This bus is for anyone ttc hoping to get a BFP in December.

I know it's super early, but as I'm currently on a 2 month enforced break from ttc following a ruptured ectopic, December is the next bus I can catch.

Do feel free to come and join me on the journey.

sue and beansprout I'm the same as you guys. Onto cycle 5 and it's getting harder. I have been pregnant before but it was with an ex and it was unplanned but I lost it. So even though I know I've been pregnant in the past it still feels like trying for the first time and I'm worried there is something wrong with me which makes no sense whatsoever! I guess I thought that it would happen easily because it had last time.

butterfly why will u not get maternity pay after March? Fx it happens before then for u :)

I just need a distraction somehow from all of this. Joined weight watchers although I'm not hugely overweight but that's stressing me out even more coz I don't understand it! But going on holiday in January so if not upuffed I'd like to nice and slim :)

MaGratgarlik1983 · 11/11/2014 21:29

I feel exactly the same. Now on CD6 of cycle 5 trying and I just feel so sad about it all. We were pregnant on cycle 2 but had a chemical pregnancy then afterwards I totally skipped one cycle so that didn't give us a chance at all that month. Then my last period was really odd, just quite light but clotty, which I think is probably due to the CP then an 8.5 week gap. Now we've agreed to have a break until January as I don't want to be in limbo over Christmas and holiday but I just feel so sad because that means two months of my life where I won't be pregnant which means less time that I get to spend with any future children that I have if I ever have them. I'm just getting a bit scared of time rolling on and on and nothing happening again which I know is silly but argh can't help feeling like it!

What a tough time this ttc lark is!!

Beansprout30 · 11/11/2014 21:33

Reassuring post spamanderson, I really wish I could just go with the flow but im so excited that it could happen soon and also worried it won't! Am constantly googling this that and everything re ttc. Maybe the novelty will wear off at some point. Sounds selfish and stupid but one of my friends is expecting her second and im just waiting for another friend to announce she's expecting again, it's so hard to be all happy when deep down im greeen with envy!!!

Bfp for xmas would have been amazing, still a chance but would loved to have been able to tell a few close relatives.

Ooh where you off to in holiday dozy? I could do with one of those

Dozygirl · 11/11/2014 21:46

Egypt :) went earlier this year and our friends are going back for her 30th so thought we'd join them. At least if I don't get pregnant I'll be able to enjoy Xmas and holiday without feeling ill. I thought I'd be pregnant by now tho when I first thought of going. I normally go skiing but again didn't want to waste a ski holiday if I was pregnant. Decided it's better not to put things off in case you're pregnant otherwise could put life on hold a long time!

Beansprout30 · 11/11/2014 21:55

Yes you're right, at least that is something to look forward to for the new year. I totally love xmas so gonna make sure I don't deprive myself of any festive drinks or treats and really enjoy it.

Anyone watching miracle babies? Those poor little mites and what the parents have gone through Sad

butterflycats · 11/11/2014 22:02

dozygirl I work for the nhs but finish my training end of August and will then be employed as a locum or salaried doctor (not that any surgery will employ a married female without kids!) so I lose the occupational part of maternity pay :(

tessiegirl · 11/11/2014 22:24

Hello everyone, hope I can join you all too!
I have just left the November bus as AF arrived today - a little bit earlier than I was expecting but this new cycle will be the first one we are properly ttc so excited!!! Smile
I came off the pill mid September, had withdrawal bleed, first 'real' AF and now this is my second 'real' AF off it. Last cycle was a practice month for tracking - using opks, temping and I use Ovia and FF. Have also been reading up on ttc - so far I have read 'What To Expect Before You Are Expecting', 'The Impatient Womens Guide to Getting Pregnant' and currently in the middle of 'Taking Charge Of Your Fertility'. All very interesting and I'm enjoying learning new things about my body I never knew before, I am fascinated!
Here are my stats: tessiegirl, 31, TTC#1, Cycle 1, BFP due around 8th December

Amyyy27 · 11/11/2014 22:38

Knitted thank you, I do have their number, I am just terrified they will tell me I haven't passed everything I don't think I could handle that news right now so will try again at weekend and if still BFP will have to make the call!

I know I'm a wuss :(

DizzyNorthernBird · 11/11/2014 22:58

trixie & treacle thanks for the book advice, that's plenty to get me started! Smile

Dozygirl · 11/11/2014 23:01

Not watched miracle babies yet but that's my job so I see it everyday. I love it but damn it can be hard sometimes. I'm surrounded by babies all the time but mainly they are poorly so doesn't give me chance to get broody.

