The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

boozle I know what you mean, I dont want to leave anyone behind, youve all become my mn friends.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 18/07/2014 21:15

Just weird that it went from blank last night to that today but, I don't need to be told twice (and at this point neither does dh!), will pounce tonight!

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 18/07/2014 21:38

Looks like a strong +ve opk to me english Don't envy you dtd tonight though! Phew!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 18/07/2014 21:56

Im babysitting, ive got 4 children and a dog who are currently all squashed on the sofa with me because the thunder storm woke them up, im going to melt into a gooey puddle in a minute, its so hot!

Boozle80 · 18/07/2014 21:56

I had spotting Foxtrot it kept coming and going for about a fortnight. Real pain in the arse, my AF appeared maybe 2 weeks after the spotting started.

broodylicious · 18/07/2014 23:49

One good thing about not being seven months pregnant as I should be right now..... Being seven months pregnant in this effing insufferable heat! 29 degrees in dd's room tonight Shock

Treaclepie19 · 19/07/2014 00:02

Hi ladies, i shall read back in a min. Hope all ok.
Last day at school today. I am slightly tipsy...

:)

Tranquilitybaby · 19/07/2014 07:01

Hello all, finally feeling in the right frame of mind to come back and start posting again. Wow three (hopefully one day BFPs in a week, that's brilliant.

Had my ectopic pregnancy in April and removal of my left tube. Been all over the place mentally but third cycle AF is due next week and after that we can start TTC again. Exciting and shit scared all in one to be honest.

We go away to Florida next week, so hopefully the relaxation will help a lot. I may even tempt date and buy a little baby item (outfit etc) just to give me a bit of hope for the future. Silly I know but that's what I want to do. I would've been 18 weeks today and my god would the cc have taken a battering out there on baby things if I was. Not to be though :(

Onwards and upwards

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 19/07/2014 07:08

tranquillity im so sorry Sad

I dont think its silly to buy a baby outfit, ive learnt that to get through this horrible journey we have to do whatever gives us hope.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 19/07/2014 07:44

Hi tranquility. I think I was just departing this thread when you first hopped on. I'm sorry you've gone through what you have. If buying baby stuff make you happy then crack on sweetie. Wishing you all the best for the coming months, hope you get a BFP really soon Smile

Hope26 · 19/07/2014 09:01

Hi tranquility, have a super holiday. Sorry for your loss a d buy whatever you like if it helps you feel better.

Ladies I'm getting severe cramps and they actually hurt. Don't remember this happening during my first pregnancy. Browny discharge as well. Sometimes the pain is on the left side and sometimes on the right.. I'm getting paranoid now has anyone else experienced this during early pregnancy?

Marmaladecat1 · 19/07/2014 09:12

Hi hope I cramped in my pregnancy was DS. Didn't have browny discharge but did bleed a bit.
Sorry I'm not sure if that helps or not!

tranquility have a fantastic break! So sorry to hear of your loss.

Marmaladecat1 · 19/07/2014 09:14

Bfn here. Though have some obvious blue veins on boobs. That was definitely a sign for me. But who knows.
Have the D&V bug :( I assume this means I'm out for some reason.
I am most definitely in the mardy cow camp today. So grumpy stroppyness and woe is me is inclusive.

I also want a holiday :(

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 19/07/2014 09:29

BFP (although super faint) yesterday tea time and BFN this morning with FMU. I've read somewhere that if the faint Bfp's are later in the day it's likely to be left over hcg whereas FMU bfp's are more likely to be a new pregnancy. Still don't feel like first AF is approaching but I wish it bloody would so I know where I am!

marmalade sorry for your bfn. How many DPO are you/when are you expecting AF? And you poor thing with the d&v bug especially in this clammy weather. Hope you make a speedy recovery. When I had campylobacter, flat full fat coke was like nectar of the gods. Easy to stomach, sugary for energy but it also contains lots of salts to replenish those you've lost.

Grumpy camp here too today. I'm being so horrid to DH and can't shake it off. This close weather isn't helping.

