Hello! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Just found the last thread all full and panicked so thank you for starting this one eagle. I am too paranoid to post on an antenatal thread too, makes no sense, I know! Lovely to chat on here though, it's a very supportive thread.

June that's fantastic news! I wondered if you were expecting a BFP this month. If anyone else wants to claim the leftover CB dual fertility opk sticks you are very welcome, although you may get a BFP before you use them.

How is everyone doing? I'm really struggling with horrible nausea and exhaustion. A year of DS not sleeping through the night is taking its toll!

Eagle are you still feeding at night? If you are night weaning might help.

I am still feeding at night - it's a tough one because of living with the ILs. We've tried a few times to settle DS without feeding but he gets hysterical and we can't have him crying in their house in the middle of the night.
I sleep in another room for part of the night which lets me get some sleep but I still end up feeding him about twice a night.
I really want to cut right down on feeding, it's so sore and uncomfortable and making me feel horrible at the moment but I don't think I can successfully cut down on day feeds without a bit of reverse cycling kicking in
Did you use a specific method for night weaning, toes?
Sorry for the moan, just feeling a bit overwhelmed at the mo and it's hard when DH is the only person who knows in RL!

AF got me this week but am hoping that's sign body is sorting itself out after mc so can get firmly back to TTC once finished. Poor DH won't know what's hit him! (although poor boy has taken to his bed tonight, been working too hard these last few weeks).
eagle when i was pg feeding became pretty painful and weird feeling but then settled down, so it might pass soon.
June and MRsD, so pleased for you both, try not to freak out too much and get lots of support in RL if you can. and of course we're here anytime!

Hello - just popping by and spotted more BFPs! It sounds like there's been some tough times in the past but that this is a lucky thread

DD is 11 months now, feeding twice a day, and I've had 2 AF, so really hoping in ovulating and on track. Think I've had ewcm today so hope we've done enough this week. I think 2ww starts tomorrow.

I peeked at the June 2015 thread today. I shouldn't. It's silly. I am on a fabulous group from my last pregnancy and I can't wait to see what those potential pregnancy buddies are like. Mustn't torture myself!

This thread doesn't seem to stay in my "threads I'm on" list so will try harder to look out for you guys.

Best of luck to all pre or post BFPs. Trying to DTD often with a bf (and teething!) baby or toddler is tough. Morning sickness must be challenging too.

still nothing here. Not even an AF. Not for nearly 22 months now... this is starting to get really really DULL. and everyone I know in RL seems to be pregnant. I am beginning to wonder if I ought to wean DD (although I have no idea how).

gunpowder maybe I should take on the lucky OPK sticks... do you need the fertility monitor thingy to use them?

I conceived when DD was 22mths without getting AF back so it is possible! Have you had any signs fertility is returning? I charted mood/cm for a couple of months to get a vague idea of my cycle (DD wakes too much for temping.)

Thanks madrigals and gunpowder! I really hope things start to pick up soon!! I have been vaguely keeping an eye on cervical fluid and DTD at any sign of EWCM but I haven't noticed a monthly cycle as such... But then perhaps I haven't been monitoring closely enough and good idea to look at moods - I have certainly been feeling especially "hormonal" the last week or so - fingers crossed!!

I would love to catch the first egg. I am finding TTC with no AF more than a little frustrating and depressing but really don't want to wean DD just for that (am feeding as I type!). I think if no AF by Christmas, when she is 2 then I will think about it...

And gunpowder thank you! I haven't tried a monitor before but maybe this will be the key!!!

ThankGoodness I cut down to 2 feeds a day for a week or two which was enough to trigger ovulation. I felt really hormonal just before (and after, actually!) I ovulated so maybe this is your month!

Madrigals you gave me great advice when you were Waiting, thank you.

MrsConfusion glad everything is returning to normal for you. DH is complaining he feels 'used' now I'm pg, I think they should make the most of TTC.

Hope you are feeling as calm as you can MrsDiddly and that you have a very sticky one.

eagle I nightweaned DD by 'just' stopping feeding her from 7-5am which then got extended to 6 and now 6.30. It was a speeded up version of Jay Gordon crossed with some Amelia Grace. Hmm, that makes me sound a bit crazy.

There was a lot of crying, but angry rather than sad (I stayed with her whole time) and it was only bad for two nights. I think your DS is a bit younger though. Are you IL's going away at all so you can crack it? You must be exhausted.

Feeling fairly anxious mrsd-trying not to get too excited yet. As a patient of the recurrent miscarriage clinic I can get a scan at 7 weeks-only 3 to go!

