2 week wait. anyone else impatient?

Second cycle of trying...sort of. Tried at beginning of jan but missed ovulation as was at the end of dec. Period due 6th feb.

Am impatient. Want to take a test, but know its just a waste of money!

But don'the lose heart just yet, it ain't over till the fat lady sings. Or something.

Feeling impatient! 6 days post ovulation and itching to test! Driving me mad!! Am i alone!?

Most definitely not Baker! I am 7 or 8 DPO and the thought of having to wait another week to know one way or the other is just horrendous! This is my first cycle TTC so I'm determined not to test any sooner than 14DPO as if it was a bfn I'd probably then want to re-test daily. I'm also slightly irrationally concerned that tomorrow I have to get a train to London, give a one-hour seminar to a room full of people and then go on to a very important meeting - but what if I suddenly get overcome with nausea or other such symptoms.

I'm feeling anxious. I should stop googling symptoms as I now think it's an ectopic pg.
Or cancer.
I should have a bloody whisky and go to bed!

Seldom really sorry about your oh and their job. Rubbish at any time even harder when ttc.

So I tested yesterday afternoon after lots of tea and very slight bfp so retested this morning feeling excited and it is still there but even less. She can see yesterday's but not today's. That sounds like a chemical doesn't it?

Ok so was at the gynae today....alone. My husband was supposed to come with me but cancelled last minute! So fed up!

jen that's awful. He should be as invested as you are in the ivf process. From what you've said so far he sounds like a pretty crap husband.

Well, I'm definitely out but thank fuck! I feel like a human being again now the raging hormonal madness is over!
Today I spoke to a mate at work about my symptoms - cramps at odd times, weird sensations, peculiar discharge. Total hormonal insanity... And she says "welcome to the menopause! You've got another decade of this to look forward to!"
At 41, it's not a total surprise but I thought I had a couple of years left. I'm not too downhearted. It's still not impossible to get pg, I guess. But I don't currently feel too bad if I can't. Although that may change when the hormones kick in again in a couple of weeks...
I already have 2 DC with my exH. My OH doesn't have any, but he needs a job - after getting the sack yesterday - more than he needs kids right now!

I remember the 2 weeks wait. My first time i really thought i was pregnant. Then this previous cycle i just could not wait. I drove myself crazy. I tested at 9 dpo and bfn. Teated at morning of 11 dpo and bfn. Tested evening of 11 dpo and faint faint positive. I am now 5 weeks pregnant. The best thing to do is distract yourself as mich as possible. Do not allow yourself any fown time. When i was at work i was so busy to count the dayS. But as soon as i hot home the agony of waiting drove me up the wall. Beat of lick to you ladies.

mrscat increased thirst is an early pg symptom for me.

BFN this morning, 10dpo. I only keep doing this because of the pile of Internet cheapies, they're too inexpensive to resist.

Does anyone know how long after ovulating in a five week cycle I can test? If you can test with FRER at 10dpo on a 28 day cycle should I wait until 14dpo?

Macca I am afraid I am not the right person to offer advice on when to test - test far too early myself!

So bfp and due today! Excited but have had two mc so very aware this is very early days.
Came off the pill in jan 2014 but for life reasons couldn't start trying till jan this year!
Don't think I have the confidence to join the pregnancy board quite yet!