Monten · 19/07/2014 10:10

Hi all - af arrived this morning. I'm alright actually, after bfn the other day I kind of knew. I may join the earlier testing club, it does make it easier if you've seen a bfn! Onwards and upwards.

tranquility hello! I'm sorry for your loss. Really glad you are feeling a bit stronger, have a lovely holiday, you really deserve it.

daisy so glad you have an appointment, I think£100 is well worth it. Good luck, I really hope it is good news. Keep us posted.

oneday I'm so sorry you're still getting confusing signals. Did you say you had a docs appointment? If it carries on they should be able to give you a blood test to know for definite.

marma sorry about your bfn. Boobs sound like a good sign tho, mine are a very unreliable indicator as I said above, they seem to go up and down like the wind! Do you have any holidays planned?

hope I had af cramping in both my pregnancies, for me it is a definite symptom and nothing to worry about. It wasn't ever more than slightly uncomfortable though. I'm sorry you are worried. How many weeks are you? Can you get a scan?

broody my first due date would have been next week. The heat would have been awful. Still I saw a woman with a huge bump the other day and I was just reeling with envy and sadness Sad.

Happy Saturday everyone. I am going to bake and garden, two things guaranteed to calm me down!

Hope26 · 19/07/2014 10:26

Sorry AF arrived Monten. Hopefully next month will be your month. It sucks but hang in there we are all here for you.

I don't even know how many weeks I am! The doctor was new and useless. How do I find out? Who do I call to find out and book a scan!?

Monten · 19/07/2014 10:37

When was your last af? I just always put it into that online nhs calculator and then that will tell you. Not completely accurate tho of course but a good indicator.

For scan - does a hospital near you have an early pregnancy unit? Some of them have walk-in self refer clinics so you don't need an appointment. Are you registered with the midwife? They will be able to advise. Or else you can pay to go to one of those private reassurance scan places. I would be cautious if you are anything less than six weeks though, as they can't see that much and reassurance scans can turn out to have the opposite effect, often when things are completely fine. Seven weeks is the earliest you would be able to reliably see a heart beat, although they can sometimes see it earlier. Fx for you.

Marmaladecat1 · 19/07/2014 10:45

Oh oneday how confusing :(
Will open the coke!
I have irregular cycles but I think I'm 10dpo but the ovia app thinks I'm about a week late!
So I am probably too early to be testing if I'm right.
Who knows!
I'm sick of squinting to see a bloody line!

On holiday soon, not far from h

Marmaladecat1 · 19/07/2014 10:45

...

Marmaladecat1 · 19/07/2014 10:46

Argh! Far from home and because I still have to cook and clean I feel it is somewhat debatable to being a holiday!
Same shit different place?
Wow I am so grumpy!

Marmaladecat1 · 19/07/2014 10:47

Sorry AF came morten :(

Hope26 · 19/07/2014 11:13

My last Af was 3rd of June.. I will check out the calculator now.

Monten your advice is always the best! You are a star. No midwife yet as I haven't received a letter from our local hospital yet. I hope the doctors surgery passed my details on to the hospital! They can be really incompetent at times. I have my follow up appointment on the 18th of Aug after mc so will ask a lot of questions then as well. I don't want to go to that follow up appointment -
Bad memories coming back but I might get some answers relating to what happened during previous pregnancy. Not sure I want to know now.. Might disturb me for his pregnancy!

Hope26 · 19/07/2014 11:16

It's saying I'm 6 weeks pregnant. Early days!! how accurate is this thing!

Monten · 19/07/2014 12:22

It's accurate if your cycle is regular and you ovulate when expected. I hope your hear from hospital soon, it will probably just be an appointment for your 12 weeks can though so if you can't wait till your mc follow up appointment then I would maybe ask your gp for a referral?

I didn't get a follow up appointment after either, is this normal? Still waiting for my karyotype results after Erpc, will be six weeks on Monday so hopefully will be soon.

marma I know what you mean! somehow I need to be somewhere new to truly consider it a hol!

broodylicious · 19/07/2014 12:25

So sorry AF arrived monten but glad you're all cool with it. Cd1 hope etc Smile

hope I think I'd go for a reassurance scan too if/when I get a bfp, even though I'd been a bit wary before. Btw, I thought of you the other day - was in the loo at ikea, boy with his mum/nanny in next cubicle. He asked her what the sign said (it was a "think of the environment and use short flush" message). She told him it was something to do with nature. To which he replied: "people always say pray for nature. I don't want to pray for ALL of nature because I don't like fish so I'm not praying for fish". How cute?! Must admit to having a little chuckle at that!