Eagle I didn't follow any special technique. DS was an appalling sleeper and woke up hourly. From about 3 months I didn't feed him at every wake up as it was physically impossible. So I would settle him without feeding half the time. At 6 months he would be ok without a feed till about 3am. Then I realised that when I feed him at 3-4am it's more for me than for him, as then I'd take him to bed with me and get some decentish stretch. Until one night I just thought now or never. He did cry for the first couple nights, but I was there to comfort him, and within a week he started doing 5-6h stretches. Even 8h. He was 7 months, so quite young but I was losing my sanity...

Thanks again gunpowder - I would love this to be our month. Sadly we have had a lot of family staying recently and DD has decided that it really is much more fun to be AWAKE at night (has refused to go to bed earlier than 9:30pm the last 5 nights and then woken up at 4am ready to play) so DH and I have not been doing enough DTD. Will redouble our efforts!!

June - good luck at your scan. Hoping the 3 weeks don't drag by too slowly.
Mrsconfusion - good news on AF. Hope you are doing OK!! Have you started to TTC again yet?
eagle - I have tried to night wean DD 3 times so far... without much success (obviously). The best one was when I just went in (or sent DH) with a bottle of water. Sometimes she was really thirsty and then I rocked her, sang to her and tried to get her to take a dummy for a bit before putting her back down. It worked for a few weeks and she stopped asking for milk in the night, but now we are right back with her feeding up to 2 - 3 times per night. Good luck!

(sorry, I totally just jumped in with my own issues earlier without reading the thread properly - was feeling a bit wobbly last night for some reason.... perhaps to do with the I had while watching Downton Abbey)

Thanks for all the night weaning tips ladies. We've tried the water thing and that doesn't go down very well!

What tends to happen is that DH (and sometimes me) can settle him when he first wakes (usually about 10.30/11). However he usually wakes again around 1/2 and if no boob is forthcoming he gets really angry (knew exactly what you meant gunpowder!!!) so that's when I have to give in to it because otherwise he'd wake up the ILs. Plus DH always caves and says "he's really hungry!" - which he isn't cause he sucks for about 3 mins and he's back asleep! Then he'll wake at 5/5.30 and I don't mind that feed so much.

It's not a bad amount of wakings, it's just that I don't get any decent stretch of sleep in the second half of the night.

I keep reminding myself that soon we will have our own house so hopefully we can make some changes then!

Phew, that was a lot about me! Hope everyone is doing well. Glad to hear things are getting back on track for you MrsC. And Happy Birthday to your DD tomorrow (is that right!)

thankgoodness, I read a statistic on another site yesterday saying that 92% of women had their AF back by the time their DC was 22 months. So she's around the corner!

junebaby, hope the next 3 weeks are busy ones and there's not too much time for thinking. I've 3 weeks till my scan too and I'm so impatient.

eagle I woke up wondering about weebairn and whether she's popped yet? ooo how exciting. Can't offer any night weaning advice I'm afraid. My boob monster is a bit of a dummy monster too (during sleep time anyway) and we would just resettle him, telling him to go back to sleep, which he would so long as he had his dummy and floppy bunny. I'm sure it will be easier in your own house. Is it long till the move?

june only 3 weeks eh. I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow assuming something is going on in there. Have debated a private scan, but I'm still in denial and not sure I've a chance in hell getting DH to put his hand in his pocket for one!! And I'm skint! My weeks are passing by relatively quickly considering. I've made us so busy socially that we don't have time to think about babies. Just keep booking in visits to friends, and chores, and family and planning trips away with friends. Only symptoms are mild nausea, and tiredness. I have never eaten healthier before in my life.

hang on in there thankgoodness it won't be long... AF or a beautifully timed BFP will show up soon.

Well my mum has only gone and broken her hip. And only lives a trillion miles away. Ok exaggeration. about 200 miles away. I know there's nothing I can do to help esp whilst she's still in hospital, but still feeling pretty helpless. So back to keeping busy it is. Mop the floors or quick power nap? I'm thinking and some Downton...

TTCers and BFPers! Can you jog my memory? Do you continue DTD during ewcm or is it a bit late by this stage?

Fertility tracking app said fertile week was last week (up to Sunday) but then yesterday and today had lots of ewcm. Maybe we peaked too soon!

ewcm is usually around just before ovulation so its the best time to DTD. Good luck anything

Thank you for thinking of me eagle and mrsdiddly.

A very punctual baby turned up on her due date (and DD1's birthday) yesterday evening. A bit stunned by the labour (4 hours as opposed to 30 hours for DD1) but mostly in a good way! Feeding is going well - actually it's lovely to be breastfeeding again. Ah I am still on a baby high. Love to you all and thanks for your luck and encouragement this year. Fingers crossed for all of you.
