The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

chloe, tentative congrats. That's great news.

beaky, thanks for asking and sorry I have been awol. Relationship in full implosion mode at the moment, so ttc definitely put on hold. We have a first appointment with a relationship counsellor in August. It's my fault it's come to this. DP feels unloved because he thinks all I want is a baby, not him. Am away at the moment so taking some time off thinking about it all as it is driving me crazy.

Good luck for the cluster diff in September Ladies!!

tigerdog · 13/07/2014 14:49

Enjoy the ttc break rosie. i think that the fact you've acknowledged the problem and you're seeking to repair it is a very good sign indeed as you're both being honest about how you feel. Good luck xxx

tigerdog · 13/07/2014 14:50

And don't blame yourself. This is hard and it's not your fault rosie xx

tigerdog · 13/07/2014 20:31

Me again. Hope everyone has had lovely weekends!

happy nope not booked yet. We were going to get married abroad but parental pressure from the inlaws put paid to that. Now not sure what we want to do.

I'm pooped! Such a lovely weekend though just hanging around close to home and looking after two doggies. Did lots of baking and helped out at the local food festival. Finally got to the pick your own farm and now have 2kg of strawberries and some gooseberries ready to make into jam. Simple pleasures Smile

beakybeak · 13/07/2014 20:58

Oo Tiger that sounds lovely! Send some jam my way Grin!

rosie obviously you know your relationship better than anyone else and you know what your (both of you) issues are, but, ttc is unlike anything I have experienced. It's so so difficult to not focus on it and it seems to absorb time and energy like nothing I've ever done before. We have had this month off and although it definitely has helped a little with the pressure, it is still there and the relationship pressure while we are "trying", I feel, is different to usual pressure. Our men are clearly lovely, but sometimes they don't understand what's it like for us too. It must be v.hard for him though with the swimmers issue, but you seem like a really lovely considerate person and you can only do your best. I hope your time away helps yget your head clear.

How's everyone else? Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend! I had a little family BBQ, it was nice, need to visit new baby and poorly Aunty this week so will shoehorn that in around work.

Lumen how are you doing? Did you have a nice family weekend?

Chloe everything crossed for you tomorrow!

RevoltingPeasant · 13/07/2014 22:50

Chloe will you test tomorrow? Fx!!

chloechloe · 13/07/2014 23:37

kitten Glad your appointment went well, it's goos that they're redoing the bloodwork. Hope you get some answers.

beaky Welcome back and good luck with the IUI. I always forget wha the drs tell me as well!

seren How are you getting on with the jabs?

pixie Welcome to the thread, can't recall if we've "met" already!

rosie Sorry you're going through a hard time, but TTC puts a strain on even the strongest relationships. It's good that you're able to acknowledge it and talk about it though. I really hope you can work it out.

barking Hope you're OK and that you don't need any intervention. Sounds like the RRL tea did the trick!

lumen How did your mum take the news? I hope she spoilt you rotten. I have to say I feel guilty at the moment, although I know you would not want me to. It would have been nice if we could have started and finished together. I'm crossing my fingers for a FUFC whilst you're on holiday Any decision on where you're heading yet?

Am back from the hen totally exhausted but can't sleep as it's going mental here after the world cup win. I think I managed to trick my mates with the help of B2B who I told. On Friday we stayed in and I was saved by coloured wine glasses that meant I could drink water undetected. So lucky! Had to keep running away from the cheeky butler though when he kept trying to give everyone shots. Saturday night was a bit more difficult out at dinner and I think the friend sat next to me probably figured but was too sweet to say anything. Doing a burlesque dance class beforehand was mortifying stone cold sober!

Thanks for all the nice messages and good luck wishes for tomorrow. Am praying that everything will be OK. Have tested every day since and the lines are getting darker, so hopefully that's a good sign. Am so nervous though and can't be excited yet - B2B was so much more excited than me when I told her.

lumen · 14/07/2014 09:52

Hi all, nice to see everyone somewhat cheery on here, must be the sunshine.

Had a nice weekend in Wales (despite the constant rain!). Told my mum and she had already guessed. She was very good though, didn't ask lots of questions. But she did annoy me when saying it was ok that I now have to pay for treatment because I can afford it, she seems to have forgotten how hard we have worked to save our money, and we only have it because we are not frivolous. Saying that I am very grateful that we do have savings which mean we can try twice more.

We are not fully decided on our hols yet as we need to look into what vaccinations you need for where. Jamaica (where dh wants to go) apparently requires hep a jabs, which is something you are screened for at FC so I don't want to delay our next IVF. Dh is phoning docs and FC thus week to check.

chloe please don't feel guilty about your success, it would have been fab to go through all this together but I am very happy for you. Let us know how you get on today. Fingers crossed.

Sorry for the me me me post. Hi to all berries x

FeatherFeather11 · 14/07/2014 11:47

chloe sending you strong Berrie vibes that you get good news today. Everything is crossed!

