The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Thanks, everyone else. It helps so so much to be able to come on here. DH just keeps saying "I'm sure it will be fine" and "you always like to worry about stuff" Angry But he doesn't knoooooow!

I cleaned the house after DH and PIL left which has made me feel better and now cramping largely gone and discharge largely clear again. I just keep bursting into tears though stupid frickin hormones

happylass · 07/06/2014 14:40

RP only just able to read back. Hope you're ok. I'm sure it's nothing but I know that's not going to stop you worrying. We are all here to hold your hand Thanks

funkymonk · 07/06/2014 16:51

Happy wedding day Feather. The rain has stopped here and sun is shining, so hope it is where you are too!

Hang on in there RP! Enjoy the posh dining this evening and not too much knockerwatching. Are you still going to tell PIL the news?

Barking? No more spotting?

Bushy?

Happy, has Mr Happy managed to knock one out now?!

Fecking roof leaked into the house this morning after the storm so roofer just arrived to check damage. Back on line shortly to catch up with everyone else.

happylass · 07/06/2014 18:02

Funky I'd be worried if he hadn't managed it by now! I can just imagine the conversation in the staff room on Monday: "What did you do on the weekend Happy?" "Well, Saturday lunchtime I had a dildocam whilst DP knocked one out downstairs......" We've had the results of the SA already. All sperm moving freely and no sign of clumpiness but apparently when they added some kind of 'agent' to the sperm, antibodies showed up which are what should cause the clumping. Confused Apparently the guy who did the test has never seen this before. Bloody great!
Funky hope the leak hasn't caused too much damage.

beakybeak · 07/06/2014 19:10

Happy that's super fast for results! I've not really heard much of this antibodies/clumping before, did they give you any info on anything you guys can do, or is it a case of IVF/icsi would just bypass it? How are you feeling after the appointment? It's sounds really positive in terms of your next steps.

happylass · 07/06/2014 19:21

That's the beauty of going private Beaky, no waiting around! The NHS advised ICSI because of the clumping but the doc today said that if this SA doesn't show up any clumping they'll pr

happylass · 07/06/2014 19:24

probably do half IVF/half ICSI. Baffling thing is that it's the antibodies that cause the clumping so quite strange to have them without clumping. I'm guessing it's all the super strength vits IVF been shoving down his throat! Have a planning appt in early August so will know for sure what's happening then.

barkingtreefrog · 07/06/2014 19:51

Ha ha ha ha!!! I love that your phone is autocorrecting 'I've' to 'IVF' happy!
All sounds like systems go - time will fly to the wedding then you'll be all set up to start afterwards and look like an instadiffer Wink

Just running in quickly so can't catch up properly, have spent all bloody day (other than going for acupuncture and a quick dog walk) on the laptop doing lesson planning and resources for the week but I'm done now!!! Grin. just reports to write then. When DH is back from having fun out all day we're off for dinner with some mates so I need to jump in the shower quickly....

feather you'll be all married now!!!!! Grin

Morning all
Just thought I'd say hi before I went to work.
I haven't read everything but I hope everyone is well especially those with weddings and birthdays!!!

happylass · 07/06/2014 21:16

Bloody hell even my phone is obsessed with IVF! Grin

greatbigbushybeard · 07/06/2014 22:12

funky what a pain with your roof. We got our part of the storm this evening, full on rain and thunder storms. We now have a new water feature in our lawn for free, aka ruddy massive puddle!!

Good work on the planning barking. I did all mine on Friday, feel v pleased with myself. Makes the w/e so much nicer.

Is it rp with the spotting! try not to worry, you did say it was traces of brown so that's good. I've had traces too and think do you know what, might be quite normal what with mini peasant burrowing in.

greatbigbushybeard · 07/06/2014 22:14

Oh v good article that barking linked to earlier, well worth a read.

RevoltingPeasant · 07/06/2014 23:08

Thanks all! All the scary symptoms died down today and so we took PIL out to dinner and told them. They are lovely so ?ere calm but happy. We had a really nice meal and now I am feeling a bit too full but sooooo sleepy Grin

Barking enjoy your night!

