Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

Babymad4num3 · 14/09/2006 12:17

Morning cycle bud's!

CD7 today, temp was down, been 36.6 for 2 days then down to 36.3 this morning. Will start checking CP/CM from today as it's the only thing I can go by. Still doing the ov-test but taking it with a pinch of salt, just keeping an eye on it just to see if there is a paten to it, also if I keep note something to show Doc's!

How are you all!

desperate2bmum · 14/09/2006 18:00

hiya all...sorry im intruding but i do like to keep an eye on you all

this is probably such a silly question...but HOW do you check you cp?!

good luck to all for this month and tonnes of babydust too xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

lovelybird · 14/09/2006 20:24

Hi,

Can I join as well? This is our 2nd month of TTC. I'm 34, and we have a 20 month old DS. My cycle has gone a bit mad, used to be 30 days regularly, but for the last few months has been 23/24 days and different.
Now I can't work out when I'm meant to be OVing, if funny again this month may go to the docs to see what they say.

Babymad4num3 · 14/09/2006 23:48

lovelybird yes you can join us!
desperate2bmum I'm alright thanks? And thanks for the babydust and how are you?

Babymad4num3 · 15/09/2006 09:38

Morning Ladies!
Started BDing yesterday CD8 and this morning lot's of CM !

How is everyone!?

Babymad4num3 · 15/09/2006 11:35

looks like I'm the only one in here!

Going to make DH a sex slave tonight C/P is high and is like lips not nose! Good sign's AS well a wet slippery CM [soz if TMI]! But I did a OV-test yesterday but it was neg, I will do another when I next go to the ladies, but I'm not going by them anymore, but still keeping a note!

Hope everyone is fine and well!

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 12:20

Hello ladies! CD7 and nothing to report (think pre-ov is just as boring as 2WW!) Was a good girl and did my BSE as my software told me, first time I have done it and was terrorfied I might find something! Anyone know how men are supposed to do TSE, Toni does not tell you how to show them!

Babymad - I'm here! Your son sounds sweet . Good luck with the BDing. We are just having fun for the sake of it at the mo, BDing in earnest will begin next Thurs I think! Looking good with the CF. Everything crossed that this is your lucky month but if you get your BFP, please let me have one too as I will really miss you on these threads!

Nuttymum- that?s the spirit! Nights of nookie all round!

Hello Lovelybird and welcome ? are you charting? You might be able to tell what the reason is if you start. Might avoid some nasty prodding by the Dr!

Desperate ? checking CP position (this is straight from the book)

  1. Begin checking your cervix once a day after AF has ended.
  2. Wash you hands with soap first.
  3. Try to check about the same time every day. Checking just after a morning or evening shower is probably most convenient (but in my opinion, not the most comfortable time to do it, I wait until around 10am when I am awake and my CF has had a chance to flow a bit ? sorry if TMI).
  4. The most effective position in which to check is squatting, since this pushes the cervix closest to the vaginal opening. However some women prefer to check whilst sitting on the toilet or putting one leg on the bathtub. The most important thing is to be consistent about the position you choose, since different positions will change the cervical height.
  5. Use your finger as a convenient gauge. Insert middle finger (nails should be trimmed) and remember the mnemonic device SHOW as you observe the following conditions of the cervix: a. Softness (firm, medium or soft) b. Height in the vagina (low, midway or high) c. Opening (closed, partly open or open) d. Wetness (nothing, sticky, creamy or eggwhite) (Technically, wetness is a quality of the CF and not the cervix, but it is included here since, when checking the cervix, you can?t help notice whatever CF there is.)
  6. Women who have vaginally delivered children will always have a slightly open cervix that feels more oval.
  7. The best time to begin observing cervical changes is when the wet quality CF starts to build up in the days before OV.
  8. Don?t be surprised if you feel nabothin cysts on the cervix. These are small firm bumps that feel like granules of sand under the skin of the cervix. They typically come and go without treatment. If you do feel one you should probably have it checked by a doctor just to rule out anything else.
  9. Do not check your cervical position if you have genital sores or an infection.?

Hope that helped!

Babymad4num3 · 15/09/2006 13:24

WOW some fab sign's. pos ov-test, high, open, soft CP and wet, and now i believe i'm getting ov-pains!!! Thats it BD tonight, in morning and tomorrow night!! heheheh! DH going to love me!

Yes MrsMcJur i will share with you we'll both get BFP!!

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 14:29

Sounding good Babymad - maybe we should change your name to Babydancingmad! What day of the month do you usually OV?

desperate2bmum · 15/09/2006 14:30

thanks mrsmcjnr i think il just have the mug of cocoa and biccies! my god that sounds sooo painful and disgusting i think il pass on that one and just carry on letting mr winky check it

babymad - hiya hun all going well on my front cd15 and bding roughly every other day. your husband sounds like he is in for a great weekend!!

