Over here all breastfeeding TTCers! Welcome to our thread - a place for us to come for support, information and to talk about the extra challenges of TTC while still breastfeeding.

Seeing as I filled up the old thread I thought I should start the new one!

For anyone who is new to the thread or needs a reminder, here are a few links to some useful websites (thanks Waiting for putting these together). I hope I've worked the links properly.

I think I read it, agreed in my head and subconsciously copied on autopilot Grin

Envy of the newborn cuddles btw weebairn

ToesAndFingers · 01/10/2014 22:55

Aww weebairn congrats! Flowers Same birthday, how cute!

Sorry, this is going to be a bit of a ramble - I think I'm going mad!

I had my period last week which was quite heavy, so I discarded last month without thinking about it. But now I'm getting all these symptoms... Constant peeing, dizziness, headaches, weird smells, I'm almost not losing any hear Grin smelly wind Blush

The funny thing is that although they all can be explained by something else and I wasn't really clutching straws - as I said I just discarded that month - I just find it all a bit weird.

I don't feel pregnant. I don't think I am but now I have this in my head.

Please tell me I'm mad and I should stop being stupid.

peardrop2 · 01/10/2014 23:39

Hello ladies Smile I've been recommended this thread by one of your members. I have recently started TTC DC 2 who is 16 mths. I am still breasting at 7am and 7pm. AF returned at 14 months when I stopped feeding him to sleep at day naps. My cycles seem to be long 39 days but I think I am experiencing ovulation spotting so with that along with App tracking I suspect that I am on the road to the fun filled 2WW! So, that's my story Smile

AnythingNotEverything · 02/10/2014 07:58

Hi pear waves

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 02/10/2014 09:12

Toes have you POASed?!

Welcome Pear

mrsdiddlydoo · 02/10/2014 12:56

woop woop! weebairn congratulations!! Lovely news. So pleased for your bundle's safe arrival and quick labour. I'm jealous of the bf. And all the joint birthday parties to come! and cuddles. Yay! You deserve them! Take lots of care and drop by again soon. xx Yay!

Hi Pear! Nice to have you on board. Were your cycles long before DC1? I found it took a few AFs for my cycle to settle down after DS.

And Toes have you poas? AF could have been implantation bleeding but I have no experience of it. Not sure what to think? Hope you're ok

Yzma · 02/10/2014 12:57

Hello everyone,

Can I join? DD is 15 months and a proper boob monster. I'm slowly cutting down on daytime feeds but we co-sleep and some nights she can feed every couple of hours.

No AF yet but have noticed mild cramping, sore boobs and more CM every so often for the last couple of months so perhaps it's on its way back?
This seems like a lucky thread! Smile

MrsConfusion · 02/10/2014 15:30

weebairn what wonderful news, many congratulations! Grin Enjoy those cuddles and BF and all the lovely new baby smells

DD's 2nd birthday yesterday, so HURRAH to me for BF for 2 years. Not many people to celebrate that with in RL so thought I'd say it here with people who might understand Wink. We had lovely day out then utter nightmare bedtime, lots of tears and wouldn't go into her bed (3 times she feel asleep on me then woke when I moved her). Poor wee thing. Then I got migraine and back pain in middle of night and ended up off work today. Ah well, chance to catch up on MN (slept until 1.30!).

Not much else to report here, got first AF since mc last week so now about to jump back onto DTD bus, not sure we'll be up to weebairn approach through with all 3 of us poorly/under the weather.

Hugs to all x

peardrop2 · 02/10/2014 19:56

Thanks for the welcome!

Mrs ~ congrats on reaching 2 years! That's quite an achievement when so many people give up after 6 months or less. Have you found that lots of people have judged you in RL? I know that friends and family are surprised I'm still going Angry

ToesAndFingers · 03/10/2014 18:05

Welcome Pear and Yzma!

Congrats MrsC, 2 years, well done!

I haven't POASed as I think it's just my hormones playing up. I've lost 2 lbs through all that peeing! Shock

DS got a nasty stomach bug. He just keeps throwing up everything he eats. And drinks. At the moment he's feeding/snoozing on my boob. This is going to be a fun night...

peardrop2 · 04/10/2014 09:09

Oh Toes :-( tummy bugs are just horrendous. We had to deal with one last year and it took us weeks to recover as the whole house caught it. Poor you Thanks

Is anyone symptom spotting? Wink

peardrop2 · 05/10/2014 22:25

Where is everyone hiding? Is there another thread that I don't know about Hmm

AnythingNotEverything · 05/10/2014 22:27

I think this is a surprisingly quiet thread.

IMO. DPO 5 so about halfway through my 2ww. I'm wishing the week away.

How are you doing Pear?

peardrop2 · 05/10/2014 22:35

It's too quiet Wink

Still early days for me. Luckily I have a busy week ahead so that should help. I'm trying very hard to not obsess like I did with DC1. I have however brought my CBFM down from the attic today Smile

AnythingNotEverything · 05/10/2014 22:49

I think there's been lots of BFPs so probably lots of MS kicking in.

Fingers crossed for us!

mrsdiddlydoo · 06/10/2014 11:25

Bit of on off nausea here and just trying to keep it together. Just trying to convince DS he wants a nap, but from the screams I can hear I've failed! Wet wet day outside. So far we've watched too much TV, eaten biscuits on the sofa reading books and I've resorted to putting up his pop up tent but he just wants to knock it over. Going to be a long day. Need to pop to the shops but can't face it right now. Might be a waterproofs a jumping in puddles afternoon.

Any easy ideas to entertain a hyper 19m boy?

MrsC Congratulations on making it to 2 years! You should be mega proud! Hope you're feeling ok.

eagle2010 · 06/10/2014 17:52

mrsc, 2 years is an amazing achievement! You've given your DD a brilliant start Smile

Glad that things are slowly coming back to normal for you too.

Feeling very rough here, much worse than I felt with DS. Finding the evenings very difficult to deal with! We told our families at the weekend and everyone was delighted. I hope we didn't speak too soon but at this point people would know if something went wrong.

mrsd, I hope your day brightened up a bit. I'm afraid I have no exciting ideas for a 19mo! Maybe some water play? Or doing potato/fruit prints? Although all those things require energy which I definitely do not have at the moment.

Hi to everyone else. Hope that nasty tummy bug has passed you by, toes

OP posts:
ToesAndFingers · 06/10/2014 22:19

MrsD and Eagle I wish time speeds up for you and get into comfier second trimester.

DS is much better, it looks like it was a quick passing bug. Vomitting stopped that same day, and diarrhoea never really started. He does have softish poo but it's not runny. He was quite upset and not his usual self over the lady few days, but getting back to normal now. I really like to think it was my magic milk that cured him Smile

Good baby making effort this month - we've managed to DTD every second day. However, I've no idea when I've ovulated, should have been over the weekend but I'm still getting EWCM today Hmm So I guess I need to put my cape on and lure DP into the bed just in case!

Good luck with 2ww pear and anything, let us know of any exciting and promising symptoms!

ToesAndFingers · 06/10/2014 22:21

Oh fgs last few days, not lady!

AnythingNotEverything · 06/10/2014 22:26

Im on day 6 DPO and trying not to symptom spot ... But tonight's chorizo tasted very very odd and I'm ravenous. Not definitive, but something at least.

Glad the magic milk helped the sickness bug. DD has had two very funny and stinky dirty nappies today so I hope we won't see vomiting tomorrow ... I let her feed to sleep to get as much as I could into her.

Pear - how are you doing?
