Still here, still struggling on, still hoping to get there in the end. Come on ladies, we'll all get our BFPs in 2015 (if not before)!

Yeah... you have to tell us the secret! Ttc month#5 since 2nd mc and not too hopeful. I've been reading articles that basically said if I'm over 35 I have no chance of getting pregnant or if by miracle I do get pregnant is now likely to lose it or have a sick baby. I'll be 37 in 3 days so according to all these articles " what's the point?"

Brindler · 06/07/2015 21:54

Thank you so much! I just can't believe it! Or stop shaking! I literally feel like af is going to be here any moment. I'm in utter shock.

It's been 27 months of trying. I've had every test available on the nhs, including a lap and dye which showed nothing wrong. We were told our best chance was self funded ivf. The only thing I did different this month was not take any supplements at all! Or do any opks as all I'd had recently were negatives! No ewcm or anything! Dh has been on wellman conception so maybe that helped as his morphology had come back low in his sperm test.

I just can't believe it!!! I really thought it was all over for us!

EmFlat · 06/07/2015 23:07

Congratulations Brindler!!! Awesome news :) I'm sooooo pleased for you!

And you too, Metal (I wasn't on here when you got your bfp) - must be such an awesome feeling when Mini-Metal kicks

BurningGubbins · 07/07/2015 06:31

Congratulations Brindler! When I posted my last message I wanted to add 'we need some good news around here' but didn't want to add to the pressure. That's fantastic news, I am so pleased for you. And as ever, it gives the rest of us a bit of hope!

Brindler · 07/07/2015 08:17

Thanks guys. Still in complete shock. Can't believe it has finally happened. Definitely don't give up burning, if it can happen to me after all this time it can def happen for you! Xxx

crispiecrunchie · 07/07/2015 08:35

Congratulations Brinder! Fabulous news! And metal 18 weeks already. I'm always checking back for good news on this and another thread.

I'm 42 and now at 27.2 weeks!! And having a very easy pregnancy. Had first at 40 andgot pregnant on the pill so 35 is young.

Xxx

LittlePoot · 07/07/2015 08:54

Brindler - so happy for you! Fantastic news. I didn't want to post and jinx things yesterday so really delighted to check in this morning and see such brilliant news. Congratulations lovely and hope you have a smooth run of things from here on. xxx

Lovely to hear from metal and crispie too and really glad all is going well!

I've just hit two years of trying so am getting kind of bored of it all. Raluca - don't believe everything you read!! 35 is way young and you've only been trying a short time (although I know for you it must feel like forever). You'll be fine and you can take out all the frustration on us in the meantime. Hello to everyone else! I am still around and reading, just not really got anything to add at the moment. Brindler's news is a welcome boost, but ttc had pretty much worn me down at the moment.

VillageFete · 07/07/2015 11:10

Brindler - HUGE congratulations!! So pleased for you! Keep us updated with how everything is. So you basically just dtd when you thought you were ovulating? You didn't do anything really different than you'd normally do?

I'm due to ovulate next week, so going to pick a clearblue digital ovulation kit up at weekend. DP's sperm count was normal according to the kit from Boots, so hopefully we have a shot this month. Month 11 Shock can't believe it's nearly been a year.

RalucaMorena · 07/07/2015 14:40

Hi all! Sorry for the rant.
It is probably related to reading all sorts of articles combined with my 2 losses and the impatience I feel lately (probably because I turn 37 in 2 days). I just want to be a mummy again. Ds was a tough pregnancy but I am still willing to go through all of it again. Last year we got pregnant pretty easy and I don't know if the 2 mc changed anything. I only noticed I have much less cm and ov day changed

Lollipop2015 · 08/07/2015 08:42

Congratulations Brindler, and Metal too! It really helps to hear positive stories on here and encourages me not to give up hope.

Raluca, don't believe what you've read. I have a friend who had IVF at 37 with her first as she couldn't get pregnant. When she was 39 they tried for #2 naturally not thinking it would happen, and it did, first time. Unfortunately she had a miscarriage, but then they tried again and she got pregnant first time again. She's now 14 weeks pregnant. I also have another friend who got pregnant first time with her first at 36 and pregnant first time with her second at 38.

I'm not doing OPKs this month, just dtd every other day and hoping we hit it.

Fingers crossed for bfps for us all!

Brindler · 08/07/2015 09:41

Thanks again everyone. Village the only thing I did differently this month was not take any supplements. Or use any opks. We actually only dtd 3 times on cd11,13and 15!

