The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

OMG! I got a BFP this morning! I only managed a little dribble though and it was squirting off all over the place and some of the wee went on the plastic part of the stick behind the test window. Would that make the result invalid? Sorry for the TMI!

MrsConfusion · 28/10/2014 06:23

Wow bear. wow!!! Very much doubt extra wee splatter would give false positives but test again tomorrow to reassure yourself. So so pleased for you my lovely x

Cariad2014 · 28/10/2014 06:37

That's awesome news Thesmallbear. As MrsC says, I very much doubt extra splatter would lead to a false positive, but you should definitely test again just to be certain. Keeping everything crossed for you.

chasingtherainbow · 28/10/2014 07:02

The small bear- huge huge congratulations!

Definitely pee in a cup and dip from now on... Then you can use different brands of test on the same fmu to reassure yourself. poas addict here

thesmallbear · 28/10/2014 07:07

Thanks all. Will do an IC at lunch time. So excited, but also shitting myself a bit in case I MC again!

thesmallbear · 28/10/2014 07:10

Massive congratulations Bear, so so happy for you. It's not surprising that you are nervous but enjoy it for now. You are pregnant!

Treaclepie19 · 28/10/2014 07:45

That is a corker of a line!! Wooo.

Monten · 28/10/2014 08:26

That's an amazing line! Congrats smallbear!

Flashing smiley this morning - 3days earlier than last month. Jumped on dp last night so good start.

Does anyone else eject the stick and then analyse the lines, even tho they say you shouldn't? I'm sure the oestrogen line is not as strong as it should be do not sure if I believe it!

NewEraNewMindset · 28/10/2014 08:31

Aaaaah congratulations bear Grin

Monten - before OV your Oestrogen line should be getting lighter. When it's dark Oestrogen is at a lower concentration, when you are close to OV you produce more Oestrogen so the line gets lighter xx

Treaclepie19 · 28/10/2014 08:54

I do monten, when I ovulate they are the same colour.
No idea why they sat not to look at the lines.

I have lost the plot finally. Been looking at ideas for how to paint the nursery (for the baby we don't have). I did suggest to DH that we could dress up our rabbit and put him in a cot :p

Monten · 28/10/2014 08:59

Oh ha ha! Thanks newera I guess that is why they tell you not to look at the - bcos nutters like me have no idea what I'm doing.

treacle I am do broody right now it's not even funny. I saw my nephew at the weekend and he is just so squidgy. I want one. I want mine.

chasingtherainbow · 28/10/2014 09:08

Treacle your not alone. I keep thinking about what buggy I'd buy.. have designed the spare bedroom in my head and have shortlisted names. And Googled the bmi requirements for the birth centre. Hmm I too am a bit baby bonkers.

Monton, I've never ever had a positive OPK. The monitor only ever gave me 2nd bars. The cheapies never showed a 2nd line and my cbfm is always a blank face. So I always look at the lines. - I don't know why I don't get a positive. . I clearly ov since I got pregnant to mc, so I'm always line squinting. It's bloody annoying.

chasingtherainbow · 28/10/2014 09:09

Monten, sorry.

Treaclepie19 · 28/10/2014 09:16

Hehe, oh ladies. We will have our babies.
And we will appreciate them all the more. Unlike some people I know!

Hello ladies

Thought I would check in as I have a few moments spare.

Hope everyone is ticking along OK? Have we had anymore BFP's?

Update on me: I am well and truly in WTF, limbo, post MC cycle hell!
I am on CD42 if you go by my first ERPC or CD35 if you go by my second ERPC. I have been using OPK's on and off throughout the cycle and have had two positive peaks, one 11 days after my first ERPC (4 days after the second), and one on 14th and 15th October. This is 28 days after my first ERPC and 21 days after the second. So I think I am 13DPO.
Since the second peak on my OPK's I have had the following symptoms:
1DPO: Strong cramps, Diarrhea, Bloating, Gas, Aching shoulders and arms, Really hungry and anxious
2DPO: Moderate cramps, Diarrhea, Hunger and fatigue
3DPO: Moderate cramps, Aching shoulders and arms, Bloating and irritability
4DPO: Diarrhea and Aching shoulders and arms
5DPO: Diarrhea
6DPO: Diarrhea, Vivid dreams
7DPO: Strong cramps, Gas, Aching shoulders and arms, Vivid Dreams, CM and Diarrhea
8DPO: Strong cramps and Vivid dreams
9DPO: Diarrhea, Vivid dreams
10 and 11DPO - lost the will!
12DPO: Insomnia, Vivid dreams when I do sleep and constipation
13DPO: Insomnia, Vivid dreams when I do sleep, constipation and night sweats

