Sorry determined :(. I feel like you similar...just have to keep plodding...is this ur third now?

When u go to ur nhs appt take ur blood results from shehata. Chances are he will have done it all plus more tests. But what they will offer you is regular scans (most miscarriage units do) in your next pregnancy which can be helpful. Mine offer them every fortnight....also I don't think shehata checks ur partners genetics but your clinic may (mine did)
Plently of people with pcos succeed, it's just your journey, like all of ours on here might be longer
X

Hi all,

Determind hope you are doing as well as you can Sad
Trying you too I don't think it does ever get any easier with the special dates embedded. Know that feeling we as we end another 'pants' year .
No news from me stopped the pred Wednesday and had BFN after BFN and I had forgotten how shite that feels after not TTC for past 4 months. Unsure if it feels worse since making every effort to remember all the drugs etc?
AF due Friday so still in the game yet?! I am using internet cheapest 10 mui as were £7 for 20 and thought as I needed a few this was way forward?

Also I have sore boobs and af niggles already and I know Mr s said no symptoms of pregnant so feeling SadHmmAngry all at once .
I am a bundle of fun to be around right now!

Also mil has seen tarot lady who said you daughter in law gets pregnant but don't expect it straight away! I wanted to scream are you having a laugh 43 months is not straight away! rAGE is this normal on these drugs? X

Determined123 · 08/12/2014 22:03

Thanks trying and yes it was number 3! I am sure I have had most tests they do (apart from genetics) so if I can get that then great. So funny I was thinking the exact same thing on my way home...we will all get there in the end, just not quite when we had expected or planned!

Thanks Dildoos...I believe you are never out until you are out for sure! Am keeping my fingers crossed for you! And yes...on and off a plethora of drugs can make you a little crazy at times...I am hoping the tarot lady has a retrospective view and backdates what she says :) xx

dildoos · 08/12/2014 22:15

Thanks determined.

Our gynaecologist on Nhs done chromosome testing as standard. Hope it's the same for you as is a very expensive test so saved us £600 privately. Good luck for your testing. I also had some scans on Nhs also. Then all the standard, thyroid, thrombophilia, sti's, std's and 21 day bloods so a fair amount on Nhs. Hope you get some answers soon x

Determined123 · 08/12/2014 23:16

Thank you so much trying, dildoos. Fingers crossed I can have those as standard as we have spent a small fortune this year. (I know it's worth it but it's still so much). Be good to get some more boxes ticked to know what we are dealing with. Appointment came through today and is first week of jan which I was v.impressed with thought it would take months.

Hope you both feel better tomorrow xxx

Tryingno1 · 09/12/2014 15:52

That is efficient of them determined. I'm sure shehata has done all your other tests but the odd one and the scans they will offer will
Hopefully mean u have everything sorted for next time!

Freelance must be going in for her CS soon?

Hope-I really hope things going well.

I'm ok today. A bit fed up. Bored of my life I think and ready for a baby! Bored of the routine of work and going home, work going home. Hopefully a pregnancy with loads of sickness will help stir things up!

Sunny lets hope there is good news from both of us. When r u testing?

Rosa27 · 09/12/2014 19:09

Sorry to hear news Determined - hope you're ok and keeping busy.
Hope everyone else ok.
That's another month I'm out so tracking or no tracking, drugs or no drugs I'm having no luck :(
Focusing on Christmas drinks.. But we all know we'd scarifier those for happy news... As everyone says, hope 2015 is a better year where we all have happy news x

Tryingno1 · 09/12/2014 19:20

Sorry rosa. Is af here :(

Are u going to try superovulation? Has it been 6 months of ttc? How long does it usually take u? I think they say after the age of 38 and also 6 Months of trying to look into tx etc. but u have got preg before and it will happen again.

How sad am I - I worked out I can drink over Xmas and new year...so looking fwd to xmas drinks That's the only sliver lining I have (I don't drink day 15-to af which is based on no logic and only my
Madness) . I'm not testing for a week but not feeling v hopefull!

Tryingno1 · 09/12/2014 19:21

Sorry after the age of 35!
I knew u were 38 so was thinking that and wrote it

dildoos · 09/12/2014 20:16

Rosa , sorry for your news. I have everything crossed for is all having drunken binge sex and falling all at same time! Roll on the new awesome 2015 we are all going to have x

sunnyday01 · 09/12/2014 20:21

Hi everyone

Totally understand how you are all feeling, it gets so annoying sometimes, but we have to try and stay positive - easier said then done though!

I have had a super busy time at work and got a lot on over the next couple of weeks after work with Xmas parties etc, I'm lucky as I'm not really a big drinker so sticking yo soft drinks us easy for me!!

I'm testing on Monday trying.

