Hello, this is a follow on from the half stone for September thread! Natty and I decided it was time to re-think our goals!!

OP posts:
Natty1806 · 08/11/2006 13:01

back from lunch had ham and salad sandwich ......followed by a few pringles and more wholenut chocolate. Uh Oh.

Was thinking of trying ww ready meals for lunches next week as they are generally under 350 cals - what do you think? Is this healthy or unhealthy? (with regards to preservatives, salt etc etc)

MrsMcJnr · 08/11/2006 18:19

Didn't manage to make the class, got a phone call just as I needed to leave. Will go back next week though - promise.

Natty, personally, I try not to eat pre-packaged stuff, mainly because it does not satisy me for fill me up so defeats the object but they have their place and are better than having nothing or not enough to eat.

Natty1806 · 08/11/2006 18:59

Just had chinese .....what is wrong with me, hate being slighly fat and yet cannot stop eating the stuff that makes me this way.

Did manage 10 mins on tramoline though.

coggy · 08/11/2006 19:05

Oooh Mrsmc be careful you don't get on the slippery slope with me!!!!!

Natty....I would say that any trampolining would be worth a chinese!!!
I did 5 mins on a friends trampet (sp?) and my calves were burning!!!!!

Chips for tea for me......but McCain less than 5% fat so even RC would approve!!!!!

indignatio · 08/11/2006 19:16

Ok today
2 cups coffee
again better with the water
2 G&T's - and no doubt a glass of wine (or 2)later
1 satsuma
2 egg omlette with cheese and fine herbs
1 slice garlic bread
still to eat - Lasagne and garlic bread - salad if I can scrape some together

MrsMc - shame on you skipping class - like the excuse though
Natty - trampolining is hard work - I'm sure your body required the chinese - always my argument for chocolate

ready4motherhood · 08/11/2006 21:53

Feeling a bit blue today, so I made a shepherd's pie with broccoli and peas for tea... it was delicious... I topped it with cheese and leeks for that extra bit of comfort!! Utterly stuffed now!!

For lunch I had a sunflower seed and carrot salad, yoghurt and cupasoup.

Mid afternoon snack - kettle chips

Breakfast - Oatcrisp (the bottom of the packet with all the dust - my favourite bit!!) and juice.

No exercise again unless grocery shopping counts?? clutching at straws again!

ready4motherhood · 09/11/2006 22:15

I feel like I have kinda hijacked this thread... but it's helping to motivate me(after a slow start) to eat better.
Oatcrisp and skimmed milk for breakfast. 1 piece of toast. Cup of tea.
Chicken salad sandwich for lunch and a yoghurt.
Choc slice mid afternoon (naughty treat allowance)
2 chicken fajitas for tea.
just about to settle with a cup of ovaltine before bed.

didn't do great with the water today.

how's everyone else doing??

indignatio · 10/11/2006 06:54

Morning all
yesterday good on food (except no fruit) but bad on drink
2 cups coffee - OK
Not enough water
4 glasses wine
bowl of soup for lunch
1/2 cheesy baked potato and sausage casserole for supper - plus and extra sausage when I got in late evening with the munchies

Good news - lost 1.5 lb this week
bad news AF arrived

indignatio · 10/11/2006 06:55

Plus over 1 hour walking

Natty1806 · 10/11/2006 08:32

Well done on the loses i put on two right six weeks to go until Christmas so i am planning to lose at least 6 pounds starting from......now. x

You all seem to be doing very well, this is going to be my main focus up until Christmas rather than ttc. xxx

Juicylucythe2nd · 10/11/2006 09:51

Hi Girls,

Just popped in to say hello and wish you luck with your Christmas targets (weight loss AND the all important BFP)

I've actually lost weight since I got mine. Combination of no drinking - God it makes such a HUGH difference (Just how much alc was I putting away before ) - and eating less because of ms (although not WHAT I'm eating as that is pure carbs and chocolate).

Got my 12wk scan on Tuesday so wish me luck and here are some pure gold bits of baby gold dust for my dieting chums

I hope you have been able to tell your family about your baby without too much upset......I have been thinking about you all alot.
X

Indignatio....... and for you this week then.
(((((hugs))))))

Natty......my 3 pounds from last week have disappeared and I am back to the same weight that I have been now for months!!!!!
Think my scales must have freaked out last week......maybe yours have the same problem eh??!!

It it really only six weeks to go??!!!
Blimy.
I need to stop drinking and get a grip.

MrsMcJnr · 10/11/2006 10:33

Hello! Oh JL SO lovely to hear from you, wishing you all the very best and glad to hear that my theory for my own pregnancy re losing weight due to lack of booze has been proved . Stay in touch!!

Ok, well the last couple of days have been rubbish. I should have gone to that class as it would have taken me outside and away from the computer and I might not have got the awful migraine that I got yesterday. I was sick and in bed all morning. Managed some dry wholemeal toast and a banana around 2 and then went for an hour and a half walk to the village and back. Really felt like the fresh air would help and it did. Dinner was chicken noodle soup and more dry toast .

I have bought lots of organice, root veg to make a nice healthy stew and an organic chicken to roast on Sunday. Will be back on track in no time.

Home scales say I stayed the same this week. Well done to all of you who have lost. We all still have time to lose those pounds and get a BFP before Christmas .

Thanks for the baby dust , rubbing myself in it right now

Sorry you have been porrly Mrs - hope you feel better soon. xxx

ready4motherhood · 11/11/2006 12:17

No healthy eating today... feel I should do a pre-emptive confession. I lost a lb this week as well , and in 1 day I will manage to undo that, and some ... AF arrived this morning so will be loading up on junk today!! Serious effort to lose weight starts next week

Natty1806 · 11/11/2006 12:48

Well done on the lose. Enjoy your junk food. AF has now left so no more excuses for me i'm afaaid. Was good yesterday though and planning to be good today. x

ready4motherhood · 11/11/2006 21:05

Question... this is sort of tongue in cheek, but sort of not ... do raisins count towards 5 a day as fruit??? how many would you need to eat to count??

If so (here comes the tongue in cheek part) do chocolate raisins count??

I just chomped on a mountain of the blighters and thought, should I be feeling completely guilty? Or just guilty about the chocolate part?

ha ha ha... sorry it must be all my period hormones but I am reading this back and am still going to press "post"

coggy · 11/11/2006 23:22

LOL Ready4..............count 'em anyway!!!!!
Raisins have got to be good haven't they???!!!!

coggy · 12/11/2006 14:03

Oh bugger.....!
DH took me out for Sunday Lunch but the place we anted to eat was full so I have just had a quarter-pounder with cheese meal and banana milkshake!!!!!!

coggy · 12/11/2006 14:03

wanted

ready4motherhood · 12/11/2006 16:29

tee hee Coggy!!!

my lunch consisted of a token gesture at some squash soup and toast... couldn't manage much... but then proceeded to munch my way through a stack of pretzels

coggy · 12/11/2006 18:24

My tea (so far) has been...........1/2 pack of organic dates and two handfuls of organic almonds.

Does the 'organic-ness' make it better???!!!!

ready4motherhood · 12/11/2006 18:40

without a doubt the organic-ness makes it better!! i haven't had any tea yet, but never can be bothered to cook when DH is not here, hence reheated leftover soup for lunch, and will end up with a bowl of cereal for tea... where did I put those choc raisins??

coggy · 12/11/2006 18:41

LOL!!!
My DH is at work too....hence the rather ropey tea tonight!!

ready4motherhood · 12/11/2006 18:44

We will have to make sure that once we are pregnant (and it has to be soon doesn't it!?) we will not have lazy teas when DHs are working!!
