Hello,

Was just wondering whether anybody has had a similar experience?

When trying for first child got pregnant the first month, however that ended in MC. Luckily I got pregnant again with DD after first month of trying again.

DD is now three, we would have started TTC sooner but I went back I Uni and I'm due to finish in November.

We have been trying for 5 months and no luck, worried that I've left it too late as I'm now 37.

Oooh I love the names, try not to worry, worrying won't change a thing right now. I know what you mean about having to much information these days but our grandmothers didn't have soy or clomid or online support either so I guess it's a good thing too!!

lovesmycake · 05/11/2014 12:41

FX for you too alien :)

alien11 · 05/11/2014 12:42

Thanks :-) I think I'll just grab a test with weekly shop this afternoon as I think worrying delayed last months AF so if I know it's not showing anything now I'll kind of accept it's not happening - does that make sense?!!

lovesmycake · 05/11/2014 13:09

Oh it absolutely makes sense I was 10 days late roughly with last months AF and I think stress might have had something to do with it I pee'd on many many sticks :) it was the accepting the BFN I had a problem with!

Metalhead · 05/11/2014 13:14

Good luck with poas alien!

Finally got DHs results back, all normal. So as expected, it must be me who's broken Sad.

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 05/11/2014 13:17

I am just the same Hazle, still poas every morning and trying to decide if the line is darker, can't help myself! 4w5d here and still not as dark as the control on my IC's, but I never managed to get a really dark line on them with DS either. Like you said there is no way to tell or to do anything about it at this stage, so any line is a good sign, try to stay positive!
I'm impressed that you have (lovely) names already, you too loves! I have no clue, was terrible with DS and didn't decide until 2 days after he was born Confused

lovesmycake · 05/11/2014 13:56

metal you are not broken, no matter what any results say you are not broken. Its positive news that his results are good because I think there is less they can do if its the man's issues. This is just one more step towards finding out what is getting in your way to conceive and fixing it. Have you booked your private appt yet?

Ah well I have a bit of a thing for using mine and DH relatives/ancestors names - so that rules out quite a few and helps me narrow it down. Now that I have written it down it seems a bit weird but it makes sense to me Blush

HazleNutt · 05/11/2014 14:16

alien I'm in France. Actually last time I got a scan around 5 weeks as well, as had the chemical before, but I'm not sure if that's standard. At 8 weeks, they will officially register you as pregnant, if the heartbeat is there.

I'll get the harmony test as well, as I'm 36. And besides, I won't have time to get the 12 week scan before xmas, but would be lovely to announce the pregnancy at xmas time. I'm thinking of buying DS one of those "I'm going to be a big brother" shirts and see how long it takes for my parents to notice.

JassyRadlett · 05/11/2014 14:18

Metal, I reckon all information is good as it takes you a step closer to figuring out what the the problem is and fixing it.

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 06/11/2014 09:53

Good news about DH's sperm metal, I think it's true that there's less they can do for male fertility problems (mostly about lifestyle changes) so it is positive that all is well there.
How is everyone today? I've lost track (on phone), anyone in tww at the moment?

GingerbreadHead · 06/11/2014 14:48

OMG. Just walked into the cafe at work to be directly faced with the lady I had to stop talking to because she was pregnant with her second, she was sat there with her tiny little newborn daughter. I had to pretend I had forgotten something and walk back out again fighting back tears. That was horrible. I feel a bit sick. I am fed.up. of this ruling my life. So rude of me too, what must that poor girl think of me!?

metal it is bittersweet hearing that nothing is wrong with DH, I too felt the same sinking feeling when I heard that DH is all normal and that the problem must lie with me. But like the others have said, just think of it as an extra hurdle to have crossed. It's an extra thing to tick off and move on from. Just look towards the app in London, I really hope it is good news for you and you can look to 2015 with a more positive outlook. How do they go about diagnosing Ashermans?

Hazle STOP POASing!!!! You are just going to drive yourself crazy and make yourself feel worse! Try and sit back, relax and enjoy being pregnant. I will slap your hand everytime you reach for one of those sticks now, you too Mister!

Alien did you poas this morning??

loves how is your monitor behaving?