Smile
Mine is disappearing I need it back! Hopefully my acupuncutre tmrw will find it!

dildoos · 09/12/2014 20:38

Trying is acupuncture relaxing? X

honeysucklejasmine · 09/12/2014 20:48

Hello ladies. I hope you don't mind me asking a question. I did a search and all the results related to my search seemed to be from your threads.

I have lupus, hypothyroidism and endometriosis. I'm so lucky I had laproscopic laser treatment for endometriosis in May, and began TTC in Aug. I have a miscarriage in Sept and when I went to the very unhelpful hospital, I was told my hcg level was only 5mg/ml, "were you even pregnant?" and "you have huge levels of dsDNA in your blood results BTW".

So, obviously I know I have lupus. I have not conceived again, but I keep getting mini flares about 6dpo each month which fade away after a few days. I am worried... What if the first one made it to 20dpo before being killed, but now my immune system knows what it is looking for and is on the hunt?

I was due to see my consultant at the beginning of Jan but just had a cancellation letter through so not sure when I will get to see him. And I don't know what he'll say... What if its just " its only been a few months, keep trying"

FYI, my consultant has never said I should have trouble TTC and has told me repeatedly that I can get preg whilst on my medication (hydroxychloroquine).

Does anyone know anything or have an experience which might help me? Please help me stop freaking out every time my system flares.

dildoos · 09/12/2014 20:55

Hi honey, I don't really know very much but didn't want to read and run , so just sending my best wishes until someone with more knowledge can help you here x

honeysucklejasmine · 09/12/2014 20:57

Thank you, that's very kind. Smile

Just to add... When horrible on call gynae said "dsDNA" I assume he means anti dsDNA antibodies.

Tryingno1 · 09/12/2014 21:25

Hi honey.
Sorry to hear about ur miscarriage. I don't know loads about lupus in pregnanc...this is what I know!
Patients with lupus can have menstural flares. Its common. When u see the consultant def discuss the risk of miscarriage and lupus. Some have antiphospholipid antibodies associated which can cause miscarriages. But loads of women with both lupus and antiphospholipid antifoy have babies and no problems concieving at all!
This board is mainly for those on prednisolone after recurrent miscarriage. We have high NK cells which are associated with autoimmune conditions in some. I have raised nk but no autoimmune condition.
I have a feeling the doc might say its only been a few months go away ;( which is not at all helpful.
It's hard not to panic....have u tried searching for lupus and ttc?
Sorry not more helpful

Dildoos-yeah I really like the sessions! My lady is lovely and supportive and gets me so I enjoy my chats with her as much. Not gotten preg any quicker though but feeling better in my mind this time around compared to after miscarriage 2

dildoos · 09/12/2014 21:25

Are they same as NK cells? Xx

sunnyday01 · 09/12/2014 21:28

Like trying, I don't know much about lupus, but I think lupus is a auto immune condition so you may have high nk cells which may be affecting you. It's def worth telling your consultant.

OP posts:
dildoos · 09/12/2014 21:28

Think I may try acupuncture, just mainly as need to try distract my mind, do you find it helps for this? X

Tryingno1 · 09/12/2014 21:38

I'm not sure it distracts my mind
But it makes me stronger and more
Postive. My thoughts of " i Will never be a mum" after miscarriage 2 Has become "I'll be a mum but its going to take forever and god knows how many miscarriages"

So I don't know if that's the acupuncture or a shift in my mind bit it's gone from very negative to only a bit negative! Wouldn't say I'm positive everyday but more than 50percent. And I think the acu has helped that (along with cutting down my house at work/staying away from my crazy SIL) !!

Tryingno1 · 09/12/2014 21:39

Hours at work not house at work.
Ie I've gone part time.

honeysucklejasmine · 09/12/2014 22:01

Thanks for the information ladies.

Determined123 · 09/12/2014 22:35

Thanks rosa and sorry to hear you are out :( focussing on Xmas drinks (and no pred and prog) is a tiny plus I guess. (That's what's keeping me going anyway). I'm keeping upbeat that 2015 is the year! Like sunny says we need to try and be positive and we have a the experts behind us and supporting us on the way! (When I feel rubbish I read success stories and it massively changes my mood!)

How funny I have acu booked tomorrow too! I find it helps keep things normal/balanced!

Honeysuckle so sorry to hear of your experience. I don't know much about lupus (but I imagine most of us under Dr S have been tested for it as part of the immune checks) I have v.high thyroid antibodies which is auto immune and generally all of these issues hang around together. The drug you mentioned (hydro ???) I am sure I have seen that on this forum before for ttc and immune issues so deffo worth asking your consultant more q's.

Dildoos I find acu helps me feel like I am in control even though in reality I am probably not. I also find reflexology brilliant too! Both the ladies specialise in fertility/pregnancy and have helped me immensely through everything!! Highly recommend it!! Xx

dildoos · 10/12/2014 07:01

Thank you determine and trying.
I think even a positive reversal of thought would be beneficial at the moment.
Did you both just google infertility ones or can they all practice this?
