Here, we go, nice new thread.
Might be helpful to have some stats so we know where we all are?

I will start, farfallarocks - TTC#2, cycle 11. 1st brooking baby DD, 21 months. Investigations reveal high FSH and potentially starting IVF.

Awful, awful news Geek, why does life have to be so bloody unfair?

Imps9 · 08/09/2014 08:36

Been thinking lots about Geek, Cups, Beedle and Scarlett overnight. There is no logic or justice in life sometimes. Really hope you're all finding strength and are looking after yourselves.

How are the rest of you doing? And talk to me about internet cheapies - any stories to share about using them?

ControlGeek · 08/09/2014 10:41

Thank you all so much for your messages and thoughts. I have been lurking periodically, as and when I could cope, and took lots of strength from your kind words.

MrG and I are struggling to get through this right now. Our world is completely, utterly broken and I can't even begin to think about the future. We will get through this, just as we have got through everything else that life has thrown at us, but it is going to take a lot of time.

I hope you'll understand why I won't be able to come back for some time, please know I love you all xxx

Imps9 · 08/09/2014 10:56

Oh Geek much love to you Flowers

cartoontrickster · 08/09/2014 11:33

hugs to geek. please don't be afraid to come and talk about things if you feel like it may help. too many of us know how it feels to mc.

farfallarocks · 08/09/2014 12:34

geek totally understand. Have some more hugs.

The duchess of Cambridge news has just made me feel really down, ridiculous I know. I really hate this headspace I get into when TTC that I can't be happy for instadiffers (brokers apart!).
So easy for some...........

far I still find it hard to not have some slightly jealous feelings when someone gets pregnant quickly, easily and has a straight forward preg. I think its natural horrible as it is.
dh has sent me a message this morning asking if we are trying for another baby.

DinoSnores · 08/09/2014 13:30

The other thing to remember, far, is that we have no idea if or how the Duchess of Cambridge might have struggled with getting pregnant. She certainly struggles with being pregnant and the vomiting, so I have great sympathy for her in that regard! But I do understand that feeling of thinking, "why is that not me?". Hugs all round, eh?

farfallarocks · 08/09/2014 13:35

I know I know, that is why I feel pathetic for the way I feel and so sad that my first reaction to someone's happy news is to feel gutted. It's just not the person I am.

Holy fuck, girls. I just got a BFP I think.

farfallarocks · 08/09/2014 14:14

imps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who is going to do the display, that is amazing news? Tell us all!

A real FUFC BFP!!

Imps9 · 08/09/2014 14:16

Far chin up my lovely. It is a real dagger to the heart to hear news like that and know it will be plastered across the news forever more. It's even worse when it's someone who - on the face of it - has such a perfect sodding life. Have a mope and a glass of wine and say a big "fuck you" to the TTC gods today - you'll feel chipper soon. Thanks

Imps9 · 08/09/2014 14:18

I got what I thought was an evap on an IC y'day and thought I'd try a FRER today. If you can see photos let me know if you think it's a line or not ...

W are jolly well going to get pregnant this month and we're brooking no argument - all rat smackers past, present and future welcome!
Munxx · 08/09/2014 14:22

That is a line!!!!!!!!

DinoSnores · 08/09/2014 14:27

I got a very similar line about 4 years and 10 months ago - he starts school tomorrow...

Congratulations, imps!!! This is wonderful news!!!

Right, given that imps can't do it [lowers voice in manner of my mother] in her condition, who is up for the celebratory display??? Come on, folks!

Imps9 · 08/09/2014 14:32

I don't think I can trust it. I don't feel any different and my boobs don't hurt. And I'm not even taking folic acid and I've had so much booze in the last couple of weeks. I don't really know what to do!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 08/09/2014 14:36

Just popped on to lurk, as real life is beyond chaotic here, am so very sorry for geek and mr geek. But oh my god Imps!!!!!! As a past used of FRER, that is a whopping BFP!!! Looks like Mr Imps sperm is in better health than they thought! You were her before I joined the brooking world, and you have been so supportive and happy for everyone else when they have had their BFP's and I am so pleased that finally you have your turn!!!! ( am crap at gymnastics and need to stay injury free ready for my HOUSE MOVE in 2 weeks :)

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 08/09/2014 14:38

Crossed message imps. Any booze you had forget about it. It doesn't pass to the baby in the early days. Start folic acid today, and take things easy so it can settle in nicely for the duration!

farfallarocks · 08/09/2014 14:41

imps don't worry about that, more than 50% of pregnancies are unplanned and you will be fine, just start the FA now.
That is most definitely a line my friend, so well deserved :)

Have you had Mr imps on the supplements?

Hooray!!!!!!

OP posts:
Imps9 · 08/09/2014 14:45

Thanks! Will take each day as it comes though. Can't take anything for granted.

I just don't understand it. Mr Imps' sperm was, like, TOTALLY fucked - 100 abnormal forms! 18% motility and less than 4m count. I just don't understand how I could have got a BFP.

Ironically enough though, I think it probably happened on the day we had IVF referral appointment!

Imps9 · 08/09/2014 14:46

Oh, and no supplements, no! I honestly don't believe it.

Imps9 · 08/09/2014 14:58

Sorry, that meant to say 100% abnormal forms.

What does FUFC stand for Far?

cartoontrickster · 08/09/2014 15:00

that is a line! a bloody obvious one! congratulations! it only takes one!
when is/ was af due?
