The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Huge congratulations English, SarahLou and Dulcet. Here's to three happy, healthy pregnancies and a very dull nine months ahead. I look forward to hearing all about English's soy twins in due course!

Brummie - I definiteky think you made the right call on the Sunday lunch. I live in perpetual fear of face to face baby bombs and right now can't imagine anything worse.

Chasing - sorry you're having such a difficult time. I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Big hugs Flowers

ignominious · 31/10/2014 05:36

Does anyone think these are lines? Threw the wee away now so can't do another.

Got baby bombed on my birthday so would like something good to happen.

Congratulations to English, sarahlou and dulcet.

DH and I think we can see a faint one. Can you get an frer?
I have just got this? Are frers reliable? Never used one before.

chasingtherainbow · 31/10/2014 06:17

Igno. . I can see it and it looks pink! Give it a few more days (congratulations!)

chasingtherainbow · 31/10/2014 06:20

Brummie I think you've done the right thing. You don't have to sit through that xxx

I've been up all night (tmi) running to the loo. I'm clock watching and can't sleep. The nausea is kicking in now too. I'm trying so hard to stay calm but it's not working :(

Allthefours · 31/10/2014 06:24

Been away from the thread a while, couldnt sleep so had a catch up.

Massive congratulations to english sarahlou and dulcet. Wishing you safe and healthy pregnancies.

ignominious I can see lines are your tests so I think congrats are also in order!!

purple more than a feint line!! FRER are generally very reliable - congratulations!!!

brummie sorry you are going through a tough time right now. You have to do what's right for you and I think you have done the right thing by cancelling the lunch this weekend. Thanks for you.

chasing I hope you get some answers from your scan today.

As for me, I'm now on CD8 of my second cycle following my second MC. The WTF cycle was 58 days long. I have taken soy this cycle so I'm desperately hoping that it either gives me a BFP or at least can do something to shorten my stupidly long cycles. My first due date is 8th Jan, for my own sanity I need to be pregnant again by then with a sticky one!

Thepurplegiraffe · 31/10/2014 06:39

Thinking of you today Chasing.

Allthefours it sounds like you have had a really tough time. Really hope you get that sticky one by Xmas.

ignominious · 31/10/2014 06:44

Congratulations purple that's definitely a line! I've never used one either but for that price I'm sure they're reliable :)

AF not due till tomorrow and no point getting a frer now I've thrown the wee away. Why did I do that!

Cariad2014 · 31/10/2014 06:54

Congrats Purple and Ignomious. Some very impressive looking lines there! Here's to two happy, healthy pregnancies. So lovely to see a flurry of good news on this thread.

Chasing - sorry you had such a rough night. Thinking of you. Enormous hugs Flowers

Thepurplegiraffe · 31/10/2014 06:55

Apparently frers can be used at any time of day, though I guess fmu will always be best. Last time I got a bfp it wasn't until a few days after af was due, that's why I got the frer this time.
Thanks for the congrats!

DulcetMoans · 31/10/2014 07:10

I can see the photos on the app but will take everyone else's word for it and offer congrats to you both.

I think you did the right thing too brummie and a good friend will understand. You can deal with it in your own way, it doesn't mean you aren't happy for her!

Hope the soy works for you fours, have read positive things. Personally I found that my cycles never went back to the same as they were before MC. In some ways they were better - more regular with earlier ov but they started to include days of spotting and were longer. Just don't want you to think it should all be fixed by cycle 2 post miscarriage, it might just be all change!

Treaclepie19 · 31/10/2014 07:14

Oh my gosh, congrats purple and ignominious!!! :)

Wow, the bfp's are coming in quickly now.

Cd10 for me and I have a flashing smiley, 3 days earlier than normal.

Brummiegirl15 · 31/10/2014 07:30

Wow well done ignomious" and just realised Dulcet* you have one too!!! That's amazing.

Well I'm public enemy number one. Told my other friend that I wasn't coming to the lunch due to friend number 1 being pregnant. And she's gone mental at me saying "why did I have to ruin the surprise??" WTF?

Ok I admit I wasn't thinking and I feel bad that I ruined the surprise. But our friend had IVF as a single woman and is now holding a lunch. We pretty much guessed that she was telling us this. So I'm shocked my other friend has been so harsh.

But hey this isn't about me is it - as I've found out.

