Sorry Ermentrude

Futurity, I get flat temps too, not unusual for me to get a line of 4 flat temps so don't worry, it does change eventually! Gosh, we do really have similar cycles don't we?

Moomin, sorry you are having a c**p time. Wish you & family well in the next few days. Pox is doing the rounds at the mo, I have a holiday at end of week and am praying that ds does not get it before then.

I've only been away a day or so and blimey

CONGRATULATIONS Smellymelly....please send babydust our way too

Just bought some OPK's and worked out that if my cycle is 35 days (which is has been in main) then I need to start testing on CD18. But guess what!!! DH is away for this day and the next two!

I'm pretty well stuffed this month now aren't I?

Would've liked to joined SM on the Jan thread. Oh well maybe we can keep this new lucky thread going into my next cycle please?

Tex111 · 23/04/2004 17:50

Kay1, sounds like your DH is going to have a great bank holiday weekend!

Hugs to you Moomin. Well, at least you may get your BFP as soon as Monday! Sending very ++++ positive +++++ thoughts your way. I'm with BigBird on the chocolate. Helps in any situation.

Mosegirl, you start testing on CD18 but you might not OV for a couple days after that. I think the average is something like 12-14 days before AF is due, so you could just make it! Good luck to you!

Morgan · 23/04/2004 20:31

Moomin - really sorry to hear about all your hassle and esp. not being able to see your friend - what bad timing.

I am now on cd 30 so still wondering what is happening. Crying again today at Trisha, do you think that could be an early pg sympotom not previously recognised? oh well time will tell. Still hoping I may have to cancel my lap.

AussieSim · 24/04/2004 09:53

I haven't posted on this topic for a while - trying to stay relaxed about TTCing. But am thrilled to confirm this morning (via my Maybe Baby OPK) that I am oving, and as it is the weekend my DH is home, so an active weekend for us I guess. Send some positive thoughts our way ...

bluestar · 24/04/2004 15:18

AussieSim, +++++++ thoughts your way!

My temp rose this morning so assume I have now ov'd. Cycle seems to be getting shorter which is good. Have bd a couple of times but with no OPK, only time will tell if we've made it this month.

Moomin & Morgan, good luck.

Morgan, I cried at the dentist's today. That song What a Wonderful World was playing and it just really got to me. I'm definitely blaming it on hormones because I got a BFP this morning!!!! I can't believe it. I really thought we had missed it this month.

Lots of baby dust to everyone!!!!

Tex111 · 24/04/2004 17:41

Good luck AussieSim!! This seems to be a very lucky thread!

futurity · 24/04/2004 17:44

Flipping heck Tex111! Thats good going! Wasn't it your first month of trying?!?! Congrats!!

My temp changed this morning so I am off the flat line..horray! Day 14 today so OV due around day 19 I think...I pray it comes earlier and I have a bigger luteal phase! Fingers crossed!

Tex111 · 24/04/2004 17:55

Hi futurity, yep, first month trying which has kind of freaked us out a little. It took almost a year with DS so we were prepared for a wait. I think we're both in shock and just trying to take it in. Due date is 5 January.

Tex111 · 24/04/2004 17:56

Congrats on the temp change! It feels like such an achievement to see your body working properly. Best of luck this month!!

AussieSim · 24/04/2004 18:25

Congratulations Tex 111 - good news for me too - my DS also was a long time coming.

gothicmama · 24/04/2004 18:38

Congrats Tex111

smellymelly · 24/04/2004 18:55

CONGRATULATIONS TEX111

I wont be so lonely on the Jan 05 thread....

Sending loads of baby dust to everyone ++++++ !!

Bigbird - In answer to your question - I knew there was a possibility, but really did not think I was... Only symptoms were; spots, constipation (!) and a mood from hell!!!!!!

smellymelly · 24/04/2004 18:57

MORGAN - when are you testing????????????

Kay1 · 24/04/2004 19:51

i knew this was a lucky thread!! Congratulations Tex111

Moomin · 24/04/2004 20:03

Well done Tex111 (and MrTex111)! Huge congrats you lucky lucky buggers

hana · 24/04/2004 20:20

Wahey tex!! Fantastic news! What a way to start 2005 eh?

And Smelly won't be lonely - I'm hoping that you'll both have more company soon.
lots of luck everyone!
how old is your first tex?

ermentrude · 24/04/2004 20:43

Congratulations Tex!! Excellent new.

ermentrude · 24/04/2004 20:48

Ladies
I just want to thank you for all of your advice and support for the last few months on TTC and many congratulations to those of you who have moved on to the pregnancy threads - I am genuinely really pleased for you!

However, I really feel it is the time for me to bow out of this thread for the time being. I am finding it increasingly difficult to deal with the downside of the TTC thing. I am going to take myself of to my GP and get some advice about short luteal phases since it took a long time to conceive my first baby. I don't want to get myself into a downward spiral about TTC and I can feel that starting to happen.

Good luck to all of you on this thread - will be watching out for you all on the Pregnancy threads!
Ermentrude

Azure · 24/04/2004 21:16

Just caught up with the news. Many congratulations Smellymelly and Tex111. I can't believe there is a due 2005 thread yet.

Ermentrude, I'm sad to hear you're bailing out for a while, but understand about the stress of ttc. Best of luck - I hope it all works out for you.

Kay1 · 25/04/2004 10:08

Ermentrude - totally understand how stressful it all is. Although this thread can be incredibly supportive, i find it's really important to have some space as well and it can be so hard to keep positive. Take care and good luck with GP.

Tex111 · 25/04/2004 11:38

Hi! Thanks for all the good wishes! I think we're still in a state of shock. I did another test this morning just to make sure and got a darker line than yesterday. I can just hardly believe it.

hana, DS is 20 months so they'll be about 2.5 years apart. DS should start going to nursery righ around the time that No2 is born so, hopefully, that'll work out well.

ermentrude, I definitely understand about taking a break. It's wonderful that you're being proactive rather than just spiralling down, which can be so easy to do. Best of luck to you!!

BigBird · 25/04/2004 13:34

OMG OMG OMG

I just tested 20 mins ago and its POSITIVE

After 16 cycles trying for number 2 I cannot get my head around this. I felt no different this month and have no symptoms. There was just this niggling in my head saying 'test now...test now'....I'm on cd 27 I think....OMG I am shaking.
DH was out hosing the garden when I told him...I think he is in shock.

bloody hell....so am I.

Soapbox · 25/04/2004 13:45

Its probably quiet on here today so let me be the first to say congratulations

You must be thrilled!
