Sorry it all got a bit "me me me" there didn't it.

stocking are your MH team reassuring you that your meds are ok to take? I'm sure that they are, it's hard not to worry isn't it. Then sometimes I think perfectly healthy people have babies that have complications or health issues and I think it's just the way it is sometimes... We could worry ourselves silly - like we already do lol.

I never realised it was possible to want something so desperately and yet be so scared at the same time!

pocopearl · 22/01/2015 08:53

Hi all, currently going through mc after long time ttc. Just wondering how long did you wait after mc to ttc again? I have had a good cry and now feel like I want to know when to go again... is it horrible of me to go straight away? Last time we left it a little, but I don't know whats best.

mollym14 · 22/01/2015 09:16

poco sorry for your loss. I don't think it's in any way horrible of you to try again as long as you feel ready. We've been trying in the first cycle since the mc, not sure if I have ovulated this cycle but I feel happy that we tried anyway.

KS78 · 22/01/2015 09:44

Hi. Spent many many hours on this website chatting since 2011. After three very complicated miscarriages and a long, stressful journey I am sitting watching my four and a half month son sleep. In the interests of paying-it-forward I have about 20 ovulation strips I would like to pass on-use by date is August I think. If you PM me your address I will pop them in the post to the first person who replies. Stay strong - and don't give up hope.

pocopearl · 22/01/2015 10:30

KS78 would love to say yes please but I still have like 300+ from ebay! lol. Enjoy squishy baby cuddles with your lo. xxx

chasingtherainbow · 22/01/2015 18:42

How is everyone today?

mrsdiddlydoo · 22/01/2015 19:34

poco if you feel ready or just feel a need to start TTC again, go for it. It's not wrong to want to get back to it. I think it's how many of us cope with the loss in a strange way. But if you want a break, that can help too. Is this your first mc? I'm sorry you find yourself here but the ladies are lovely here. Many of us are told to wait a cycle before TTC again but there's no reason other than to make it easier to date a pregnancy.

ks78 thank you for popping by with your positive outcome! It helps to hear good news stories Smile even if the journey there was a challenging one.

I am having a rubbish week. My 2nd in a row. Plagued by family being unwell with fluey colds, problems at work and a very unwanted AF. And being bombarded with TTC questions from a dsis who knows nothing about my MC's. I just want to protect her and don't want her to experience any of this shit. Find myself saying things about not getting carried away with her TTC plans, hopes, deadlines put upon herself, plans to change her job to help her when she needs mat leave. Basically I am trying to be a voice of caution and stay positive and say grounded things to her, but I am sure I'm just a voice of doom. Maybe I should change my name to mrsdiddlydoom. It's all feeling too hard today.

chasing you could do some practising TTC? I know it feels
Like an age but your next cycle will be here before you know it. Well that's what I'm trying to convince myself. Hmm

grace11 · 22/01/2015 20:29

Hi everyone, I've had two miscarriages - the last one was late and horrendous - and now, after 7 months, I'm thinking of ttc again. I've chickened out of the last two cycles and can sense the fear stopping me again! Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with anxiety around this? And what do people think about doing exercise when ttc with a mc history? I usually do yoga to keep calm but read mixed views on the safety pre 14 weeks. I was doing a lot of yoga the first time I miscarried too so not sure. I've also read that taking up a new form of exercise is not good... Thank you x

Gr33dyeggs · 22/01/2015 20:37

Hi grace & pocopearl. Sorry you find yourselves here Sad.

Today I have been very tired! Fell asleep last night in my sons bed for an hour then went to bed at 10, so had nearly 9 hours, then had a 2 hr post coital nap this morning. Hope I'm not getting ill.

grace no advice really. I'm seeing my dr next week about exercising - just started boogie bounce, which in retrospect might not be the best for ttc.

A few people say a 'sticky will stick regardless' but its hard not to blame ourselves one way or another.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 22/01/2015 21:06

Grace, I will continue exercising (daily cycling) but maybe show down to avoid over heating.
Yoga is fine, just avoid any ab work. Basically anything you've been doing before is fine to continue and I think that is the same even with a history of mc. The benefits of yoga will far outweigh any risks.

daisysunshine2 · 22/01/2015 21:34

Hello all you lovely ladies, just dropping in to catch up with all your stories and wish you all lots and lots of luck with your journeys Flowers

Just seen on tv that boots have got 3 for 2 on all their clearblue products - I know what an expensive time it is if you are using any of their stuff!

I'm now 11+3 and got my 12 week scan on Monday - absolutely terrified I'm going to go in and they'll say the baby has died at 'x' weeks :( but like we all are.. Trying to stay positive! Today I am pregnant and I'm really hoping the same will happen for all of you very soon, lots of love and Cake for you all xxx

grace11 · 22/01/2015 22:19

Gr33dyeggs, yes, I tend to agree that if it's going to stick it's going to stick. But then again you just don't know for sure... Made me laugh about the boogie bounce! I was thinking about starting adult ballet - just need something different to take my mind off stuff and I can't imagine anything will be jiggled around doing that.

Thanks GuybrushThreepwoodMP. Think I'll just tell the teacher and see what she thinks - she knows what's happened to me. It's funny though that yoga is often recommended as suitable by drs, but then there is a lot of jumping, bending and inverting - can see why some teachers say to avoid it until pregnancy is well established but what about when you don't know you are pregnant yet?? Lots of grey areas with ttc I find...

