I'm sorry everyone's having so many problems with lines today.

There's a line but it's fainter. This is on first response. The Internet cheapie is still showing a faint positive. I don't know if the time of day makes a difference, the clear positive was early afternoon and this was the morning

mollym14 · 06/02/2015 08:47

Time of day can definitely make a difference because early on the strength of the line will depend on how concentrated the urine is (or how long it has been in your body). If you went to the loo in the night or drank a lot of water than the urine will be more diluted and/or spent less time in your body.

gingerbreadmam · 06/02/2015 08:48

thanks molly

snoopy av u posted pics? will av to av a look on computer. if id have gone by the accunew one i did this morning i would definitely had said yesterdays was a fluke but the asda one done 2 hours later which is the blue one in the pic is quite clear altho feint. id kp trying u wont settle if u dont.

mollym14 · 06/02/2015 08:49

Sorry just to clarify, the time of day won't make the difference but the time of day can affect how high the levels of hormone are likely to be, just due to the fact that we pee less and take in less liquid at night. But maybe when you tested yesterday afternoon you a) hadn't been drinking much and/or b) hadn't been to the loo in a few hours.

northdownmummy · 06/02/2015 08:50

Congrats ginger those are defiantly lines.

I'm in the 2ww now and really anxious. My due date was 1st March so this is our last chance to get a BFP before then. I'm not feeling optimistic at all but since the doctor has already agreed to a referral and I'm getting my day 21 bloods done next week there's not much I can do except wait.

Of to London for a weekend with a friend, it's the first time away on my own for fun (plenty of nasty work trips) in over 3 years so long overdue. Thinking of glugging a few glasses of vino. With the exception if Christmas I've been pretty much off booze since September while trying to conceive, fat lot of good that did. Oh and of course also off it from May till August while pregnant.... I'll be a very cheap drunk, totally out of practice.

Been reading this thread with interest. Had a mmc in Sept and my cycle only got back to normal in December. DTD like a loon over christmas but BFN afterwards. So disappointing. Was tracking my ovulation this cycle and it seemed that I was all over the place - according to clearblue I ovulatued a number of times this cycle. Had entirely written this cycle off but got a BFP this morning!! So happyGrin
Anyway my post is about keeping the faith - chins up, it WILL happen!

CarrotPuff · 06/02/2015 09:06

Yes it's still post mc. It's been 3.5 weeks now. I know it can sometimes take longer, but... I was measuring only 5 weeks, so I assumed it would be over quickly... Or do you still keep producing hcg till your body realises the baby has died?

chasingtherainbow · 06/02/2015 09:10

Congratulations jockey.

Molly is right it's not the time of day it's the concentrate of hormone. Fmu is usually reliable because the urine is strong, however like opks, some women find their hormones peak midday and so will get stronger bfp results later on (mine are best in the AM)
Also comparing tests is unreliable as unless the same brand from the same box, the dye levels (as indicated by the test line) vary. So one bfp might seem considerably lighter/thinner but isn't actually anything to worry about.

And finally ladies - let's remember testing early like this is temperamental and at times entirely unreliable. If your bean is sticky they will stick and we will know soon.. I know it's hard but step away from the tests and give a few days Flowers

someone make me read this when I start testing like a lunatic next month

gingerbreadmam · 06/02/2015 09:16

carrotpuff i dont think size matters. my mmc stopped developing at 5 weeks but my body never recognised it. had 4 weeks of waiting then failed medical management then erpc. i think it could just be too soon but u will feel more reassured if u speak to someone professional.

i know youre completely right chasing its just so hard when youre so desperate. the good thing about where we all are now is we know bfp is just the first hurdle.

congratulations jockey lovely news!

chasingtherainbow · 06/02/2015 09:20

I can't even think past a bfp right now.

Last night I dreamt a positive pregnancy test - exactly how I discovered I was pregnant last time- except this time the window was smashed. What's that about. I'm due on Tuesday but I'm certain we were way out of ovulation period before dtd because of the methotrexate. Maybe I'm just thinking too much about it.

gingerbreadmam · 06/02/2015 09:32

chasing not sure if it was this thread i posted on but the wkend before last when i ovulated dreamt i got 3 or 4 bfps (cant remember now) and logged onto mumsnet and updated 'today i am pregnant' thats whats had me so obsessed with all the testing this week it was so vivid!

i was asking if people know exactly when they have conceived cos thats what it felt like to me that i just knew. weird!

