I had one at 6 weeks with dd (i was extremely poorly during swine flu season and spent 4 days in hospital) saw a flickering heartbeat. Will remember that moment forever.

Had another at 10 wks which was incredible. But then they wouldn't give us one at 12 wks so saw her again at 20 wks and again at 38.

I'd book a scan for about 8/9 wks privately if I wasn't given an early one (presumably about 6wks) to check it isn't eptopic.

Would anyone request hcg testing?

gingerbreadmam · 25/01/2015 18:46

i dont know anything about hcg levels never made it as far as the midwife as they cancelled on me. glad in a way as id always looked forward to getting a blue folder so at least i hadnt got that far.

for me and the way things happened this time i think id rather just assume everything was ok until it actually happened naturally if it were to be bad news again. its easy for me to say that after one mc and not being pregnant again yet. i am sure it will all change should i get a bfp.

Gr33dyeggs · 25/01/2015 19:02

I've already been told I can ask for an early scan. I've had mc at 9 and 11 weeks so would probably ask for one at 10. I understand nothing can be done to prevent a mc but the stress of not knowing would, for me, be worse.

gingerbreadmam · 25/01/2015 19:15

id probs feel like that once i have a bfp. i suppose wht i have now is experience and should i get bad news again id have more knowledge to push for what was right for me.

chasingtherainbow · 25/01/2015 19:23

Am shopping in the mama and papas sale for theoretical baby Blush

gingerbreadmam · 25/01/2015 19:32

oooohhh chasing i like it. ive debated it but darnt helps i cant afford to either Grin happy shopping im going to have a quick window shop now

chasingtherainbow · 25/01/2015 19:43

I'm currently narrowing down my changing bag choices haha! Shopping helps me cope with life Grin

I'm really focusing on imagining our "12 week scan" .. letting the emotions of excitement flow through me whenever I get anxious. I have no idea how long it'll take us to get pregnant again. It took so long before that I have to remember we could be in for a wait again. I also spend a few minutes a day telling myself it will happen.. how it'll be great next time and safe and wonderful. I really hope so. . I think my heart truly believes it. But my logical brain kicks in with intrusive thoughts if what ifs.

gingerbreadmam · 25/01/2015 19:49

i worry ill start worrying if that makes sense but weve been through it once, multiple times unfortunately for some people and you get through it, you have to.

on the plus side i dont think ive heard of anyone who has had a mc and then never been able to have a baby (i know this does happen i jus mean it is less common than ppl mc then havinga baby) so just keep in mind we will get there. we will.

shopping is a good distraction.

gingerbreadmam · 25/01/2015 19:51

oh and speaking of changing bags i noticed next do them and theyre really reasonable not the best reviews tho. they do have a tan one which would go lovely with the navy and tan mothercare pram i had picked prior to mc.

chasingtherainbow · 25/01/2015 19:54

Yep I picked out a lot before I mc :-(

My mum had 7 mc between her 7 successful pregnancies, but for every mc her next was successful. This gives me a bit of hope, weirdly

Gr33dyeggs · 25/01/2015 20:19

I've got blood stained cm again. Haven't dtd recently. I had this last cycle but didn't note when. CD 19 now. Anyone else had this? I'll mention it to dr on Thursday.

chasingtherainbow · 25/01/2015 20:52

Blood streaked cm is supposed to be considered very fertile.

I had it 4 cycles in a row cd 12-15 then got pg.

gingerbreadmam · 25/01/2015 21:57

chasing bar it being so many for your poor mum i also like the subsequent successes. hopefully you will follow in your mums footsteps for your next pregnancy (and only that one)

i dont know about blood stained cm but what chasing said sounds positive.

chasingtherainbow · 26/01/2015 07:51

Hmm. I'm verrry achey today buy still no cm. If I was guessing I'd say I was Oving today, and from my right side possibly. But as I say no cm and my opk has been pos yesterday and day before. . I'm not bothering to take anymore opk to check. Will save them for next mo.

gingerbreadmam · 26/01/2015 08:59

dtd just incase. cant hurt. wish you could know when ov make it so much easier wouldnt it?

i hope i have. if i dont get bfp this month which is probs hardly unlikely im going to try and forget about ttc and jus let it happen as already my dp is saying thats all im interested in and it has been 1 wkend.

TeenieDeenie · 26/01/2015 09:47

Morning all! So I've come to work armed with a bag full of tampons and pads of all shapes, sizes and absorbencies. They weren't kidding when they said you're first period might be heavier!!! Shock

The first day that me and my oh even started to think about buying baby stuff we went into Mothercare to pick up something for a friend. I ended up buying a little safari play mat/baby gym thing that was on sale. It was later that afternoon that I started to bleed. Sad

Anyway, CD2 and we've agreed that we will ttc as soon as AF is gone.

MrsEvansAlmost · 26/01/2015 09:52

so poas this morning got a very clear bfn.. hitting its just because its too early to test.Sad

a friend has her baby shower this week ( due in same month) and still haven't rsvp'd glad she has baby brain as I've conveniently forgotten to get back to her Sad bad friend Angry

MrsEvansAlmost · 26/01/2015 09:53

double checked test before binning it. really really faint 2nd line how many of you ladies had that before getting a clear bfp or was it clear from the off? x

TeenieDeenie · 26/01/2015 10:10

Oooh, MrsE! How many dpo are you? If it's still early and 2nd line is very faint, I'd test again first thing everyday in a few days. Fingers tightly crossed for you! x

gingerbreadmam · 26/01/2015 10:12

oooh mrs evans no experience but wow exciting. can you go buy a mega sensitive test and come back and share some happy news?

out of interest how far on are you from mc? jus so i can convince myself even more i may be able to get a bfp this month Smile

MrsEvansAlmost · 26/01/2015 10:21

I've got my head in a right muddle thought AF was due Monday last week but app says its Wednesday last week?! have had tender boobs and nipples. dp said yesterday I looked bloated round my hips which lead to me crying irrationally for the third time this weekend!
gingerbread im exactly 5 months after mc, had 2 months nearly of wtf and don't think I ovd at all stopped trying to DTD in line with supposed ovulation and the last 2 months we've just been going with the floor instead of having routine baby making naughtinessWink ! going go to tescos and pick up every one that can detect early pg!! much to say I've been having strong word with my womb to make sure we have a sticky bean in there!

gingerbreadmam · 26/01/2015 10:29

well certainly sounds like you have lots of symptoms.

you had two wtf cycles? oh dear bet that was hard. sounds like you could be there now though! ooh yes get to tesco right now and update us im excited.

i kp worrying as i didnt have a wtf cycle. i had emergency erpc 14 december and got my af almost spot on 28 days later. felt like i felt myself ovulate before that if makes sense and i definitely had cm last few days (now cd15) i kp thinking is it too good to be true my body just bounced back to normal?

i hope it has i like to think as i had such a crappy time with mmc my body is being kind to me now but probs jus wishful thinking.

theres not a lot of info out there about mc's and how the body responds depending on how it happens for you.

your body may have just bounced back to normal. after my first mc my body seemed to have a really short wtf cycle and then everything went back to normal straight away! imnnot sure if that was because I was younger and body was just able to bounce back! fingers crossed for you gingerbread

gingerbreadmam · 26/01/2015 10:50

sasha sounds like you are having it hard at the moment. you are right mother nature was just practicing and you will get a sticky one soon.

at least you have af now so can start thinking about ttc, hopefully that will take over your thoughts.

so sorry to hear you are having a hard time, hope you are ok Thanks
