Hello,

Was just wondering whether anybody has had a similar experience?

When trying for first child got pregnant the first month, however that ended in MC. Luckily I got pregnant again with DD after first month of trying again.

DD is now three, we would have started TTC sooner but I went back I Uni and I'm due to finish in November.

We have been trying for 5 months and no luck, worried that I've left it too late as I'm now 37.

Sad

Ooh exciting I have my fingers crossed for you all :) I got another BFN last night but I was expecting it, still no AF but I think the symptoms of AF sore boobs etc I really just want it show up now so I can move on!!

This morning I was thinking maybe my body is doing a hard reset you know like you do with a computer when it's really f**cked. It's helping me to think these crazy cycles are for a reason !!

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 28/10/2014 07:35

Faint line on internet cheapie this morning at 10 dpo Shock thought I saw one yesterday but today I'm sure! No symptoms except bigger boobs (less sore than usual though) and v v faint line so trying to stay calm until I can do a digi at the weekend!

LittlePoot · 28/10/2014 07:40

No way mister -that's brilliant! Are they reliable? I always use superdrug ones as they're as early as first response but a quarter of the price. Fingers definitely crossed for you that it's a real one!

LittlePoot · 28/10/2014 08:03

Grrr ... just caved and am now being mocked by a super white panel where that bloomin line should be! Idiot.

Treesandbees · 28/10/2014 08:14

Mister!!! Whoop. Go get a FRER...might be more of a convincing line! Little...it's too early!! You might still be the running. Loves...doh to another bfn. Like you say may be a hard reset. Are trying maca? Meant to help with regulating so maybe try it when AF shows. Period pain has now started my end. Think that means I'm out but now have an agonising few days till the spotting begins Hmm.

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 28/10/2014 08:22

Oh no, sorry little. still early to test though so fingers crossed for the next few days! I order them from amazon, prob not the most reliable but they gave me an early BFP for DS too so they seem to work well enough! I think they can detect super early and cost about 2.50 for 20.

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 28/10/2014 08:25

Thanks trees Grin I already have a CBD on standby for Saturday (have had it about a year I think, sitting in it's box waiting for it's big moment!) but might have a FRER somewhere too. Now to attempt to focus on work for the day obsessively google due dates

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 28/10/2014 08:36

Just saw your earlier post little, sorry for breaking your resolve about testing this morning Confused your symptoms do sound a lot like mine at the moment, not having sore boobs is the most noticeable difference though with DS at this stage they were so sore so obv it can be different for every pregnancy. It's v early days, I'm pretty sure implantation happened at 6dpo for me as I had cramping and that's why I got an early result, but you wouldn't expect a result today if it happened any later.
Sorry about the cramps trees, though that can be either so still hopeful for you!
Ugh yes DS was up for a couple of hours last night too, if he comes in with us he just chats non stop and then jumps on my head!

HazleNutt · 28/10/2014 08:39

congratulations Mister! False positives almost never happen. I'd definitely do a FREF too though.

I have 30-31 day cycles, so not expecting AF before Friday the 7th of Nov. Plenty of time to symptom spot. Have not felt less pregnant than at the moment though. And DH of course keeps asking 'So? Anything??' every day.

Metalhead · 28/10/2014 08:42

Great news mister, a line is a line! Many congratulations! Smile

lovesmycake · 28/10/2014 10:35

Congratulations mister where you taking soy? Is this our first 'soycess' :D

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 28/10/2014 14:23

Haha, not a soycess story no, my soy arrived too late for this cycle and are sat in the cupboard unopened, although obviously have exerted some magical influence anyway!

Thanks metal and hazle! Aw, it's nice your DH is so keen (though admittedly not helpful when you're trying not to dwell on it), I don't think mine has ever asked about possible symptoms.

farfallarocks · 28/10/2014 15:01

mister congratulations, that soy is powerful stuff indeed if it works from the cupboard.
loves sorry about the BFN
little I think you are definitely too early to test so its not over yet!

hazle your DH is the opposite of mine, he has no interest and gets annoyed when I talk about TTC

Bobsy so sorry about the continued stress with DH and BFN. DTD once or twice during the fertile time should be enough though so try not to worry about doing it more than that!

Little far turned 2 yesterday and we had a lovely day. Only slight tinge of sadness at her birthday party when I realised she was the only child of 12 who did not have a little sibling or a pregnant mum! Lots of bumps including an announcement from a friend who is not even 12 weeks yet which made me wince a bit.

We might be starting IVF in 2 weeks time however, very exciting!

HazleNutt · 28/10/2014 15:15

oh that is exciting farfalla!

A colleague of mine just had his 4th kid, DC3 is barely 2. Greedy!

Metalhead · 28/10/2014 21:15

ginger I think I just came across that DM article your mum read about how it helps to conceive if you lose a stone - the difference was basically two weeks, and women who lost the weight conceived after an average of 2.5 months instead of 3 months so hardly relevant for us lot I'd say Hmm! Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone is beating themselves up about carrying a few extra pounds.

