Over here all breastfeeding TTCers! Welcome to our thread - a place for us to come for support, information and to talk about the extra challenges of TTC while still breastfeeding.

Seeing as I filled up the old thread I thought I should start the new one!

For anyone who is new to the thread or needs a reminder, here are a few links to some useful websites (thanks Waiting for putting these together). I hope I've worked the links properly.

Thanks for the insight Anything and Pears. Good point about changing feeds on a daily basis. Some days he feeds waaay more than others. I feel uneasy about reducing too much but I think I shall just make an effort to stop feeding him out of habit. Often if he's fussy he's attached before I even realise what I'm doing iyswim?! I got to hold a newborn at a sling meet this week and it felt soooo tiny, am super broody now ??

ToesAndFingers · 13/10/2014 18:48

Don't lose hope Anything and Pear! Nothing is lost until AF shows her ugly head!

I'm itching to POAS. Have to wait till Friday though. Cramping stopped but today I have tender boobs. DS is feeding now and messing about but that's not uncommon Grin

Haven't told my DP my suspicions yet, I think he'll freak out when I do! Grin

peardrop2 · 13/10/2014 22:25

Anything - 7 days until AF arrives. I have a crazy long cycle :-( No chance of a July baby now Hmm

AnythingNotEverything · 13/10/2014 22:33

Really Pear? If I manage a bfp this month (looking about as likely as AF at this rate!) then I'd be due around 18th June. Have you tried a due date calculator?

AnythingNotEverything · 14/10/2014 09:45

Internet cheapies still bfn despite being 3 days late. Bought a pack of posh digital ones. BFP. No one to tell as can't get hold of DH. Over the moon and terrified!

DD is almost 1 and we're still feeding morning and night. Hope this gives someone else some hope. Keep your fingers crossed for us Grin

Yzma · 14/10/2014 10:52

Yay Anything! Congratulations Smile Hope it all goes well.
It's you next, pear and toes!

mrsdiddlydoo · 14/10/2014 11:52

Oooo congratulations anything That's super news. Bet you're head's spinning! Grin Wishing you a boring and very sticky pregnancy xx

ToesAndFingers · 14/10/2014 19:25

Yay Anything!!! Well done, congrats! I hope you have a very straightforward uneventful pregnancy! Flowers

I was increadibly thirsty last night. Drank almost 2l of water before bed and overnight Shock so I didn't sleep too well...

Today I'm absolutely exhausted... Almost fell asleep feeding DS before bed. 2 more days and I POAS...

ispyfispi · 14/10/2014 19:30

Congratulations Anything! So lovely hearing positive stories ??

eagle2010 · 14/10/2014 19:33

anything, super news! Congrats! Wishing you an uneventful smooth pregnancy.

The more I talk to people about BF/TTC/pregnancy the more I really do believe the BF and conception thing is so personal to every woman.

Some people may need to drop feeds to conceive but others don't. DS still fed pretty frequently at night when we conceived.

toes, Friday is around the corner! I've my first scan next Wed and I am willing time to speed the €&!' up!!!!

I agree eagle. My cycles have slipped straight back into a 28 ish day pattern and ovulating too. We've been very fortunate so far.

Hope to see some of you on the June antenatal bus soon ...

peardrop2 · 14/10/2014 20:19

Anything ~ Congratulations! That's amazing. You must be so pleased!! How did DH take the news? My cycles are now 34 days long which is why I'm out for July Hmm I would get an early August baby if I tried in October. Do you have any cheapies left or have you used them all up? If you haven't can you let me know when it finally shows a line please Grin

peardrop2 · 14/10/2014 20:55

Anything ~ please share what symptoms you've been having, if at all? Wink

peardrop2 · 14/10/2014 20:59

I've had salami and wine today. Just as well AF is soon to arrive lol Blush

AnythingNotEverything · 14/10/2014 22:23

Pear I shall keep on peeing and report back!

AnythingNotEverything · 15/10/2014 08:25

Pear internet cheapie BFP (15DPO) this morning with FMU (yesterday's wasn't). Don't believe they are sensitive to 10 thingamibobs but at least they work.

Good luck ladies. I already have sore nipples and have been bitten. What joy?!

peardrop2 · 15/10/2014 15:56

Anything ~ Thank you! I shall miss you but good luck with it all Wink

peardrop2 · 15/10/2014 15:56

I am 15dpo today. Shall I test for fun. Hmmmm!

Gunpowder · 15/10/2014 16:26

Just found thread again to very exciting news! Yay Anything! so thrilled for you. FX for you too, Pear, and everyone else on the 2ww. Smile

Ps Pear, yes! POAS!

Gunpowder · 15/10/2014 16:28

Ooh and good luck for your scan Eagle

June and MrsDiddly* hope your pregnancies are being very boring.

peardrop2 · 15/10/2014 16:30

BFN Hmm

Anything ~ how long was your last cycle? Maybe with a 39 day cycle I'm testing too soon.

peardrop2 · 15/10/2014 16:30

Really clutching at straws!!

Gunpowder · 15/10/2014 16:36

Pear it's not over till it's over! I think breastfeeding tends to lengthen first half of cycle rather than luteal phase, so maybe you are too early.

ToesAndFingers · 15/10/2014 18:44

Fingers crossed for you Pear!

I've decided I'm testing tomorrow. One day won't make a difference and I just can't wait any longer. So nervous....

Gunpowder · 15/10/2014 18:51

Ooh good luck Toes!
