Tex111 and Bigbird!

WELL DONE & CONGRATS. Looks like it's a sober Christmas for you 2.

Good luck Morgan and everyone else too....

Schmozer · 26/04/2004 10:05

Huge congratulations to the BFP gang. Hoping your luck will rub off on me and all the others trying.

bluestar · 26/04/2004 10:25

Have I started the luckiest thread going?? So chuffed for you Tex111 and BigBird - huge huge CONGRATS to you both OK so December was slow but looks like the New Year is going to be great for so many on this board!! Morgan sounds good for you too, good luck.

Ermentrude, stay positive.

I have definitely ov'd now, CD16 for me so now 3DPO. Temp has shot up really high straight away which is very unusual (nomally get some flat temps first). On holiday soon so will have to wait before I can test and will be 15DPO when I return. And NO I will not take a pg test with me!!

futurity · 26/04/2004 13:20

Fingers crossed Bluestar! Day 16 also but still waiting to OV!

BigBird · 26/04/2004 13:53

Thanks to you all ! Still in shock ! Couldnt sleep at all last night !
Edd is 4th Jan !

Moomin - I hope you will be joining me on the Jan thread too.
Good luck bluestar, futurity, azure and everone...
Kay1 - just something I read earlier from you - I did do the legs against the wall thing this time so maybe that was the trick ! You should try it !

Ermentrude - A break sounds good. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Morgan · 26/04/2004 14:13

Boo hoo hoo I've tested and got a bfn - could that be because i was so stingy and bought the cheapest tests in Wilkinsons at £2.99 for two ?? i don't suppose that is the reason i imagine its because i'm not pg which is really crap - i've got my lap & dye two weeks today so won't be able to try this month anyway when eventually af comes although at this rate i may be ovulating after it and not before as i thought i would be.

I feel really down now but will just have to solider on i suppose as usual.

Toothache · 26/04/2004 14:18

Morgan - It could very well be the cheap tests! Why don't you go get another one, Boots own aren't that expensive (8.99 for 2). Or perhaps go all out and get a digital "no messing" one.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Morgan · 26/04/2004 14:31

Thanks Toothache i may have to go and do that now so it was a false economy really !!

ChaCha · 26/04/2004 17:12

Hey you guys! Didnt anyone miss me?!?
I'm just back from a long relaxing holiday
Have taken a break from TTC but hope to start next cycle.
Congratulations to all of you that are PG Great news!

xx

smellymelly · 26/04/2004 17:38

Morgan - I'm sorry Don't want to get your hopes up but I used the poundland tests, £1 for 2 tests, (can't get much cheaper) and it still came up positive 5 days before af was due. You still have a chance though... Digital one worked for me too.

Hi Chacha - yeah we missed you, but you can see how busy it's been here!!!! Glad your enjoyed your holiday - where did you go??

bluestar · 26/04/2004 21:14

Morgan, I would test again in a couple of days if af doesn't arrive. With ds1, I had to wait until I was 5 weeks before the test went positive but I was pretty convinced that I was.

Futurity, I am actually CD19, I ov'd on CD16. Much earlier than I expected, thought I would be getting in my last ttc bd tonight, instead I am going to bed early to catch up on my sleep!! Since I didn't OPK, I'm really glad I took notice of my cm as my temps weren't indicating anything in particular. Still, I just have to play the waiting game 'again'.

Welcome back ChaCha, good luck for this month.

I wonder if it's ok for me to join this thread. I don't really understand alot of the abbreviations but I think I can catch on. We have been trying for a couple of weeks now but am not sure if I ought to be testing temps and stuff. Do I just but one of those kit thingies? Thanks

Tex111 · 27/04/2004 08:33

Good luck Morgan, I got a negative and then later got a positive so you never know. I'd wait a few days and try again. Best of luck to you!

Kay1, BeckiF, Moomin, Schmozer, Bluestar, Futurity, ChaCha and everyone else TTC, lots of babydust your way ~~~~~~*~~

Sarochka, you can buy a kit at Boots. I know someone in the group is using that one so maybe they can tell you more about it. If you already have a digital thermometer you can save a few pounds and find lots of free info online and even print out a chart. The website I used to use for charts is www.tcoyf.com but I think www.babycentre.co.uk has charts too plus lots of info on how to do it all. Good luck to you!!

bluestar · 27/04/2004 08:46

Sarochka, welcome! Are you trying for your first? I use fertilityfriend.com - they have a chart you can input your temps on and they have a handbook which provides loads of info on temping etc. If it is your first, might be worth just seeing how it goes before getting involved in all the temps, ovulation predictor kits, as you can get a bit 'bogged down' by it all. I think most of us taking this route are trying for baby #2/3. Good luck - hope your stay is short (in the nicest possible way).