Although the supps didn't work for me I've got half a pot of soy, Agnus castus and inositol if anyone wants them?

Little the 2 year mark is really hard but don't give up. I'll keep lurking to see how you're all getting on. I'll miss you guys and don't know what I would have done without you! Xxx

LittlePoot · 08/07/2015 10:37

Isn't that funny brindler-the one month you put in less faff is the one that works. You must have just hit the perfect moment. Fingers crossed our time will come (and that we won't have to wait much longer!).

Lollipop2015 · 08/07/2015 13:27

Brindler, I noticed you said you had been taking Soy, although know you said you didn't take it this cycle. I've done some reading about it online and was thinking of trying it next month if I don't conceive this cycle. I saw you also said you'd taken Agnus Castus. I've been taking AC and Evening Primrose Oil, so didn't know if I should carry on taking them plus the Soy or just the Soy. Do you have any suggestions?

lovemyboy247 · 08/07/2015 16:07

Congratulations brindler that awesome news. Nice to hear from you other ladies too and glad pregnancies are going well. im 32 weeks and feeling large but all is well here too. lets hope bfps come in 3s. xxxx

VillageFete · 09/07/2015 21:52

It's lovely to see so much good news on the thread! Again, massive congratulations to all.

Ok, so something is going on now. Another of my very close friends announced her pregnancy today! Absolutely delighted for her, genuinely made up with the news, but a tiny part of me was like "oh God, why isn't this happening for me?!" That is person number 7 in my life who is pregnant. All of these people are close to me, either good friends or family members. Actually it's person number 6, as some of you may remember I posted a week or two ago about my Sister who decided not to go ahead with her pregnancy Sad

So this friend told me it was her second month of trying and she dtd on the day of ovulation and the day after and that was it. Who knew it was that easy Grin Anyway, I bought the clearblue digital ovulation test today and will start testing tomorrow. Wondering if this could be my month and i've simply been getting the timing wrong the last 10 months?

EmFlat · 09/07/2015 22:32

Fx'd that this is your month, Village xxx.

BurningGubbins · 10/07/2015 08:33

I know, Village. I counted 8 pregnant women on the way to work one day this week!

I'm 10dpo and have been feeling odd in the pelvic region since about 3dpo. Also going to the toilet a lot (likely because I'm drinking more because I'm on another healthy eating kick), and my temp has kept going up... Have been here before and it's come to nothing so trying to not think about it, not least because DH is away until next Friday so I can't test until then/next Saturday morning.

LittlePoot · 10/07/2015 10:26

Burning - you're having symptoms and yet not planning to test for a week?! Is this some kind of new super self - control I need to learn? I'd advise peeing on a stick pronto. I know it's easy to say you won't think about it but let's be realistic here. Just do the pee stick and then either we can have another celebration or you can knock the getting your hopes up on the head just that little bit sooner.... xx

BurningGubbins · 10/07/2015 13:42

If DH was here I would, but he's out of the country and not back until next Friday. We're in it together so I would never test without him. So it should be obvious one way or the other by Friday!

LittlePoot · 10/07/2015 14:04

Wow - you're good. I'd be testing via Skype first thing in the morning....

LittlePoot · 13/07/2015 07:42

13dpo burning? How are you doing? x

VillageFete · 13/07/2015 17:56

Hi ladies.

Started using the clearblue digital ovulation tests a few days ago, got my flashing face today which means high fertility, expecting my static face which means peak fertility in a few days. DP has been away on a stag do but is back tonight thank God! He is having sex whether he is hungover or not!

Really loving the clearblue test, feel more in control & sure. It's making me believe I have a really decent chance this month.

BurningGubbins · 13/07/2015 19:10

Still hanging in there thanks Little. Was busy at work which was good for keeping my mind off things. Symptoms have got a bit less obvious, so I'm genuinely not sure which way this will go, but if nothing else this will be the longest lp I've had all year.

Are you temping as well Village, or just planning to get down to it for a few days after you get your static face?

Looks like we're going to have to start a new thread soon!

VillageFete · 13/07/2015 19:39

No, not temping Burning, don't even know how! When would I take temp & what should it be?! Planning on DTD every day until the day after my static face now. Just hoping this is it, it's so bloody draining. I'm on month 11 of TTC and I really didn't think it would take anywhere near this long.

Fingers crossed for you Burning. Is it this Friday your DH is back?
