First ever smiley! First ever smiley! This will be my one and only cycle with contraband, so let's see if it makes a difference. Added bonus, we DTD last night and when I showed DH this morning he jumped me again.

Then again, I have ovulation pain so kind of expected it. A smiley is not a BFP by any stretch. Twotting is going to be interesting this month, I 'd love another May baby though.

I just read about some research in rats where they subjected them to stress during pg and the effects of this could still be seen 3 generations on. So I think any messing up of our cycles or tricksy pgs, we can all blame our great grandmothers . But also it shows that stress can have a pretty big effect on things so I think moving house is bound to mess with your mojo Tee. Mr Tee sounds lovely.

AF has finally arrived, unless it's spotting. Not sure which I'm hoping for, as I have a Gyn appointment on Tuesday. Not really sure what to expect. The doctor insisted that we get me all checked out to make sure I've never heard of this in England.

I must say you bunch are quite knowledgeable for claiming to be Just Shagging I don't even know what a luteal phase is. How do I find out how long mine is and why do I need to know? Do I need to know?

I don't know too much about it Bertie but luteal phase is time between ovulation and AF -the TWOT basically. You probably don't need to know anything about it tbh, but apparently if it is short (i think less than 12 days but might have made that up), it can affect chances of getting pregnant. Assume it's something to do with implantation but don't actually know helpful. Lil will know though!

I've been reading lots about lp but probably lil knows lots more than me. It's the bit between icing and af/bfp so twot. During lp your uterine lining is building up to allow fertilised egg to implant. Longer lp gives more chance of successful implantation.

Lp less than 10 days means it's tougher for egg to implant. It's not impossible but it's difficult. 10-12 days is on short side and it may take longer for woman to get pg when ttc. Over 12 days is good, with 15+ days ideal. Mine is 10-11 which may explain both my spotting before af and how long it's taking for me to conceive.

Taking vitamin b6 and Agnes castus can lengthen lp by a couple if says, so now I know my lp is short (thanks to cbfm telling me I was icing much later than opks were saying) I will start to take b6 50mg to bump up lp.

Research is fun!

So although not upduffed just yet I can justify my naughty contraband use as I'd have blindly gone on JSIng at the wrong time of the month and wondering why nothing was happening. Will you let me off?

I'll let you off lala - my ninja contraband was purchased post bc because i thought I wasn't icing. Actually thought I had something horrible wrong with me the first time I eventually iced, the pain was as bad as appendicitis, but the Beaming smiley face on the wee stick reassured me that it was probably my egg trying to burst through my cobwebby ovary instead.

My students have informed you well :) I would say you don't need to know it, but if you've been trying a while you may want to invest in some contraband to find out if that could be a problem. But beware, alot of GPs don't know leutal phase defect exists, or don't believe in it, so if it is an issue for you then be prepared for a battle.

When you've been ttc as long as I have you pick up a LOT of info along the way, jsing or not! although I should probably get kicked out as I never stopped temping, the control freak inside wouldn't let me!

Bertie Is your appointment to get referred? How long have you been trying? They do all sorts of tests on the woman before they consider fertility treatment. Men get away with just jizzing in a cup a couple of times!

Date night for me and DP tonight, and DD is away at the zoo with my mum, so I will be wearing my cape and disco pants tonight AND tomorrow morning actually in twot territory so it's mainly just because its a shame to waste noisy opportunity!

No sign of AF yet, but no symptoms of anything other than being so tired I can barely keep my head off the desk!

Not at all expecting a BFP this month, as it was spray tan weekend, but just hoping for a longer cycle than 26 days, which it has been for the last three cycles. Got my clear blue piss pots ready to take home to start filling and posting, and looknig forward to finding out when I do actually OV.