Romeolovesjuliet · 06/02/2015 09:37

Sympathies carrot waiting for that BFN is awful. I am still getting a faint positive - it's only been 2 weeks but I have a follow up at EPUB today and I strongly suspect they will say I need ERPC as scan a week ago showed lining still just over the acceptable thickness. Frustrating as I feel completely ok again now and that will take me back to square 1 plus I'm scared what having another ERPC will do to my body (last one in 2011). That said, I'm sooo ready to move on and try again so I guess if that's the only thing that will achieve this I have to go with that...

Tentative congrats to ginger, will be keeping everything crossed for you over the next few days and weeks.

gingerbreadmam · 06/02/2015 09:44

romeo so sorry it is dragging on for you. if you are still bleeding hopefully the lining is thinner and everything will be ok.

if u do have to go down the erpc route just keep on telling yourself once it is over you can get back on track ttc again. i know its awful. from me discovering mmc to getting bfn was about 8 weeks. look at me now though Grin

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 06/02/2015 09:47

chasing you are so right about testing this early. I wish I could take your advice, I've just tried a boots test and it's faint but definite positive.

I think I'm going to ask to see a counsellor. I'm really not feeling very good at the moment. I wish I could hide what is going on but I need to keep my line manager informed and it's just making me feel like a huge failure and I'm sure everyone thinks im a maniac.

Romeolovesjuliet · 06/02/2015 09:50

Thanks ginger, I'm not bleeding now other than a bit of old stuff which is why I'm not too hopeful. They pencilled me in for ERPC on Monday so at least if I do have to have it I won't have to wait - that will be exactly one month from the 12 wk scan when we discovered the mmc but feels like a lifetime ago. Trying to be positive as I recovered quickly from last ERPC and DD was conceived in my wtf cycle.

Romeolovesjuliet · 06/02/2015 09:52

snoopy go easy on yourself, you are definitely normal in all of your thoughts and feelings. No one can understand how difficult and heartbreaking miscarriage and then trying again and any subsequent pregnancy is unless they have experienced it themselves.

gingerbreadmam · 06/02/2015 09:52

well if you follow the same cycle this time just think you could have your next bfp before easter - excellent time for a bfp great excuse for extra eggs!

mollym14 · 06/02/2015 10:01

snoopy echoing romeo here- please do go easy on yourself. It's such a rollercoaster and the lows can be so so low. We're all rooting for you and for your bfps to continue.

gingerbreadmam · 06/02/2015 10:02

ooh a bit of woo for you all...i am currently in the midst of txt conversation with my mam re feint bfp. she is asking why i didnt just get a cb test so i have explained about being early and not wasting money etc.

anyway last bfp i got on cheapies too and we went shopping together and got a digi with the weeks on so i said i dont need one of them this time i know exactly when i got pregnant cos i dreamt it and felt it.

anyhoo the woo bit...she said that happened to me with db (her first child) who is also an october baby! wooooo!!!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 06/02/2015 10:13

Haha ginger that is spooky.

romeo so sorry for what you're going through. You are proof these tragedies can have happy endings.

Thank you all for your kind words. I've attached a pic so you can see what I am up against.
Top test was late afternoon three days ago.
Middle test fmu today(don't even think you can see the line in that photo)
Bottom test second urine today.

gingerbreadmam · 06/02/2015 10:25

snoopy going to have a look on the computer.

did u mention below you were thinking about counselling? i would highly reccomend it. ive only had 2 sessions so far but already a big help. as is thw 2ww lol!

chasingtherainbow · 06/02/2015 10:26

Snoopy ignoring that middle test I'd say that's getting darker and you are most definitely, and undoubtedly preggo. Flowers please take care of yourself. No one thinks your a maniac but those who haven't suffered find it hard to relate. If you need to see someone do it sooner rather than later. Xxxxxx

chasingtherainbow · 06/02/2015 10:28

Ginger I like a bit of baby related woo! When I was pregnant with dd we were sure she was a boy. I dreamt my husband changing a girls nappy and called her by her name. Then I just knew!

Then with my mc bfp, I had done a test and threw it away. I dreamt that night that I'd taken it out of the bin and it was positive. Next say fished it out there was a 2nd line.

This broken test dream had made me feel a bit weird tbh

gingerbreadmam · 06/02/2015 10:28

snoopy can see the lines clearly on top and bottom. even on the middle test i can almost see where the line starts and ends as if it is mega mega feint. omg im going to have to compare out feintness ha.

are you going to test again after lunch? use a pink one i dont like what i read about blue ones.

gingerbreadmam · 06/02/2015 10:29

i know the broken test is weird but...u didnt have that last time with mmc. maybe it means this time it is strong or will be mischievious?

ahh so baby woo is a real thing lol!