I'm feeling pretty disheartened this month after I talked to my SIL in more detail and she agreed that my symptoms do point to the possibility of Asherman's. I kind of feel like not even trying this month and just waiting until my appointment as I think what's the point, it's not going to happen anyway. I think I might just take a step back and do it once or twice over my fertile window, but not put too much pressure on myself to do it every day.

Metalhead · 28/10/2014 21:17

Oh and also meant to say how exciting about IVF farfalla! Fx this will finally bring you your BFP.

LittlePoot · 29/10/2014 08:51

Mister-how are you doing? How many more tests have you taken?! I'm feeling thoroughly period-y today so I'm pretty sure I'm out aginSad. Any sign of AF yet Bobsy and loves?

HazleNutt · 29/10/2014 09:25

By the way, how do you all count your dpo? I mean when you read that implantation should happen x days after DPO, that someone had a BFP x days after DPO and so on. Do you take the day when the ov strips are positive as OV day? Because according to the instructions, OV should happen up to 36 hours after you get a positive result. So theoretically, if I got a positive on Wednesday, the ov could have happened only on Friday?

Or am I overthinking it?

LittlePoot · 29/10/2014 11:08

I take a punt that if ov stick is +ve then I ovulate the next day, and that makes my AF on 14 dpo generally. But it's always possible I'm a day out.

GingerbreadHead · 29/10/2014 11:39

Me too Hazle I have often wondered that myself! I just count the day after getting a +ve opk as ov day, so if I get two days in a row of +ves I will count the following day, I suppose I should keep testing until I get a negative and then count that as ov day!? Very complicated stuff! I got a smiley on a clear blue this morning, so that has put a smile on my face!
Little sorry about the bfn, and signs the witch is on her way. Have you started your soy yet or will you next cycle?
trees has AF arrived for you yet?
metal yes that is the article, I agree hardly relevant to us at all, the difference between 2.5 months and 3 months is hardly even a comparison! I am wondering though if it could just be as simple as our lifestyle that explains why it's taking this long as DH and I aren't in perfect health, we drink more coffee and wine than we should, and I am overweight......
That's pretty rubbish that your SIL agrees with your concerns over Ashermans, I think doing it once or twice over peak fertility is a good idea, don't put too much pressure on yourself. Is it easily treatable if they do diagnose it??
farfalle Happy Birthday to little far!! That tinge of sadness is just horrid isn't it, but Shock at all those mums having no.2 on the way already when their first is only just 2!! Good luck with the IVF, very exciting!!
Mister YEHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! congratulations!! So very happy for you, so would you say you did anything differently this time? Was it month 14 for you? Yey!!
loves gah how bloody annoying, it sucks when our boides to this to us, as if we don't have enough to deal with. I have everything crossed for you that it turns into a BFP for you, but maybe you are right to just ignore that last cycle and move on to the next one? Are you still DTD or using opks?
Bobsy hope you are feeling a bit brighter and more positive this week. Any progress with AF? Are you back on speaking terms with DH? I have all but given up discussing it with DH, until sometimes I will have a huge rant and it will all come spilling out about how unfair and crap it all is!
Well I'm off work today feeling a bit bleurgh with a cold, so just having a sofa day. Finally managed to get an appt with my GP for friday, so might chat to her about the best way forward to go private, but going to see if she will put me in for day3 bloods first, so as not to waste a private appt if they want to see the results from them before progressing.

HazleNutt · 29/10/2014 11:52

I'll count myself as being 7dpo then. Feeling totally non-pregnant.

GingerbreadHead · 29/10/2014 12:03

That in itself could be a pregnancy sign though Hazle! When will you cave in and POAS?

HazleNutt · 29/10/2014 12:19

I think it's quite rare to get a BFP any earlier than 10dpo, so will try to stop wasting tests not test til Sunday. AF is due on following Friday only, so that will still leave almost a full week of squinting and imagining lines. Grin

Metalhead · 29/10/2014 12:52

hazle I usually test until I get a -opk again and then count that as ov day, but that's because I've had three consecutive days of +opks in the past! Usually I'd think the day after a +ive is ov day, and the day after that is then 1dpo.

ginger I honestly don't think that unless there are underlying problems a bit too much coffee or a few pounds extra will make so much of a difference to fertility. Just think of all the people who are drug addicts or whatever and keep having kids...

Unfortunately Ashermans is quite tricky to treat, and even if you manage to get pregnant after treatment there can be lots of risks to both mum and baby. I'm just clinging to the hope at the moment that, if I do have it, it's only a mild case as this holds the best prognosis.

HazleNutt · 29/10/2014 13:06

metal with this calculation, I had a negative on Thursday, so would make me 6dpo today. I really should just wait with testing til AF is due but that's not likely to happen, as we all know
