Still here, still struggling on, still hoping to get there in the end. Come on ladies, we'll all get our BFPs in 2015 (if not before)!

Great news Metal and Crispie! Can't believe you're both so far along!

Brindler · 01/06/2015 19:47

Ahh Metal so happy for you! Always makes me smile inside when I open this thread and read your first post!

I have another follow up at the fertility clinic this Thursday but after all the misdiagnosing from my consultant I'm not expecting anything other than more frustration!!

lovesmycake · 02/06/2015 09:04

Wow metal that seems to have come about quick how lovely. Great to hear you are doing well too crispie I'm 27 weeks at the moment and it's starting to feel very real. Shouldn't ginger be due around about now or certainly heading that way.

I read through the start of this thread the other week and was almost in tears at how things have changed. Fingers crossed for BFP's for everyone still waiting. x

Treesandbees · 02/06/2015 10:56

Hi everyone! I've been checking in periodically to see how you are all doing and I'm so delighted to see BFPs for Loves, Metal & Crispie. I'm 29+2 now and things are feeling very real too Loves! It's restored my faith a bit in Mother Nature that you guys have got there too. Fx for lots more BFPs for everyone else x

VillageFete · 02/06/2015 11:36

Aaah metal, how lovely! Huge congratulations. You've given me hope!

Well, that's friend number 4 who has just announced their pregnancy. 4 of my close friends are pregnant, first baby due in October, last baby due in February. Over the moon for them all (Even though 2 friends are devastated and their pregnancies weren't planned at all) but when my 4th friend announced hers I felt this strange feeling in the pit of my stomach, it was like i'd been punched? I think that means I really want to be pregnant and that i'm worried it's not going to happen. Anyway, i'm hoping there's something in the water and that i'll be next.

So, came off my period on Saturday, DTD Sunday and Monday, we are taking a break tonight and will crack on again tomorrow. It's horrible planning it, feels so scientific, but we had fun and it wasn't as regimented as our normal week of frantically trying to cram it in because i'm ovulating. I think this will work better for us, just DTD every 2-3 days throughout the month. I bought some KY jelly before Blush Grin

Fruitbatyogi · 03/06/2015 20:07

Ahhh bad evening, af started and five minutes later -literaly my little girl (3) asks me if I've got a baby in my tummy ( another girls mum at nursery does apparently) - gut wrenching as I so want to :(

BurningGubbins · 03/06/2015 20:20

Yes, we're on the 'every other day' regime now as well - we're not as young as we used to be, and it's made it more fun to not have that pressure.

Knackered today. Just started to well up reading the tributes to Charles Kennedy in the House of Commons...

BurningGubbins · 03/06/2015 20:21

Oh no Fruitbatyogi!

lovemyboy247 · 03/06/2015 22:29

Hi ladies I still pop on and read the thread every few days to see if theres amy more good news. The bfps seem to come in spurts and im sure your all due another spurt soon. god that sounds wrong. Anyway im 26 weeks now and feeling very fat and its another boy. Congrats to all the other ladies who had bfps too. its nice to see you all still pop in too. Good luck to all you ladies trying. xxxxx

BurningGubbins · 06/06/2015 08:42

Morning all, hope you're doing well and enjoying the sunshine?

Maca update - ovulated on CD16 as usual but had 3 days of positive opks before then, when I usually have 2. The energy and sleep benefits seemed to disappear quite quickly but that may be because my husband has a lot on at work and I'm picking up the slack.

VillageFete · 06/06/2015 11:11

Burning i'm so crap at this, what does CD 16 mean? I'm thinking of not bothering with the ovulation tests this month as we are DTD every 2-3 days throughout the month this time and i'm pretty sure of when i'm likely to ovulate so will just go to every day for a few days at that point.

BurningGubbins · 06/06/2015 15:51

Cycle Day 16. You're not crap, I have just turned into one of those crazy women I swore I would never become...

Fruitbatyogi · 08/06/2015 15:53

Hi Ladies, got my cool back-ish, and getting ready for another month.

Feel like I am turning in to the slight mad woman, this month soy 150 days 3-7, myo-inositol and fish oils are the chosen cocktail.
Ho humm

Good to hear about all the bfp's - anyone else still out there trying?

Metalhead · 08/06/2015 18:30

Hi ladies, I hope you're all doing ok?

Glad to hear everything's going well with your pregnancies crispie, loves, trees and anyone else I've missed.