I have tested on HPT on OD (very very feint BFP), 1DPO (BFN), 2DPO (BFN), 3DPO (very very feint BFP), 4DPO (BFP), 5DPO (BFP), 7DPO (BFP) and 10DPO (BFP)

Think I am losing my mind!!

Nic89 · 28/10/2014 11:24

That's great news! X

Nic89 · 28/10/2014 11:34

Bluefreckles BFP are very rarely wrong ! Have you used the same tests or have they been different ?

Nic89 · 28/10/2014 11:38

Another negative, just got my period 3 days late, don't know what's going on with my body since mc 4 months ago ! Confused

charlieis30 · 28/10/2014 15:00

Hi bluefreckles sounds like you're having a really tough time.

I'd be interested to know if the BFNs and BFPs were on the same brand of test/FMU as that could account for different results.

Regarding two Ovs, I had two AFs within a couple of weeks of each other in my WTF+1 cycle. My GP told me it's not unusual to ovulate twice after an ERPC as the body is so confused. I would definitely track your current cycle from the 2nd EPRC (as I did from my weird halfway-through-cycle AF. the next AF showed up bang on time 30 days after that one for me.)

Have you had any other BFNs other than the two sandwiched between the BFPs? There's a chance that you're pregnant again, but (I'm sorry for the tough love) there's a chance you still haven't totally got rid of the hormones from your MC. I think it all goes extra haywire after ERPC (at least it did in my experience). My surgeon told me to wait 2 weeks before testing after the ERPC, so that I'd be sure that it was a "real" BFN.

If I were you I'd go to the doctor and ask for HCG blood tests over a 48h time period. It's going to be the only way you'll know for sure at the moment.

Hugs xx

charlieis30 · 28/10/2014 15:03

nic i'm sorry about AF arriving, it really really sucks. Especially when she's late and you convince yourself that you're preg. I've basically been a sobby mess since mine arrived a week ago. If it helps, my cycles have lengthened from 27-28 days to 29-31 days after MC1. They're also much heavier since MC2. Neither of those things is abnormal according to my GP. Fun for me (not).

sarahlou20 · 28/10/2014 15:38

smallbear - Wow, huge congratulations to you!! That's an excellent, clear second line there. Did you do another test at lunchtime?

Nic89 - Sorry that AF got you Sad. It's such a blow when she turns up. I was on holiday when mine came so I promptly enjoyed a few cocktails that evening as I'd been avoiding them before that. How many cycles have you had since your mc?

Hmm, I sneakily ordered a couple of Clearblue HPTs from Amazon yesterday and have just hidden them in my bedside table. OH will give me such a bollocking if he finds out as we're supposed to be saving every penny while we're buying a house. Oops! Couldn't help it though, in fact I almost ordered them by accident Hmm. It's just that I need a little supply of 'good quality' tests as i don't trust these ICs. Is anyone else the same?

sarahlou20 · 28/10/2014 15:48

charlie - Oh I'm sorry that you've had to go through two ERPCs. I had one in July and, while I had my first AF exactly 6 weeks afterwards, my second cycle lasted for about 2 months. I don't think I ovulated but am not really sure. Our hormone levels really are messed up after an ERPC and I wonder whether any studies have been done to see if it takes longer for cycles to get back to normal than for women who have natural MCs.

I'd echo what charlie suggests and go to see your GP as they should be able to do some tests. It's the waiting and not knowing that's the hardest. Hugs from me too xx

sarahlou20 · 28/10/2014 15:48

Sorry!! That last message should be to bluefreckles xxx