Dozygirl · 11/11/2014 23:03

amy I feel for u. I hope it does all go on its own so u can crack on with trying again.

spinningirl10 · 12/11/2014 06:56

Morning Grin

Dozy, are you a midwife? I love going on holiday in January, it's always the worst time of the year and nice to have something to look forward to and some sunshine.

Tessie, wow you've read a few books, which one do you recommend?

Magrat, Sorry you're feeling down. Maybe a month or so off will be good and you'll come back raring to go in the New Year Thanks

Spam, I hope your dh's reversal goes ok and you get your bfp soon.

Af has finished so we can start againGrin

bessie84 · 12/11/2014 07:20

1 ticket for dec bus pleases.

day 10 (and last) of norethisterone to bring on af.... then we're starting medicated iui (hopefully if scanning dept can fit us in) so testing day if all works out ok, should be week before xmas. eeeeeeeeeeeek. good luck all. x

Freckles79 · 12/11/2014 07:23

Morning ladies, just catching up on the thread after a few days hiding away with horrible AF...a few tears and some red wine helped!! Wine I totally understand about family pressures, my mum is obsessed and keeps dropping hideously unsubtle hints! I actually got quite upset with her last week and told her offBlush.

Dozygirl I thought I'd gety BFP straight away too (Fertile Goddess that I am!). I've now taken the mental pressure off myself and plan future things like work and holidays...I think I'll be away with a friend when I next ovulate, it will actually be a relief to have a break from the 2WW!
So next cycle I'm trying fertility gels (leftovers from a pregnant friend!) and I've also stopped taking Agnus Castus which I've been taking for while...I want to remove as many variables as possible! And most importantly I'm going to RELAXGrin...I've been far too stressed about it all!
Good luck ladies! X

MrsExtraOrdinary · 12/11/2014 07:47

Wishing you lots of extra luck this cycle spinning for a plain old boring cycle Wink

spinningirl10 · 12/11/2014 07:52

Thanks MrsEGrin

Orangeisthenewbanana · 12/11/2014 08:07

Morning lovely ladies! Got escorted off the Pregvember bus by a ticket inspector disguised as AF Angry. Grabbing myself a lovely mulled wine while I can, might as well make the most of it!

Will catch up fully later but quickly, my stats are:
Orangeisthenewbanana, 34, ttc #2, cycle 4, bfp due approx 15th Dec

Fx Santa brings us some early Christmas bfp's!

SueBridehead · 12/11/2014 08:20

Have got a bb thermometer this month.. Can someone explain to me how it works? Was just going to use dr google! x

Dozygirl · 12/11/2014 08:30

I'm a Neonatal nurse spinning. Gosh your AF is over quickly! Mines only just coming to an end.

Sorry to everyone who's joining us from november bus.

Dozygirl · 12/11/2014 08:32

sue I've ordered a thermometer too this month. Quite a few of the ladies have started temping but all quite new to it so think they try to help each other out with interpreting them. I'm not sure how well it'll work for me because I work shifts but will give it a try.

spinningirl10 · 12/11/2014 12:00

Ah Dozy, that must be a tough job, enjoyable but hard at times I imagine. Af is still kind of here, just the tail end I think. I'm not surprised it's shorter than usual as I was only had af 2 weeks ago! The soy screwed my cycle up. Hopefully this one will be betterGrin

Dozygirl · 12/11/2014 13:33

Got my fingers crossed for u spinning. I need to get over all this emotional crap coz it's getting worse each cycle and I'm not even half way into a year of trying. I need to man up!! U don't realise how hard it is gonna be emotionally until u start.

TrixieRay · 12/11/2014 15:41

Treacle, that book sounds good. I am taking a break from reading anything related to ttc and reading Marian Keyes new one at the mo. Have added it to my wishlist, love finding new authors to read.

Sue, I found temping really helpful. Basically, take your temp as soon as you wake up in the morning (don't even get out of bed), ideally this should be after 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep and at the same time each morning. I just jot mine down but lots of ladies use aps. You should notice that your temps are lower in the first half of your cycle and then increase after ov. They should then stay up if you are pregnant, or drop a day or two before AF (boo!!)

Sorry that so many of you are feeling down, it really is tough this TTC business. Thank goodness for Mumsnet!

I've just booked my first reflexology appointment for next Monday, really looking forward to it.