Ah Hazle that was how I wanted to tell my parents too, I even looked at quite a few big sister t-shirts when we first started ttcing, so glad I didn't buy one in the end Sad

Well I have a date for my private appt, 18th Nov so not too long to wait. I hope I get some answers from it, but I think ultimately I'm waiting for my HSG to see if my tubes are blocked.
7dpo today and trying my best not to ss! Freezing cold right hand anyone??

HazleNutt · 06/11/2014 15:15

So sorry ginger that this has such an effect on you. And of course cold hands are a symptom! :D

Good news about the appointment - of course, hopefully you'll be knocked up by then.

alien11 · 06/11/2014 19:26

Hi nope didn't poas cd27 today. Need to find spare time to catch up with everyone :( tonight's out as I have a massive pile of ironing to keep me busy yay...

lovesmycake · 07/11/2014 07:52

ginger it is so bloody hard, don't worry about seeming rude she will be in that newborn fug and won't even have noticed I'm sure. 18th of Nov that is really soon I think the level of service / interest you will get from a private appt will be very different and I have my fingers crossed that you get some positive things from that appt that you can focus on.

I'm loving the monitor feels good to have a little bit of control back. I have been getting high readings since the first day which I think will adjust as it gets used to my levels but I find it kind of reassuring to know I have high levels of the baby making hormones and I find it impossible to see a high and not DTD so we are incidentally following SMEP. Just waiting for my peak now and I will be reassured that I'm ovulating. It's also my birthday today so I'm going to leave work early and do some cooking all very relaxing :)

Metalhead · 07/11/2014 08:04

Happy birthday loves, hope you have a lovely day with lots of Cake!

I think the soy must be doing something, I had a massive temp drop yesterday which I've never had before and which is apparently down to a secondary estrogen surge. Shame I was only 4dpo, it would have been such a good implantation dip... Grin.

Treesandbees · 07/11/2014 13:39

Metal that sounds promising on the soy! R u using opks too? Be interesting if you ovulate earlier.

Loves good work on the smep! Hope you have a lovely birthday.

Alien have you poas yet?? I was meant to say before that I used to have a mirena. No problems with them before DS but when I tried to have one put in after my body rejected it! It was like I was giving birth again!! Awful contraction like pain. In the end had it out and just stuck with condoms until TTC again.

So the witch finally showed up today. A bloody week late! It does mean that my theory on delayed ovulation is probably right and my LP was bang on 9 days again. Only change was that I had no spotting this month. I'm dusting of the soy ready for day 3!!

HazleNutt · 07/11/2014 14:45

Oh sorry trees - that's evil, a week late!

Here I can't stop worrying, I don't feel pregnant and have slight cramps - I know, totally normal, had the same last time, but still. And it seems that everywhere I look, there's another story of chemical, a miscarriage, blighted ovum, scans where they could not see anything, etc etc..

Metalhead · 07/11/2014 15:01

Sorry about AF trees, but better than being in limbo I guess. And yes I do use opks as well, and this cycle I got my earliest ever +ive on CD16, even though I took the soy quite late from CD4-8. If nothing else I'd be happy to just have a steady cycle like that every month, so will definitely take it again.

hazle sending you a big hug. I know if I ever manage to get pregnant again I will be going out of my mind with worry. I wish I could say something to make you feel better but I can't think of anything that you won't already know (like its normal not to have symptoms this early, the odds are in your favour etc.).

lovemyboy247 · 08/11/2014 21:59

Hi can i join the feed. Im 33 have a 1 year old already and ttc number 2. Have been trying for only five months although took nine months to concrive first time. OH not very interested in DTD which normally wouldnt bother me but we have both agreed we want baby no 2. Getting on my nerves now. Congrats to you ladies on feed who have got pregnant recently. I was reading about some of you have taken soy tablets. Can someone explain to me what they are and where you get them from.