After feeling so positive after our scan, unfortunately we got a high risk result for Down's from my blood test (1:85) so we're still in limbo. My hcg level was off the chart, which is really worrying me. I'm having the Harmony test done privately tomorrow and then face another 2ww for the results, which is supposed to be more than 99% accurate for detecting Down's. Still don't know know what we'll do if that comes back positive... at the moment I'm trying not to think about it, without much success! Sad

Tannins34 · 08/06/2015 20:48

Oh metal! What a nightmare! I know easier said than done but try not to worry until you have the results in your hands. Not trying to down play it to you as I can't imagine how you must be feeling but I know a lot of people who've come back as high risk and then have gone on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies/babies. Please keep us updated and hope all goes well xxx

BurningGubbins · 08/06/2015 21:59

Yes, Fruitbat, still plodding on. I'm in 2ww now. For some reason around ovulation I was convinced this was the month, couldn't get the idea out of my head. Feeling a bit more pragmatic now, should know not to get my hopes up by now!

BurningGubbins · 08/06/2015 22:02

Oh Metal, you must be beside yourself. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

LittlePoot · 09/06/2015 17:38

Oh metal - I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. Sadly I know exactly how you feel although as our risk for pregnancy number 1 was 1/4 we went straight for cvs, so at least the results only took a couple of days. I know it's hard, but try and stay positive. 1/85 still means there are 84/85 chances everything will be just fine. Which is a lot of good chances! And you'll never know how you'll feel if you did turn out to be the 1. You can't possibly make that decision until you're really faced with it so please try not to tie yourself up in knots thinking about it before the results come back. Easier said than done I know. I'll be keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you. And I'm right here if you want to talk more -happy to pm or talk on here if it helps at all.

Hi to everyone else. No news here. And dh is away this week right when I'm due to ov, thanks to stupid early cycle last month, so this won't be my month either. I'm taking advantage by throwing myself into work and dieting. Joy!

Metalhead · 10/06/2015 17:00

Thanks ladies, and sorry to hear you had to go through similar with your first pregnancy little. I am trying to stay positive and think of it as a 98.8% chance that baby is fine, but it doesn't always work. I really wish they'd find a way to phrase things differently when they give you the results, as soon as you hear the words "high risk" all you can do is panic, even though in any other situation you'd consider a 1.2% risk to be pretty small.

BurningGubbins · 10/06/2015 19:44

That's a really good way of thinking of things Metal.

lovemyboy247 · 10/06/2015 20:56

Oh metal im sorry you are having to go through the testing. My fingers are crossed for you stay possative will be thinkin of you. xxx

Brindler · 12/06/2015 18:26

Hi ladies, I'm just back from hols and catching up on the thread. Metal I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this after everything you've already been through to get here. I truly hope you get the result you want - please let us know. I'll be thinking of you. Still no escape from the 2ww hey just in a different form!

Nothing to report here either - af arrived the first day of my hol in truly typical style. Had no supplements with me so going for a natural cycle for a change! Had appt with consultant before hols who completely fobbed us off and tried to bamboozle us with medical talk but it basically boils down to keep trying or have ivf. Financial situation dictates we keep trying so I'll be here a while longer yet!

Hope everyone else is ok too x

LittlePoot · 13/06/2015 07:05

Hi brindler. welcome back and hope you had a lovely holiday. I think everyone has been on holiday this week - traffic has been freakishly quiet in rush hour! Sorry to hear your hospital appointment has been a bit of a dead end though. Was any of the bamboozling science useful or was it just a fancy way of saying we have no idea what's wrong and aren't going to investigate it further? Mine didn't even bother dressing it up, she just bluntly told me it was probably just my age. Ah well - we'll keep trying and hopefully get there in the end.

Metal - how are you doing? Hope you're OK. x

GingerbreadHead · 13/06/2015 16:16

Hi everyone, haven't posted on here in quite a while, so some of you won't know me, I got my BFP back in november after ttc for almost 18 months. I think it was soy, and possibly dtd three days in a row, that finally did it for me! I am now 35+2, feels like an absolute lifetime ago that I was fretting over what concoction of vitamins to try next, and some days I still can't believe I'll be meeting my baby in a few weeks. Just wanted to inject a bit of hope into the thread, it will happen for you, probably when you feel you have reached your absolute limit and given up.
Hello to all the oldies too, loves and trees and lovemy hope you are doing ok! Metal so sorry to hear about your downs result Sad hope you get your results back quickly, and fingers crossed there is nothing to worry about. Doesn't seem fair after all you have been through.
It's great to see that this thread is still going, I honestly don't know what I would have done without it all those long months!

BurningGubbins · 14/06/2015 20:49

Hi all, how's it going?

Did you have a nice holiday Brindler?

No news here, though I have been feeling generally odd these last few days. Back hurting, chest pains (related to back rather than heart attack - I hope), loss of appetite... My son has had a slight temperature and dodgy stomach so I'm guessing he has shared it.