Why does everyone feel like we should pull our socks up and get on with it and are impatient when you don't???

So been up all night, lots of tears. No sleep. Poor DP. I'm thrilled for my friend by the way - I'm just struggling

ignominious · 31/10/2014 07:32

Wtf you didn't ruin the surprise! That kind of reveal is only exciting for the one doing it.

Treaclepie19 · 31/10/2014 07:32

Brummie don't feel you have to explain yourself. I can put myself in your shoes easily and know I'd be feeling the same.
Look after yourself and don't let people get to you.
They just don't understand x

EnglishGirlsReturned · 31/10/2014 07:45

Congrats Purple and Igmonious!!
I'm panicking because I just did a FRER (with smu) but the line is super faint! Sad And I have some pink cm. trying not to think the worst but chemical pregnancy is wriggling around in my head! Sad

Brummiegirl15 · 31/10/2014 07:47

If I'd said it completely out of the blue then I'd understand being cross at me for blabbing.

But we knew every detail of my pregnant friend going for ivf. So as a result you are either pregnant or not - holding a lunch a few weeks after is a pretty good indicator. We talked about it amongst ourselves FFS.

Treaclepie19 · 31/10/2014 07:52

English what test did you use yesterday?
And remember lots of people have pink cm and even full on bleeding and all is fine. Sending hugs.
Keep an eye on it and maybe go see your gp?

EnglishGirlsReturned · 31/10/2014 07:59

Cb digi with fmu yesterday.
I know they're less sensitive so the fact it showed up on that is good. Can't help worrying... Bloody miscarriage ruining my innocence! Angry

ignominious · 31/10/2014 08:00

Just did the top one with second wee of the day. Sorry to obsess. I think the tests are broken. Why did I throw the first wee away. I don't want to look forward to testing tomorrow if AF is going to come.

TTC after MC - the best shit place to be!
Treaclepie19 · 31/10/2014 08:04

Definitely a good sign English.
This is your sticky bean so no bad thoughts allowed! X

ignominious I'd say it's looking goof for af not to come! Can you get a frer?

OP posts:
daisysunshine2 · 31/10/2014 08:34

Woah so many BFP's! Congratulations to all! :)

ignominious I can definitely see faint lines, why don't you get a cb digi or a frer today? I'd say it definitely looks like you're pregnant though! :)

english I know it must be super hard but maybe wait a few days before doing another? What was the test that had you a 'squinter' on before the cb digi? Maybe do another one of that with fmu?

Brummie I completly agree with the way you handled it and totally ubderstand where you're coming from. What I've found though is that anyone who's never had a miscarriage will not understand at all. For some reason it's something that people have a ton of sympathy but no empathy unless they've been there. So I wouldn't fall out with your friend over it maybe just ignore her and then find another way to talk to her about something else in a few days but remember that she'll probably never be a good friend to discuss TTC problems with :( it's so hard though :( sending you big hugs xx

chasing thinking of you this morning xxx

NewEraNewMindset · 31/10/2014 08:51

OMG what a run of BFPs!!! Amazing!!

I can see a line on every test that's gone up in the past few days so stop freaking out everyone.

Monten · 31/10/2014 09:12

Oh my god, I leave the thread for a day and we have 5(?) bfps??? Maybe I should go away more often! Congrats to everyone - I can see lines on every one too.

english so sorry you are having this worry but these tests are really not reliable indicators in any way how a pregnancy is progressing. I would stop testing for at least a week, if you can, I know it is so hard. The innocence is gone but you are pregnant lovely Thanks Thanks

brummie I think you handled it very well and I would have done exactly the same. It's not that you are not happy for her, of course, it's just listening to excited planning when you had what they had but it got taken away, and you so desperately want it again.... I've been in that exact situation, with no warning and it was horrific. You need to put yourself first, you are absolutely right.

daisy the sympathy not empathy thing is really true. People just do.not.get.it.

I am cd13 with 4th flashing smiley. How many flashing smileys do others get?
Getting impatient now. Dtd again this morning - it's like a gambling isn't it?! When to time shagging for optimal egg action but not to tire dp out so much he's got none left when it actually arrives! Spread betting I think is the order of the day.

Treaclepie19 · 31/10/2014 09:19

Monten I normally have 3 but the month I got my bfp I had 9 or 10.