GingerbreadHead · 09/11/2014 21:24

Hi everyone, had a nice weekend celebrating DDs birthday. Been getting AF cramps all weekend though so that did but a dampner on things. Still no sign of her, although I'm not due til tuesday or wednesday. I did POAS this morning, and managed to imagine a line on the stark white background. It was definately negative, but if I looked hard enough a line did magically appear! Might POAS again in the morning but I know the witch is on her way....
Hi and welcome lovemyboy, soy are supposedly natures alternative to clomid, they are meant to improve egg quality and production, depending on which day you take them, and can bring ovulation forward. They aren't really meant to be taken if you have regular cycles and know you ov on your own, but some of us, myself included, have thought sod it let's give it a go! If you check out the Soya Isoflavones thread on here there is some really useful info. You can buy them from tesco, or online. Do you have regular cycles and regular ov?
Thanks loves I hope I get something positive out of the appt too that I can move forward with. A belated very Happy Birthday to you! You nearly share a birthday with my daughter, so please have some of her birthday cake Cake Grin Good effort on the SMEP, it is intense! Hows the monitor going?
Metal how are you feeling? You must be 7dpo today? Have you thought about when you might cave and do a test?
Trees sorry she got you in the end, how cruel of her. Good luck with the soy this cycle!!
Hazle and Mister hope you are both feeling ok and have stopped POASing!!!

Hope everyone else is ok and had a nice weekend x

BobsyBoo · 09/11/2014 22:18

Welcome lovemyboy I'm in a similar situation me & OH agreed we want baby #2 but he's not very interested in DTD so makes it quite stressful & I'm now on cycle 22 of trying! This second cycle of taking Soy like Ginger says it would be worth having a look at the Soya Isoflavones thread.

Hi Ginger glad you had a nice time for DD's birthday. Sorry about the BFN but it is early days isn't it. Good luck with POAS tomorrow.

Well I'm just waiting to ov, soy is definitely bringing my cycles forward I started with EWCM on cd12 which is early for me. I decided that me & OH should DTD every other night till +OPK so we did Fri & need to tonight as well if he doesn't fall asleep on the sofa! Negative OPK toda though. My thermometer doesn't seem to be working properly either I'm getting days of being at the same temperature. I've ordered another so hoping it arrives before I ov.

Hope everyone else is well and had nice weekends. X

lovesmycake · 10/11/2014 07:30

Sorry about AF trees it's hard when it's late :( you doing days 3-7 with the soy? That's what I did this month here's hoping it does the trick :)

Hazle I'm gonna join metal and give you a big hug too, stop reading things on the internet!!

Glad you had a good weekend ginger and thanks for the cake!

HazleNutt · 10/11/2014 09:01

Welcome lovemyboy. Yes, soy is supposed to be nature's clomid. I have no idea if it was just a coincidence, but I actually got pregnant in the first month I used it. I had regular cycles as well, but soy did bring ov forward a couple of days, so it certainly did something.

Happy birthday little Ginger! Did you POAS? I got my imaginary lines this time as well - difference was that if I looked at the test against light, the lines were definitely there, and definitely pink, not grey evap lines.

I did restrain myself until yesterday morning, when I used one of my remaining CB digitals, and got a 2-3 weeks Smile. I know they are not so accurate and if it didn't go up, it would not necessarily mean anything bad, but it was still a relief. When I had a chemical pregnancy, the weeks never went up from 1-2. I'll do another one in a week, and if it's up at 3+, will book my scan.

Metalhead · 10/11/2014 09:55

That's a good sign hazle, hopefully you can relax a little more now.

Glad your DD had a nice birthday ginger and you managed to enjoy it. Did you poas again today? Any more lines, imaginary or otherwise? Wink

I don't think I'll bother poas this month, I've no reason to believe I'm pregnant so I'll probably just wait for AF. Had a dream last night that I went to see the consultant and he confirmed my fears and told me to book in for surgery...

bobsy if you're getting exactly the same temp every day then it does sound like your thermometer is broken, hope your new one arrives soon. My temps have been up and down like a yoyo this month since I ov'd, must be the soy.

GingerbreadHead · 10/11/2014 09:55

Ladies, please talk me down to earth here. 11dpo here, and did this test this morning, is it a line or not??? I can't tell if I'm just imagining it out of nowhere again! I checked the test a few times and it was just white, checked again after about 10 minutes and it looked like this, do you think it's just an evap?
