way they've got fuller in width if that makes sense! Sensitive on the sides and have felt so heavy. I've also been really thirsty at night, had insomnia this week and a week after ovulating was really dizzy also eaten like a piggy! Didnt have any symptoms first time around so im surprised. Anyway wanted to say massive thanks to all those who have had bfp and given me hope while I researched every niggle and sending love and hope that if youre climbing the walls in your 2ww for those magic lines/words, you get your bfp..good luck!

2down · 23/03/2015 16:41

Hi Babybear! Congratulations! Especially after what's clearly been a long wait with both pgs. Fingers crossed that everything goes well for you xx. Your description of your boobs expanding sideways is exactly what I'm experiencing. I asked dh to have a look and see if he could tell the difference but he got a bit sidetracked, lol! No real change here, I haven't been sick again but I'm definitely not wanting greasy, fatty food - which is probably just as well as I normally exercise most days and I just can't face it. Even walking hurts the boobs unless it's slow! Hopefully at the weekend I'll get a bfp and you and I can join the December ante-natal group - fingers crossed for macca and Droflove and anyone else still waiting too.