Feather..... Enjoy your night

Happy it is always good to be a freak of nature medical miracle Grin

tigerdog · 08/06/2014 06:52

Temperature drop this morning so no getting pg/last minute reprieve for the laparoscopy on Monday who was I trying to kid

Off to the Christening in Wales shortly. At least the sun is shining. Wonder how many times I'll get asked if I want kids....

rp glad to hear you're feeling better

working on a Sunday?!

chloechloe · 08/06/2014 10:01

happy Glad your appointment went well and things are moving along. We did part IVF/ICSI too. How come you have to wait until August for the planning appt?

rp Sorry you've had a scare, but like the others have said it should hopefully be nothing to worry about (not that that will stop you worrying!) Sounds like you have lovely PIL!

tiger Hope the christening goes OK and you don't get interrogated too much! At Easter we had to go for lunch with all of DH's extended family; we got asked so many times that I spent the afternoon sobbing hysterically and cursing them all.

The article linked before was really interesting thanks, can't remember who posted it.

Ladies for all of you who've done IVF, what did you do for exercise when going through it? I read that you shouldn't exercise when stimming (scary stories about your swollen ovaries getting all twisted!), nor after the EC. The result is that I haven't done any proper exercise for 3 weeks and now feel like a chubster. I think I will have to whip out my Jillian Michaels DVDs every day so I can get into a bikini in 2 weeks. Hmm

happylass · 08/06/2014 10:23

Chloe we get married mid-August so we're not planning on starting treatment until we get back from honeymoon early September. We could have had the planning appt anytime but thought I'd be more likely to remember what they tell me if I have it closer to the treatment start date! Would something like swimming or a long walk be ok? Payne break yourself back in gently?

happylass · 08/06/2014 10:32

Payne?? Maybe that was meant to say!

greatbigbushybeard · 08/06/2014 14:22

chloe know what you mean re exercise!I'm too feel like a bit of a chubster. I carried on going to yoga and yogalates up until egg transfer and then after reading a few things online and on because's advice I've stayed off it, which means I haven't done any yoga for over a month Sad I was originally going to stay off it until my pg test and then that was so up in the air that I thought I would stay off it then until early scan and then that was unclear and have second scan next Thursday so could go this Tuesday but there is a course on that night that I might go to( work thing) and also thinking maybe shouldn't 'risk' anything until I've had second scan.

Tbh the nurse said it was fine to do yoga but that I should tell the teacher. I went for a swim last w/e which was lovely. My back is knackered though, needs yoga!! Someone told me Jillian michaels is a lesbian ( not that that has anything do to with anything) and apparently she eyes up the ladies in her videos! Not sure if the 30 day shred might be a bit hardcore as exercise. As happy said maybe a walk or bike ride, swim. Was told not to swim after egg transfer until test so didn't.

lumen · 08/06/2014 16:14

Is it just me or are IVF ladies told not to do all sort of things that instadiffers just carry on doing? No swimming in 2ww? Seem odd, what is it going to do, swim away rather than implant? Grin This ttc malarkey is a brain f*ck (excuse my language, but it is)

greatbigbushybeard · 08/06/2014 16:50

The swimming is to protect against risk of infection after transfer, fair enough really but know exactly what you meanlumen. Beginning to think we should relax a little more about the whole thing.

RevoltingPeasant · 08/06/2014 17:28

Eurgh had more spotting today, heavier. But no real cramping and all clear since. Confused have a GP appt on Thurs now, not that I imagine it will be a fat lot of use...

"Mmm, yes, that does happen to some women, wait and see, you can take some paracetamol if you want, too early to tell etc etc"

Which is perfectly good advice but will wind me up anyhow Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/06/2014 18:53

RP I know I sound like a broken record but it is so common to spot. You've got a lovely thick lining which your baby is burrowing into and disturbing on the way in. Makes sense that that would cause some spotting

RevoltingPeasant · 08/06/2014 19:18

Thanks Merk. It is good to keep hearing it. It is just that this is exactly how AF always starts for me, with brown spotting at intervals, mild cramps, and then full on bleed.

Sorry, I need a wang!! I'm just so conditioned to feeling this and then getting AF that it's hard not to assume that's round the bend.

greatbigbushybeard · 08/06/2014 19:25

rp I've got a little bit of brown spotting today too and bit twingey. It's almost the same sort of straining/ stretching feeling that you get when you really need a wee, does that sound familiar/ normal??

greatbigbushybeard · 08/06/2014 19:27

My nurse said I could take paracetamol too but I don't know if this sounds weird but I want to be able to feel what's going on so I know what's going on.
