Hello,

Was just wondering whether anybody has had a similar experience?

When trying for first child got pregnant the first month, however that ended in MC. Luckily I got pregnant again with DD after first month of trying again.

DD is now three, we would have started TTC sooner but I went back I Uni and I'm due to finish in November.

We have been trying for 5 months and no luck, worried that I've left it too late as I'm now 37.

On one of the pictures it definitely looks pink. Evap lines, afaik, are gray. So I vote line!
Can you go get a First response or something, might get you a clearer line.

GingerbreadHead · 10/11/2014 10:13

I think I might have to Hazle! Heading to the shops in a bit.....feel like AF could arrive any minute though, so trying not to get my hopes up.

HazleNutt · 10/11/2014 10:20

Get a pack of digital ones as well! They are less sensitive, but might work tomorrow morning.

Metalhead · 10/11/2014 10:28

Eeeek ginger I can definitely see a line, but I can't tell whether it's pink or not! Get yourself a FRER asap! I'm crossing everything for you that this is a BFP. xxx

lovesmycake · 10/11/2014 10:29

FX for you ginger

HazleNutt · 10/11/2014 10:35

Ginger, you were taking soy as well this month, weren't you?

lovemyboy247 · 10/11/2014 10:48

Hi ladies yhanks for the info on the soy I had never heard of it until reading on here. ginger- my cycles are jusy starting to bevome more regular. Since having baby sep 2013 my period only came back for 1st time july 2014 then didnt have one till sep 17th and last one was 22nd oct. So I only really have one cycle to work out my length of cycle if makes sense.I going on a 34 day cycle. I definatley ovulated on sep cycle and this one. In fact I had a solid smiley on cb ov yesterday and oh dtd with me do thats a start. I suppose im just expecting it to all gsppen alot quicker second time sround.

lovemyboy247 · 10/11/2014 11:03

Bobsy-I almost feel silly complaining after seeing you on cycle 22. I hope oh starts being more helpful and luck comes your way soon.
Hazel- thats great news hooe all goes well for you.
Ginger - do that test I think I can see line too. Hope we are all right.

lovemyboy247 · 10/11/2014 11:06

Sorry for typo errors. Sausage fingers and small buttons on phone are not good combination. Smile

LittlePoot · 10/11/2014 15:38

Wow ginger - your head must be spinning. Nothing worse than a maybe. You've probably been to the shops already, but my best advice would be superdrug tests or First Response and wait until morning for retest - an extra 24 hours and FMU, so you can be a bit more likely to see a positive. But I'll keep everything crossed for you. I've actually never had an evap line. Last month I even left the test out all day hoping to see one (by then I just wanted to see a line, even if I knew it was pretend) and still didn't get one! So hopefully that one's for real...

Hazle - great that yours has gone up!! These early weeks are so tough. So this seems to be a bit of a soy baby epidemic?! I've been reluctant to try it given my cycles are regular as clockwork and I don't seem to have an ovulation issue. But I'm starting to get a bit tempted. I have actually taken the Preseed suggestion for this month (was that Mister's?) but I have the joy of my HSG in the morning so not sure what that means for TTC. They've said not to before the test, but I don't know about after yet - although it strikes me that barium and xrays might not be the best thing for the developing egg.... I'm not sure whether they tell you there and then if they see a problem or whether I have to wait for a follow up appt (which I haven't got a date for yet). Not really looking forward to it either way, but at least I might get some new information. Will let you know how it goes.

Hello everyone else and welcome lovemyboy. Will report back tomorrow (assuming I'm not too traumatised....).

HazleNutt · 10/11/2014 15:48

The early weeks are really tough. Especially as I seem to be reading about MC and MMC effing everywhere! I have been firmly keeping away from those boards on MN, but it's not helping - seems like every celebrity in the world has decided to come out with their mc story suddenly.

GingerbreadHead · 10/11/2014 16:38

Have been at a friends all afternoon so not managed to use the FRER yet. Have got myself into a right state today! Didn't mention anything to my friend just incase I was imagining it, but just got home and used the FRER with FMU from this morning.......does this look like a bfp???!!??? One photo is with the flash, the other is without.

Metalhead · 10/11/2014 16:55

OMG ginger that is most definitely a BFP!!! Huge congratulations! Grin

I'm feeling quite emotional here, even though we've never actually met it feels like we've been on this journey together for so long... I'm so, so pleased for you! [sob]

LittlePoot · 10/11/2014 16:58

Definitely, definitely, definitely! Congratulations Ginger - that is most definitely a positive!

I on the other hand have just scared myself silly reading up about HSGs. Must stop Googling....

GingerbreadHead · 10/11/2014 17:00

Metal I can't honestly believe it!! It doesn't feel real! Two lines still doesn't seem like a bfp to me, I think I was expecting neon flashing lights and some cheerleaders with poms poms to walk into the bathroom!!
Ah thank you so much, I know what you mean, we were both on the ttc no.2 thread way back and have been going through this journey ever since with all it's ups and downs.

I honestly can't believe it. I never ever thought this would happen. I'm going to be in bits for weeks I think, still expecting AF to turn up!

GingerbreadHead · 10/11/2014 17:24

Sorry Little missed your post, thanks for the congrats!
You will be fine tomoz, another thread I'm on lots of ladies have been for them and have said they were never as bad as they had expected them to be. Their tips would be, take some paracetamol half an hour to an hour before your appt, and take a large sanitary towel with you incase of bleeding afterwards. They said the pain was just like period pain and only lasted a few minutes. Some ladies were advised not to ttc after the HSG, others were told to go for it! So I guess it depends how you feel about it, but maybe ask the nurses/drs anyway tomorrow what they recommend.

