The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Thanks Sarah :)
Congrats 50degrees :)

Monten · 16/09/2014 12:30

I'm cd33 sarah. Second cycle post wtf cycle, last one was 27 days. Bfns so far. Grrrr. Is this your wtf cycle?

sarahlou20 · 16/09/2014 12:47

Monten It's my first proper cycle post wtff. First AF was exactly 6 weeks after my mmc and now I'm on cd49 of the next cycle. I've always been very irregular so I wouldn't be surprised if af puts in an appearance at some point in the next few days. I guess it can take a while for cycles to settle back down after mc too. Who knows?! Do you have any pg symptoms?

greysar · 16/09/2014 13:06

Sarahlou it's CD42 here, 8DPO so this'll be at least a 46 day cycle; last cycle was 41 days, the one before that 58. You're not alone! Thanks

sarahlou20 · 16/09/2014 13:22

greysar It's really frustrating isn't it. Have you always had long cycles? I was on the mini-pill for 3 years before i came off it in March this year and had no periods at all while I was taking it so I'm a bit clueless about what's normal for me.

Sorry to hear you're all having such a bad time at work. I will add my voice to the crowd...

I was promoted just after the MC and my extra responsibilities are kicking in about now. Me and one other man act as my manager's deputies. I have to now take on some of my manager's responsibilities including appraisals and monthly meetings with staff to check how they are getting on. I only have to do this for two members of the team & guess who I've been nominated to deal with - bloody pregnant woman. I think the fact that I feel like spontaneously bursting into tears every time I see her may be an issue. I guess I just need to keep my gaze at eye level and not look down at her bump (is this what men feel like when they they try not to look at our boobs)!

greysar · 16/09/2014 13:40

Sarahlou I've always had really long, irregular periods- the only suggestion I was ever offered by the GP was the pill, and that was the only time I ever had regular periods. But that's not exactly helpful right now!!

I think my cycles did get a little shorter (like betweek 35 and 40 days, rather than 40-60 days) was when I was following a low GI diet for about 6 months, a couple of years ago- apparently it's good for regulating oestrogen and boosting progesterone production... got lazy and came off that though, currently back on!

sarahlou20 · 16/09/2014 14:07

Sunbathing thank you Smile The tiny sticks I've got are supposed to be highly sensitive too, but do you think the FR tests are better? I'm tempted!! Trying not to spend too much money at the mo as we're in the process of buying a house. OH will give me such a row...although he needn't know i suppose Hmm

broodylicious · 16/09/2014 15:10

monten, exactly the same! I'm on cd31 and having quite strong tummy pains/AF cramps but not even a slightest sight of blood so yep, I've gone all neurotic over something new. I've gone from thinking "does an ectopic feel like this? They don't always show up on pg tests" to "must be cancerous growth" to "maybe I was pg and already lost another" to "maybe I'm pg but ovulated later than I thought so too early to test" to "oh stuff this, I'm just bloody late for no rhyme nor reason!" Grrrrrr! I think I will wait until Friday to test again, if still no sign of AF. If still nothing by this time next week, I will see the GP. What about you?

So sorry to see some new faces here again today. Please take things easy and make yourself comfortable here, you've had a horrid ordeal if you're in this room but we will all make you feel welcome xxx

KittytheKat88 · 16/09/2014 16:06

Thanks for all the lovely comments and support here. I don't feel line I'm alone. Among my friends I feel like I'm the only one not pregnant. One of my close friends said to me not long after my miscarriage, while she was talking about her new relationship she said she'd better go on pill as she only needs to look at a fella and she's pregnant. I nearly cried

Metalhead · 16/09/2014 16:26

Welcome newbies and sorry that you find yourselves here.

Congrats on your BFP 50shades, I hope this one sticks!

Sorry you're still in limbo monten and broody, how irritating. Hope you get an answer one way or another soon.

Still waiting for a +opk here, CD16 today. I was hoping to ov by Friday, but might be later this weekend now.

Treaclepie19 · 16/09/2014 16:36

Hiya all,
Sorry to see new people having to join :(

I'm about to go to the doctor to see if she can recommend anything for this vaginal burning. Problem is I don't think I can move off the sofa. Im really low this afternoon.

