Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Option decorations include photographs of political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedinging!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

The rather nobbish article in which we became a little bit notorious is here. We are the dark side of MN. Welcome.

Happy shagging, shaggers!

Well that's good news tink! Treat yourself to a shagathon! Grin

Well whatever spotting was earlier has now stopped so no idea what caused it!

I've been thinking about contraband. Was debating using. Now decided I am going to do as the title says - JS!

I am going to try and not read into my body too much and hope for the best!

LemonDrizzleTwunt · 18/11/2014 19:19

Good news! I have devised a way to stop my TWOT. Sushi. Am off to Yo now for fucking plateloads of the stuff, washed down with plenty of alcohol Grin I figure that I am invoking LOS if I'm upduffed this will be my last chance to eat raw fish for a while.

DulcetMoans · 18/11/2014 19:23

Yay tink! I don't either, never understood why we have to do that one but good to know.

jelly - how?! This makes no sense to me. Have a piss - jeez! Do you need one? Do you do massive ones when you go?

wilmabedrock · 18/11/2014 19:52

Bat is it their first child? You'll get your friends back eventually. I think I was lost in the baby fog until I stopped bf at a year. Then normality slowly resumed. I think with the first it does take over your life a bit but you find your way out eventually.

Indigoblue2 · 18/11/2014 20:20

lemon go fill your face. Said by a fellow sushi fanatic Smile

bat I second the others that when your own comes along it won't be so irritating. Other peoples kids aren't the same. Not that I know, but I've just heard enough folk saying it!

Indigoblue2 · 18/11/2014 20:22

la really chuffed for you. That's awesome news Smile Are you feeling a bit more settled now? Must be such a relief to have that appointment over with.

Indigoblue2 · 18/11/2014 20:31

Fellow viroids can you give me a round of applause for drinking lots of water? Wine I've been soo good the last few days, and I feel much better. The reflexology lady said it's good for my endometrium (smug face).

honeysucklejasmine · 18/11/2014 20:41

Aww, sushi! Take me along Lemon?

Jelly my cats have Pets at Home complete dry food, and a quarter tin of tuna each every few days. Plenty of water. Still smelly. Sad They don't eat wet food, just lick off the bloody jelly and let it go stale! Buggers. Angry

Yay Tink! Always good news!

Bat don't worry. Other people's kids are annoying. They become less annoying the closer they are to you in relation. My neice is a sweetheart. My friends toddler is the devil. Also, I judge some of my friends parenting methods way up on my lofty pedestal so dislike their child as a product of it. I am A BITCH. Wink

Can I ask a potentially controversial question? I'm not brave enough to start a new thread. Please don't answer unless you want to. OK, here goes. Has your TTC journey changed your opinion on abortion? Maybe completely, maybe a little? Honestly, I fully support women's rights to choose, always have. But recently I worry about the feotal age limit you can do it up to. That scares me. My midwife friend says its mainly so high for teenagers in denial and people who find out about genetic conditions at the 20 week scan. I hope I never ever have to make a decision about it. Sad

TinkerBlue · 18/11/2014 20:49

I know a few people that have had abortions. All of them were alcohol induced "mistakes" and in my darkest hours I lament the unfairness of it (and hate them) Angry.
Evidently i'm not the right person to ask, brings up too many emotions to be objective! And I certainly can't bear the idea of late terminations, but like I say - my take on this is completely skewed after all these years of ttc.

jellypi3 · 18/11/2014 20:58

I've never known anyone who had an abortion, but whilst I have always been pro-choice I do think the upper age limit is shocking. I studied Abortion law when I was at uni, it's sickening some of the cases we had to read about. 23 weeks is just horrific to abort at in my opinion.

I could never do it myself. Even if I wasn't TTC, I couldn't bring myself to do it...

Oh and I don't do overly large pisses Dulcet ;)

honeysucklejasmine · 18/11/2014 20:58

Yeah, Tink. I first became uneasy on it as I found out about my eldest neice when my sister had a 7 week scan. And now she's 4, and I've considered her a human the whole time. But TTC myself has made me struggle with it even more. I get that sometimes it is necessary. As long as it is not a decision that was taken lightly , I seem to be OK with it. Mostly. I think. Sad

wilmabedrock · 18/11/2014 21:05

Ooh Honey, this discussion could go either way. I don't think my stance has changed however I thankfully have got pregnant reasonably quickly and so haven't had the same 'journey' as others. My thoughts are that I wouldn't have a termination myself (unless the baby really wasn't going to survive due to medical problems) but that everyone's decision is their own and people are quite within their rights to feel differently to me. I have friends who have had abortions and it doesn't stop me being friends with them. I also think maybe you can't say unless you're in the situation as reality is very different from the hypothetical. I have no issue with the morning after pill whatsoever if that's relevant.

honeysucklejasmine · 18/11/2014 21:08

Well said Wil. Yeah, I don't want to upset anyone and so far were all OK with it and a women's right to choose which is great. But its been weighing on my mind today.

In other news, my cat farted again. And drank from my water glass the cowbag. Now she's sitting next to me purring and looking adorable, the evil monster.

Indigoblue2 · 18/11/2014 21:09

honey there are circumstances in which I could see myself having a termination if I had to. I do think it's hard to stomach the thought of someone having one at 23 weeks though. I have always been really for the right for the woman to choose.

honeysucklejasmine · 18/11/2014 21:15

I present the face of evil.

Thanks Jelly and Indigo Smile Just want to say again... I'm not asking if you think its right or wrong, just if ttc changed your view. As i said, for me its the late term ones i struggle with now.

LemonDrizzleTwunt · 18/11/2014 21:25

Well, unsurprisingly the sushi was fucking delicious.

Really interesting question honey, with some very insightful and well-reasoned responses. I personally don't feel able to answer as this is cycle 1 TTC, so my view hasn't currently changed, but that's not to say that it won't as the journey continues. I'm reserving judgement at the moment.

Oh, and here is my 'face of evil'.

Indigoblue2 · 18/11/2014 21:26

Sorry, I should have read the question properly! honey stop going all teacher on my ass. I guess just now not really, but I'm thinking if WHEN I get upduffed, this may change a bit, especially when my bean gets to the 20 week mark.

Indigoblue2 · 18/11/2014 21:26

Umm did someone say you can't eat raw fish when preggo? If so I'm reconsidering my TTC options...

Leela5 · 18/11/2014 21:30

Dh built a cat fort!

la that's awesome!!

Very cute evil you have there lemon and honey

honeysucklejasmine · 18/11/2014 21:46

Oh Indigo! I didn't mean... I wasn't talking to you specifically.... Argh! Sorry! Should have started a new paragraph!

Lemon is your evil wrapped in a blanket?!

La I want a cat fort too! Does your DH take commissions?

LemonDrizzleTwunt · 18/11/2014 21:46

Indigo sadly you can't eat lots of big fish, eg tuna, as they contain elevated levels of mercury. Salmon can also contain PCBs, but both of these apply to raw and cooked fish. Oily fish also needs to be restricted.

Sushi has to be frozen first in order to kill any parasites. Personally, once I'm last 12 weeks the NHS guidelines can go swivel.

DulcetMoans · 18/11/2014 21:47

Haha. That is fab la. Mine would be all over that!

This is what evil looks like when it sleeps. She's a killer...

LemonDrizzleTwunt · 18/11/2014 21:47

Honey yes I was swaddling her with the duvet and she liked it

honeysucklejasmine · 18/11/2014 21:48

Indigo the fish thing has some sort of proviso about being previously frozen or something... Think it has to have been...