Hazle yep this was the first cycle I took soy, never actually thought it would work for me!! I took 100mg cd4-8, and also managed to dtd 3 days in a row after getting a +ve on a cb, which we've never managed before. I'm a nervous wreck! Need a large glass of wine, which I can't have now!!

HazleNutt · 10/11/2014 18:10

oh yes, that's a very line-y line! Congratulations!!! So we have two soy BFP the first month - a coincidence?

Treesandbees · 10/11/2014 18:30

Yaaaay Ginger!! Whoop to the soy! Grin

Hazel glad your cbdigi went up again. I felt so relieved with DS when that happened as id had a miscarriage before.

So I took my first lot of soy last night! I'm trying Cd3 100mg, Cd4-5 150mg
and Cd5-6 200mg. I do have a headache today but that could be work stress! Also it appears in having a proper period the month rather than my 2 day effort. I'm hoping my weird last cycle was a 'reset' and the soy does the trick Wink.

BobsyBoo · 10/11/2014 19:16

A massive congratulations Ginger so so happy for you Grin I had a feeling you would be next!

Metal My new thermometer arrived today thankfully as I also got a +opk this afternoon.

Littlepoot Hope everything goes ok with the HSG.

Lovemyboy I'm sure after only a few months of trying I was fed up and wondering why it wasn't happening, the added stress of OH's reluctance doesn't help and we only manage to DTD once or twice each month, and I'm sure that's partly why it's taking so long!

Well got my +opk today but we did DTD last night and on Friday, I decided I wanted to DTD every other night up to ov then do every night until after ov. I've warned OH that we need to tonight and tomorrow night. This will be cycle 22 for me!

HazleNutt · 10/11/2014 19:33

trees me too, had a mc, or more a chemical just before I got pregnant with DS, and the digi never went up from 1-2. With DS it did. So certainly was a relief. FX I see a 3 there next week.

Metalhead · 10/11/2014 19:37

Sounds like your DH is finally facing up to his responsibilities bobsy! Fx it will pay off for you.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to put a dampener on the soy success rate on here, I'm 8dpo today and not a symptom in sight. (But then I guess if I'm right and I've got a scarred womb it doesn't count...)

GingerbreadHead · 10/11/2014 19:39

Thanks everyone! Still in shock! Hazle it's no coincidence I don't think, I will be raving about soy to everyone now, I only took a small dose too but it must have been enough to improve the egg quality.
I am so worried now though about it being a chemical or having an early mc, AF isn't even due until tomorrow or wednesday Confused
Sorry for hogging the thread, I have been a nervous wreck all day, and so grateful to be able to talk to you all!

trees glad your body seems to be behaving 'normally' this cycle, good luck with the soy! It did give me a headache, managed to shake it off by about lunchtime though.

Bobsygood luck with the new thermometer. Brilliant news on the dtd!! Hope you manage to get OH to go again tonight, and even better if you can do tomorrow too. What soy dose are you taking this month?

Little my cycles were regular and I was ov-ing every month around cd14-17 so maybe you should give the soy a go on a low dose!

GingerbreadHead · 10/11/2014 19:42

metal I have had no symptoms. Everything was exactly the same as it would be if AF was going to arrive. I only had the imaginary line yesterday at 10dpo so there is still hope for you. I really hope you are one of the next soycess stories!!

lovemyboy247 · 10/11/2014 20:39

Ginger- That is most definatley a line line. Congrats. You gonna book a dr app so they can confirm confirm and get you a scan.? ooohhh exciting times ahead for ya.
Little- Hope it all goes ok for you tomorrow, what us women go through sometimes is massive, and the ohs cant even dtd without moaning. hahaha
Bobsy- Check you oh out. Go get him while in a good mood. Im on my second day of ov so i hope mine is up for it too. Ill leave him alone for rest of month then.
Metal and Trees - Think poosative for the soy it worked for the other 2 ladies, fingers are crossed for you. If it works for you two then im def on it next cycle..
I feel like ive joined on a real high what with 2 bfp's. Its great to know you can discuss these issues with other people in same boat. Not as easy talking to friends and oh's about this subject. Im sure my oh doesnt even understand ov let alone me try and explain to him. And if he knew i was on here he would get all funny about it.
Who is next to test or af? Im due 24th Nov

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 10/11/2014 20:58

Woohoo Ginger, congratulations!! Wonderful news! That is 3 BFPs in the last couple of weeks, seems this thread is super lucky at the moment.

Metal I didn't have any noticeable symptoms in the 2ww either so I don't think that means anything necessarily.

Bobsy I have everything crossed for you this month, sounds like you are in with a really good chance with your DTD and soy efforts.

Little sorry you are feeling nervous about tomorrow, I'm sure you will be fine and it will be good to get either some reassurance or answers and next steps. Step away from google! It is never helpful.

Good luck Trees, the soy does seem to be working wonders so let's hope there are some more soy BFPs to come this month!

Hi love, it is particularly frustrating ttc with unpredictable cycles, mine have always been crazy so I sympathise but hope yours settle down and you get your BFP soon.

I have finally stepped away from the tests since my test line was coming up darker than the control. I have been contemplating getting a digi to check for 3+ weeks (as I'm 5wks 2 days now) but I think that might be taking it too far, especially given how expensive they are! Beginning to get a few spells of nausea now so might just let that reassure me instead! How are you doing Hazle? Other than a bit of queasiness on and off and feeling very tired I still feel pretty normal here most of the time. Half looking forward to and half dreading feeling it a bit more! It's just a waiting game now til the 12 week scan anyway, probably be closer to 14 wks for me as Christmas gets in the way.