Hello everyone else! Will look through the thread when not at work and post properly!

happylass · 14/07/2014 13:57

Bump tally in work has now hit 5 Angry. This one stopped pill in February, had one AF then got diffed. Already has 2 kids and is a year older than me. Seriously taking the piss now. Babies were the only topic of conversation this lunchtime with most people bragging about how quickly they got diffed. Had to keep quiet or I would have burst in to tears Sad

lumen · 14/07/2014 14:01

Sorry to hear that happy, it seemed like every other thirty-something woman in the supermarket yesterday was pg, makes me feel so inadequate Hmm

Gillster · 14/07/2014 14:03

Smug instadiffers are the absolutely worst! Nearly the hols Happy.

happylass · 14/07/2014 14:12

Oh and then I went to look after a class and they are watching the episode of Friends with Monica's inhospitable environment. Give me a break!! 4 days and counting Gil!!

barkingtreefrog · 14/07/2014 16:25

Just had three days in the Lakes supervising kids going their gold Duke of Edinburgh. No internet and very little mobile reception.
Too knackered to catch up today and not home yet, just stopped off with family for dinner on the way home, but just wanted to say Rosie, it's not your fault, no relationship difficulties are ever the fault of one person. Sounds like you're on track to getting it sorted though, hope the counselling goes well.
Chloe any news?
Happy Grr to the bump count Angry .
Pixie sounds very positive, I remember when you found out about the sperm issue, fingers crossed this is your ticket out Smile .

Chloe....? Checking in for your news!

chloechloe · 14/07/2014 18:50

Hey ladies!

Glad you had a good albeit rainy weekend lumen That's Wales for you! Have fun planning your holiday, am sure it will be amazing wherever you go.

Boo to the bump count happy

Hey barking you're so good giving up your time to supervise the DofE. I did it when I was at school and loved it.

Wasn't in a good place today as started bleeding a tiny bit at work. Was too scared to open the results in case it's all going wrong so did it at home with DH. HCG is up to 81 from 12 so good news. Still feel quite numb and in shock at the moment. FX and one day at a time I think.

beakybeak · 14/07/2014 19:23

Jamaica sounds lovely Lumen I didn't realise you need jabs to go to the Caribbean! Glad you enjoyed your family time. I still think it's shocking that you only got one funded attempt.

Chloe great news that the numbers are increasing, fx it's just a bit of settling in bleeding and it stops ASAP. Really over the moon for you though!

Barking that sounds like a great weekend even if it sounds like v hard work! How are you doing?

Happy boo to the smuggy instadiffers. Roll on Friday for you. That episode of friends is the worst! In fact any of the baby/pregnancy ones are.

Feather how was your weekend away?

How's everyone else?

TheRainDrops · 14/07/2014 20:07

happy oh tra la fucking la, how wonderful for them. Well done you for keeping your game face on and not sticking them all in the face with your teaspoon. Smuggy smug berks.

chloe great news r.e. numbers! Try not to worry too much about the spotting - easier said than done I know but 9.9/10 it's nothing to worry about.

barking sounds like a good break away from everything, hope the relaxed feelings continue. I never got past my bronze D of E. Wish I'd stuck at it now!

lumen now you've got me worried about Mauritius! . I definitely agree that any break will be good for you. If you don't want to travel too far, Santorini is divine.

serenity stabbing going ok I hope? I am no doubt going to be a total wuss about that when it's our turn.

rosie I'm sorry you're having such a tough time at the moment, but prioritising your relationship is absolutely the right thing to do and with that kind of approach I am sure you'll be out the other side together in time. Ttc really is a special kind of relationship hardship, changes you irrevocably and it's all down to being able to adapt and deal with it together. I still struggle with that sometimes as I am a natural 'bottler'.

beaky how are you doing at the mo?

Anyone seen nolly??

Had a great weekend at the day festival and then sunning it up in the pub garden yesterday. Had a shit ton of crap to deal with at work today and I think half my team are running scared at the mo as I have been a total mega bitch all day. Oh well, I'll make it up to them with cake tomorrow! Bloody PMT.

Hi everyone I missed!

barkingtreefrog · 14/07/2014 20:43

Brilliant Chloe! My clinic told me that levels over 80 on 14dpo gave you an 80+% chance of a successful pg (mine were 62) so all good Grin . When is your scan?

beaky I'm doing ok, then suddenly not ok. More good than bad though. Still bleeding 3.5 weeks after it started so not sure whether tomorrow's blood test will be 0 or not Hmm . Still getting clotty spotting rather than just blood spotting if that makes sense. Started crying on poor DH earlier and when he asked what was wrong I just sobbed and said I didn't know! Think I'm just really tired but will have to set the alarm early tomorrow for another 7.30 queue at the clinic.....

Gillster · 14/07/2014 21:04

Congratulations Chloe, all sounds positive and is giving me hope for my FET in a few weeks time.

I didn't realise that Friends was on the curriculum now Happy Wink.

Good luck Barking for tomorrow. Hope the bleeding stops very soon and that you can move on.

Glad you've got a nice holiday to look forward to Lumen. I think you're doing really well under the circumstances.

chloechloe · 14/07/2014 21:12

Thanks for the info barking

I really really hope your levels are back to 0 tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you. Those early morning appointments are the worst. BTW when are you starting your new job?

Have to book a scan for 21 days after EC which works out next Monday.

Hope everyone else is doing OK and the quiet on the boards is a good sign!

chloechloe · 14/07/2014 21:16

Hey gillster. I've been leaving dirty handprints all over the place in the hope it might be contagious and we can all bust out together. Wink

RevoltingPeasant · 14/07/2014 21:31

Chloe congrats! Have you poas at home or is that not necessary? It sounds like you are proper pg to me Grin

RevoltingPeasant · 14/07/2014 21:32

Barking those 7.30 queues are just adding insult to injury! But you will know early doors either way, though, then?

barkingtreefrog · 14/07/2014 21:35

I'll be able to call for results after 2.
I was hoping I'd get back to an appointment letter for the RMC but nothing Sad . We go away on Saturday for 3 weeks, I'm worried the letter will come and we won't be able to ring and confirm the appointment, or it will be while we're away and we'll miss it Hmm . I'm going to ask at the clinic tomorrow if I can get the phone number of the consultant's secretary.....
