Bluestar.

I'm sending 'double'(!!!) the amount of baby dust this way....

++++++++++++++*

futurity · 09/05/2004 13:21

Sorry to hear thata Bluestar..glad you had a good holiday though

I am on CD 29...11 DPO...yes...11! Unheard of for me since coming off the pill. Haven't got AF pains but have lower back ache and am quite spotty (very attractive!!). Temps wise I had a dip on 9DPO but it has gone up again so who knows what is going on with my body this month...could be implantation dip but not holding my breath! Won't take a test until Thursday which will be 15 DPO. Will keep you posted!

Kay1 · 09/05/2004 18:58

Hi bluestar - sorry about AF Glad the holiday was good, even with the sick bug! I could do with a sunny, relaxing holiday right now - we're going to Pembrokeshire at half term with all family - MIL and step-kids too - should be fun, but not necessarily relaxing.

Looking good so far futurity - keep us posted !!

gold123 · 09/05/2004 21:59

trying not to get my hopes up, I am on cd29, every month I have a 28 day cycle, although March was 26 days and April was 30 days. Fingers crossed for me that AF doesn't rear her ugly head tomorrow, if she doesn't will test Tues.

futurity · 10/05/2004 08:07

Back to CD 1 I think my temp did start going down yesterday (been sleeping really badly so didn't realise when I had got the right temp) but today AF has arrived. Oh well. Postives are than I did get a longer luteal phase (10-11 days), I didn't get awful PMS and my DS will have his birthday all to himelf in January. Also can book blood tests for this cycle as well.

Azure · 10/05/2004 08:56

Bluestar and Futurity sorry to hear about AF This month is really quite boring for me ttc wise - as I wasn't temping, OPKing or BDing at the right time, there isn't much to report.

Azure · 10/05/2004 08:56

Gold123 - fingers crossed it will be your month.

BigBird · 10/05/2004 09:45

Bluestar and futurity
I really hope to see some more long time ttcers with good news soon. Really wish you all the best of luck this cycle.

bluestar · 10/05/2004 10:32

Futurity, sorry that af arrived for you too. I think it's more disappointing when you get the temp dip and still no pg. Glad I avoided the temping for the last week before af this time as I was more relaxed. Will temp & OPK this month again though. Here's hoping for those February babies!!

Gold123, sounds promising, good luck.

Futurity

Feeling ok today despite AF. Whilst I was out this morning my husband has been investigating waiting list times and private consultancy. Bless him..he knew I was going to phone this pm and he has done it for me. Basically on the NHS there is 14-17 week waiting to get a referal from the GP. He phoned the private department and of course you can get the appointment alot quicker (for a fee..but not as much as i was expecting). Also it seems like I would only have to see him the once and any treatment gets passed back to the GP so wouldn't have to pay for drugs. Apparently the woman told him all about different treatments for short luteal phase and that there is alot that can be done. And I figure that in the waiting period after blood tests and getting the appointment I could get pregnant anyway as it seems like my cycle is settled back to 29 days and that my OV is moving slowly back to where is should be..fingers crossed anyway. Sorry for going on but I am feeling a bit more hopeful and wanted to share it all with you!

Schmozer · 10/05/2004 12:05

Sorry to hear about the AFs, Bluestar and Futurity. Good to hear you both sounding positive anyway. Very excited for you, Gold123 - let us know as soon as you do the test!

Azure · 10/05/2004 12:09

That sounds promising Futurity. What a star your DH is for finding all that out.

GillW · 10/05/2004 12:24

Anyone know how long Agnus Castus takes to start working? Started it this month, after cycle had settled down to an average of 21 days (though last one was only 18, and has been right down to 15 at times). Currently on CD26, so it looks positive, but I was really expecting it to take longer for any effects to kick in.

Well that's the good news.... but since CD21 I've been getting some spotting (not much - more like blood-streaked mucus about once a day, and clear in between times, sorry to be so graphic). Is this a known side-effect? Not sure if it means I should stop taking the Agnus Castus, as these symptoms aren't normal for me.

bluestar · 10/05/2004 12:41

GillW, I get this spotting a few days before af starts properly. Some cycles I get it for a few days and others just the 1 day but for me, it definitely means af is on the way.

OP posts:
futurity · 10/05/2004 13:39

I also started Agnus Castus recently. The first cycle (just finished) my OV had moved to earlier in the cycle but also taking other vitamins (including B6) so not sure if they are what caused it or if it would of moved anyway. I read that it does sometimes work straight away but generally takes about 3 months to kick in. I also noticed a big improvment in PMS this month.

gold123 · 10/05/2004 14:05

I can't believe it, I knew I was tempting fate this morning by buying a test. I can't believe how unbelievably low I feel, must have wanted this more than I thought. Oh well here we go again.....

bluestar · 10/05/2004 14:51

So sorry gold that it's not your month either Has af arrived or is the pg test negative? If af hasn't arrived, there must still be a glimmer of hope? If not, come & join me & futurity for those Feb babes.

OP posts:
Azure · 10/05/2004 14:51

Really sorry to hear that Gold123 I get very low when AF turns up. Hopefully your lucky month is just starting now.

gold123 · 10/05/2004 14:57

Bluestar - both, I rushed home from town did the test - negative, then 1 hour later AF arrived and the test cost £8.99 - if i'd have known I would have bought a great big bar of chocolate instead !!!! - I have to go to work this evening to be faced with 2 pregnant women, not there fault I know, but I just wish I was them.

Schmozer · 10/05/2004 15:07

So sorry Gold123 I felt so down when AF arrived last month and trying to put a brave face on just makes it worse. Think a big bar of chocolate is just what you need

gold123 · 10/05/2004 16:19

What is Agnus Castus ? never heard of it. I like the sound of it making PMS easier to deal with, if nothing else. Thank you all for your kind words. Just need to think positive thoughts for next month. I quiet fancy a Feb baby anyway.

GillW · 10/05/2004 19:36

Gnus Catus is a herbal remedy which balances hormes - so good for long/short cycles, not ovulating, PMS, etc. You'll find loads if you google for "agnus castus premenstrual", but try this for starters. Also try the BMJ on recent research, here .

GillW · 10/05/2004 19:39

That'll teach me not to preview. I meant "Agnus Castus " of course, not "Gnus Catus". (Sounds like the latin name for a bizarre cross between a cat and a wildebeest - the mind boggles!)

sarochka · 11/05/2004 19:41

Hi all. Bluestar sorry to hear about holiday. feeling so weird this month. Must be hormones - am still trying to get over the AF?? ( still trying to get hang of acronyms!!) from hell that I have had. Never had one like it and have been feeling strange since. Waiting for that Opk time. Smiles to all even though don't much feel like ti myself at mo