I'm in the same position as you metal, hope you ovulate soon.

thesmallbear · 16/09/2014 17:19

I am not coping well with work at all and feeling quite panicky. Will feeling like this affect my chance of conceiving? Thanks.

Thanks SunbathingCat I do understand why boss thinks it should be me, I was mentoring pregnant woman before I was promoted. I haven't being mentoring her for ages as she basically spent the whole of her first trimester off sick. It does make sense for it to be me from a purely work p.o.v. I don't think I can really say I don't want to deal with her because she's pregnant, surely that breaches some equality and diversity policy or law?

Feel like I have been super grumpy at work today, huffing and puffing and moaning. The post holiday blues is rubbish at the best of times without all this extra added shite. Been given a 'to do' list as long as my arm and am not able to concentrate. Can't be long now till it all comes crashing down and I end up in the shit!

Monten · 16/09/2014 18:39

smallbear so sorry you are having a hard time. Know that each and everyone of us understands why what you have been asked to do is so hard. Sometimes the thought of these things is so much worse than the reality though. Don't be afraid to ask for help or flag if you are feeling under too much pressure. You have been through a lot. And no, stress won't affect ttc. Just think of all the people who conceive in the most adverse circumstances. Hugs for you.

Ouch treacle indeed, I hope you are okay and doctor was useful.

broody sarah I am going to wait until Saturday to test again. I hate this! I never normally cramp so much with no AF so am starting to really worry about ashermans now Sad Someone upthread asked about ashermans and I totally forgot to reply. The important thing to remember it is quite rare. The risk comes from having ‘procedures’ (e.g. erpcs) which come with a risk of scarring. Natural miscarriage would not cause ashermans. The only way to get a diagnosis is with a very advanced ultrasound – apparently it is very difficult to get a referral from a GP as they think it is very rare, hence why some people go private. But as I said, it is apparently very very rare so I would hate for anyone to worry unnecessarily. I'm probably being silly. It's just so shit that we need to contend with worry on top of everything else.

Fergie11 · 16/09/2014 18:46

Your not out till AF arrives monten & broody!

Sorry your having such a bad time at work thesmallbear I'm sure your boss would understand. When I returned to work last week I was asked if I wanted to move seats as I sit near a pregnant girl. I said no as she is a friend and understanding of what's been happening with me. Well I only cried once today !! I can't wait for AF to arrive and hormones settle down. 4 weeks today since erpc so I'm sure it will be here soon.

sunbathing & metal hope you both get a positive soon.xx

My AF after just 4weeks with 1st mc so fx it comes it's the sane this time..also the way my hormones are at the moment it has to be on its way!

Tranquilitybaby · 16/09/2014 19:09

Positive test this morning as I've been spotting dark blood when I wipe since last Thursday night. AF was due Sun/yesterday so tested yesterday and got BFN. This morning got a BFP. Went to my gp who's sent a uribe sample off.

Not looking good though as about an hour after i've started bleeding red blood when I wee and wipe :0( not enough to heavily stain a pad really but too red to be ok.

I'm guessing this line is a bit faint really for 15/16 dpo don't you think? It's a Superdrug test. I'm gutted. Sad

Is this what a chemical pregnancy is?

TTC after a MC (I'm really rubbish at thread titles sorry)
Fergie11 · 16/09/2014 19:30

I don't know enough tranquility about chemical pregnancies, hopefully someone else will know. Fx you've got a sticky bean xx

Boozle80 · 16/09/2014 19:50

Oh Tranquility it can be so scary - I had it with the last pregnancy really early on too - it was apparently something that just happens when AF is due and some women get it every month all through their pregnancy. Something to do with the hormones forgetting your pregnant and trying to bleed but then your body reminding it. It may not be what you think - it certainly didn't contribute to my m/c in my case. Sending you massive hugs - sorry, I also know nothing about chemical pregnancy :(

Monten · 16/09/2014 19:53

Dud you say you had bfn yesterday and then bfp today tranquility? That's a really positive sign, hcg increasing. A chemical pregancy is when you get a bfp before af is due but then af arrives and tests show Bfn again straight away. It's so worrying for you but could all be totally fine