Good luck for Monday daisysunshine2 xx

StockingFullOfCoal · 22/01/2015 22:30

Need to vent.

Monday admin at GP spoke to Microbiology at local hospital to confirm they had my sample. They did confirm it.

Tuesday and Wednesday I call GPs, no results.

Call again today this morning. No results. Advised to ring in the afternoon. I do. Just to be told that MB Lab has "lost" my sample Angry for the second time two weeks in a row?! Really?! Really?! I refused to believe the hospital is at fault for this. Admin was rude and said MB Lab had no recollection of Mondays chat so they were obviously lying on Monday when they said they had it and were lying now saying they didn't remember Hmm What an absolute joke. As per usual none of the five admin staff would admit to anything and when I asked to escalate my complaint I was told they don't have a manager.... I demanded an appointment with GP tomorrow and am booked in for 10:15am. Will be explaining about incompetent admin staff and suggesting he checks to see if anyone elses samples have been lost in the last fortnight - even if it is just mine it needs investigation because someone isn't doing their job properly. Spent the evening close to tears and I'm exhausted.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 23/01/2015 05:56

How infuriating stocking. Not surprised you're angry! How is that even possible?!
Hi daisy! Good to hear from you. Hope your scan is wonderful. Let us know. How are you feeling generally?

Gr33dyeggs · 23/01/2015 07:36

stocking I hope you get sorted. I would have thought all GPs should have a complaint policy as part of good practice under CQC. You tell them! They all sound incompetent anyway.
Glad its weekend tomorrow. Finding work a real struggle atm.

StockingFullOfCoal · 23/01/2015 07:57

On a lighter note DH has fixed my laptop so I can catch up with the thread properly Grin

10DPO here and no pregnancy symptoms whatsoever.

Have no idea how its possible to lose two samples a fortnight in a row, bloody ridiculous. Had one of them tell me off insisting I'd already had results and antibs. Then she realised she was looking at 2013 lab results Hmm

ReverseTheTrend · 23/01/2015 08:22

really struggling this morning

Immediately before I mc some issues came up at work, my fault. Now I am back I am on probation with all my work supervised etc. I have 12weeks to improve or go onto formal disciplinary procedure.

It was difficult enough being back at work without this.

I should be able to sit here thinking fuck it I am off on Mat leave soon, but I can't because my baby is gone. Clearly thats not why I want my baby, but its really brought it back to me I dont have her

On top of all that still no af, and I have started notice I really smell, almost like i am leaking urine.

I just want to go and hide in a box until some future date where work is all sorted and I have a baby to hold

chasingtherainbow · 23/01/2015 09:31

stocking ridiculous! Don't you love it when admin minions try to insist you've done things you know you haven't! I'm pretty sure you'd known if you taken anti bs! I can't understand how they can lose two samples . . Can you change gp practice?

reverse re the leaking urine. I occasionally have to wear those panty liner things for a similar reason. I always assumed mine was my pelvic floor post dd. Maybe you can do some pelvic exercises and raise it with your gp?
Sounds like things are mega stressful at work which really is not what you need!

I lost another 1.5lbs at weigh in last night. I'm 8.5lbs away from getting my bmi to 35- if it's not 35 or under at booking in midwife app they won't let me use a birthing suite or midwife centre. So its what I'm focusing on to get me through this waiting cycle. Hopefully if I work mega hard I can get it off before next cycle. Possibly slightly too optimistic.

MrsEvansAlmost · 23/01/2015 16:16

hi ladies. sorry you find you all here. Thanks
To cut a long story short I've had 2 natural miscarriages both around the 8 week mark.

Dp has a little boy already and I'm finding it harder to be around him and feel consciously anxious so removed myself from the situation so both dp and DSS can envoy their time together.

we stopped a few months before Xmas as we had for nowhere and I was spending ridiculous money on every thing to help TTC.

AF is now a week late. don't want to pos yet as been under alit of stress so reckon AF is just in hiding but can't stop hoping for a bfp.. house long would you ladies give it before pos? obviously I'd AF shows up I won't need to..

thanks in advanced ladies

Gr33dyeggs · 23/01/2015 16:45

mrsevansalmost I've only waited 1 or 2 days past af due because my cycles were very regular. Well done for waiting, but perhaps its time?

MrsEvansAlmost · 23/01/2015 16:50

I can't decide if the sore boobs and tender pelvis is due to AF or bfo. obviously I don't want to waste money on a test if AF is going to show up! I'll give it till Monday as my cycles can vary. also I think I've given clear blue enough money over the past year!

any other brands you ladies recommend as cb is expensive does it mean it's the best. previous pregnancies I just blog standard tescos value test and that was accurate

chasingtherainbow · 23/01/2015 16:58

Get a first response test. I'd poas anytime now.. being a week late. I'm keeping fingers crossed for you!

gingerbreadmam · 23/01/2015 17:32

i used morrisons ones when i was 7-8 days late and got mega strong bfp!

i think i spotted ewcm today (is that what we refer to is as on mumsnet?) should i be dtd as often as poss now?

Gr33dyeggs · 23/01/2015 17:38

I've had bfp 1 day past af due date on tesco double pack. I think they are fine and prefer these to Asda (but thats probably due to poor association of ongoing bfp post mc).

Gr33dyeggs · 23/01/2015 17:40

gingerbread definitely now and even better if you managed to dtd over the previous few days.
