Here, we go, nice new thread.
Might be helpful to have some stats so we know where we all are?

I will start, farfallarocks - TTC#2, cycle 11. 1st brooking baby DD, 21 months. Investigations reveal high FSH and potentially starting IVF.

Munx, I went to buy some on your advice, but said it was 12 and over. Is there baby stuff, or is this the same one? Pharmacist wasn't helpful

Munxx · 27/08/2014 22:32

The anbesol liquid? It's fine for babies, was the pharmacist that recommended it for me.

Munxx · 27/08/2014 22:33

here

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/08/2014 22:46

Thanks lovely. No, it was a gel. Will try again tomorrow x

Munxx · 27/08/2014 22:51

It's the liquid you want, you can apply it with a finger of a wee swab of gauze. It's marvellous magic stuff. I don't say this lightly but it did change our lives in terms of surviving those pesky teeth!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/08/2014 23:33

You're a star Munx, I know where I will going in the morning Wink

cartoontrickster · 28/08/2014 01:43

poor A hopefully munxx's marvelous medicine will do the trick.
N has just been up and I can still hear grumbling. poor things.

Pastamancer · 28/08/2014 08:21

Scan done, 1 wriggly baby present. They changed the due date to 5th March so I've gone from 12+2 yesterday to 13+0 today :)

I haven't told all my family yet and the funeral is today so I won't get a chance until the weekend so please don't post anything on my Facebook until I announce it on there.

Fox28 · 28/08/2014 08:26

Great news Pasta!!

cartoontrickster · 28/08/2014 08:30

great news pasta
pistol hope you are sticking around.

keepitgoing · 28/08/2014 09:20

congratulations pasta Grin and nice to move dates forward too Smile

geek 15 sticks already Shock 6+5 should be fine. I too saw the consultant as ivf pg but discharged immediately. some places though do things differently eg insist on induction at 40+0 etc. IMO once you're pg it's just a normal pg in most cases. gosh how exciting. bet it still feels ages away. have you told anyone yet? also can I ask did you have a medicated cycle yourself? how does it work, did you get any frosties? did you get to choose the egg/sperm donor at all? ignore these qus if you like x

I still need to make a gp appointment. right, will ring now.

keepitgoing · 28/08/2014 09:26

ffs no bookable appointments even non urgent. I have to phone at 0830 each day Angry

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/08/2014 09:35

Congratulations Pasta!

Pistol, where are you?

Sounds like my surgery Keep!! Nightmare!

Thoughts on GBBO Imps? #bakedalaskagate

keepitgoing · 28/08/2014 09:42

trix I meant to say I think once the tooth pierces the gum the pain eases off.
maybe poor a. we've been lucky with teething so far, she's not been too bothered. has a got any yet?

my surgery are good for urgent appointments but wtf is this. they have online booking too, which would be great except there are never any slots.

cartoontrickster · 28/08/2014 10:01

he has been absolutely screaming today, hopefully this is the worst of it, luckily the granules seem to calm him.
i can never understand why its so hard to get a doc appointment keep.

Solars · 28/08/2014 12:36

Wow how lovely to see so many of you here!

Geek yay for you and the early scan! I'm sure you'll see something on your scan we saw little A with his heart beat at 6+1.

Maybe my friends all rave about anbesol too! we've not had to use it yet though.

Pasta great scan news!

Grrrr to gp appointments, I find it so annoying!!

musicalmrs · 28/08/2014 14:17

Hi Far! No, I haven't hatched yet. 34 weeks, so still a while to go. When I saw my MW (for the first time in 10wks as she's been on leave whenever I've had appointments) yesterday she said "Ah, so are you overdue now?". I see everyone thinks I'm humungous this time then.. ;)

how goes the teething? :( And with N, Trix?

Imps brilliant news re BH!

Geek how exciting that it's all formally registered over here now! Grin Panic is completely normal Wink.

Pasta, brilliant news re your scan! Hope the funeral goes ok today.

Re #AlaskaGate Maybe/Imps/any other GBBO watchers - I'm not sure. Lots of people are saying the ice cream wasn't out of the freezer for very long, and that it was badly edited... tricky call :( In the circumstances had he not binned it he may have got through fine if the other flavours (and flavour of the icecream?) was ok...

cartoontrickster · 28/08/2014 15:41

not too bad thanks musical I don't Think it will be much longer I got a proper look earlier and it seems to have broken through the gum.
just watching bake off now I actually gasped when he chucked it in the bin!

keepitgoing · 29/08/2014 14:23

musical you're 34 weeks Shock can you put a bump pic on fab?

I have gp appt next Wednesday. here we go again. eek... Nct group all talking about when to have a second, (all saying not yet) not if, when Angry. as if we can all choose. most are real instadiffers, two at about 8 months think they took ages... hey ho, ivf babies are the best

keepitgoing · 29/08/2014 14:24

along with all brooking babies of course...

what is this gbbo scandal -> heads to google

cartoontrickster · 29/08/2014 18:08

wow your group are keen on aren't they keep!

keepitgoing · 30/08/2014 09:18

geek is 5 weeks pg Grin Grin

Imps9 · 01/09/2014 22:47

Good evening, fair maids.

Great scan news Pasta although I felt sure it would be twins. How is Mr P's job search going?

Maybe - the #bincident on GBBO was shocking! She didn't even say sorry! Never in all my years did I think we'd see such behaviour in the Bake Off Tent.

How are you feeling Geek? And Keep - it's tough to hear people making baby plans so carefreely (I know that word doesn't exist, but it should). Never fear though your next Brooking Baby will be winging it's way over to you - literally - v soon.

Far what news from the Far camp? Tested yet?

AFM am 7DPO and am having the ravenous hunger that I often get post-ov. Have eaten SO much food today. Anyone else ever get that?

Pastamancer · 02/09/2014 07:37

Sorry Imps I tried my best and got super strong test lines but only 1 baby. It will need a nickname though

ControlGeek · 02/09/2014 16:37

Hi ladies, just a quick one from me as MrG is out of the house for five minutes so I've taken the opportunity to get off the sofa!

It seem I have joined the ranks of our fabled Smegs, and am on day 5 of 'AF' (at least, if I hadn't have had positive pg tests, that's what I would think this is). However, an EPU scan today showed I have one little bean hanging on in there - just a sac at present, they weren't confident they could see the yolk yet. They couldn't tell where the bleeding was coming from, nor rule out ectopic (my ovaries go into hiding at the first sign of a dildocam), so I have to go back a week today for them to monitor my progress.

Aaargh I can hear the car - off to put my feet back up again!