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 14:37

Sorry if I put you off Desperate - it's not painful but the description was graphic (at least I spared you the pics from the Book!) Good luck with the BDing!

desperate2bmum · 15/09/2006 14:40

pictures?! maybe il try it one day when im feeling brave but i think for me its pushing it a bit too far. il stick to grapefruit ov sticks and temps..and next month am thinking of stretching to pre-seed.

lovelybird · 15/09/2006 14:51

Hello all,

Mrs McJnr - No i'm not 'charting' and am being a bit thick as I'm not really sure what you mean by that. I'm keeping a record of dates etc but not much else.

Sounds like there's going to be lots of bding this weekend from reading the posts. me included

MrsMcJnr · 15/09/2006 14:57

Hey lovelybird, no such thing as thick, my fault for no explaining properly! Some of us record our waking temps, CF and CP on a chart so that we can identify when we are going to OV, how many days post ov we are when AF arrives (boo!), when best to BD and when we could be pg (yeah!) It is a method taught by Toni Weschler in her book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility!.

nuttymum1 · 15/09/2006 16:36

afternoon all hope you are all well can someone please tell me the abrevasions on here please im confused! also do you think it is worth taking folic acid or multi vits while TTC?

desperate2bmum · 15/09/2006 17:27

hiya nuttymum nice name!

the abreviations are at the top of the page called the acronym list but heres a few pointers....

a/f - period
cd - cycle day
dpo - days past ovulation
cp - cervial positon
cm - cervical mucus

it is recommended that you take folic acid 3 months prior to getting pregnant to build up levels in your body. i take sanatogen pronatal vits that has everything in.

how long have you been ttc? where are you in your cycle?

good luck! you will get tonnes of support from here everyone is very friendly and helpful and supportive

nuttymum1 · 15/09/2006 19:10

hi desperate2bmum how are you? i stopped my pill this week and my last a/f was the 2nd of this month so i have no idea when ill be oving my ds was concieved in 4 weeks so im hopeing this one will be quick too what about you have you got any dcs? how long you been trying to get pg?

RachelRose · 15/09/2006 19:21

HI everyone - and welcome to Lovelybird and nuttymum.

Here all is well and have been noticing some change to CM . We've been BD-ing every other day-ish this week but thats been mainly for fun!!! Will try to keep it up over the weekend as well as I dont really know when I OV. Gonna start using the OV sticks from Monday. Also we are staying at my parents this weekend and it feels naughty (in a good way!)to be BD-ing there!!!

Hope everyone else has a good weekend coming up!

Natty1806 · 15/09/2006 21:15

Hi girls

Not been posting on her much as i have been busy at work and finding hard keeping up with the chat and as this is a fast moving thread decided not to post until i was free.

Anyway i did have planned this month EPO, grapefruit juice, cough med and pre seed. However the though of the juice is making me feel sick already and not too sure about the cough med.

I have been taking the EPO if i do decide to drink the juice and coup med what day should i start to get the juicys flowing ?

anyway hope everyone is well, didn;t think i would see Mrs here as her temps were looking good last month.

Have got an appointment at doc on tues to double check my rebella is uptodate and then on Fri CD 13 i have got a scan to see if i am going to ovulate (first month of clomid) and to see if i have polystic ovaries.

sorry i seem to have just talked about me, if anyone can answer the juice and cough med question though it would be appreciated.

desperate2bmum · 16/09/2006 10:02

nutty - i have been ttc since february and i had one m/c in june so this is my 3rd cycle since. i am still on the september thread so shouldnt really be here but i dont think the girlies will mind
we dont have any children as yet but desperately want one!
good luck to you for this month

Babymad4num3 · 16/09/2006 20:36

Evening ladies!

CD9 nothing to report, just lots of BDing!
Hope everuone is happy and well!

feedmenow · 17/09/2006 10:43

I don't believe it! If I've got it right from what I have been reading on here then EWCM indicates ovulation? Is that right? I've never paid it much attention before but noticed some very EWCM this morning so planned to lure dp to bed while DD away and DS at birthday party this afternoon, only to find out that dp has invited his parents over! With 2 children we rarely get much time alone, let alone during the day and for a good few hours! Was really looking forward to some "us time" as well, and the chance to bd with no threat of interruption and no worries about making it quick cos we have to get up early, etc, etc.

desperate2bmum · 17/09/2006 11:20

yeah feedmenow thats one of the signs ov is happening.
looks like i am going to be on this thread have not had any sign of ov - beginning to think i havnt ovulated at all as i have been looking for it and had no ewcm either oh well.....

have fun this avo if you manage to squeeze any bding in!

Babymad4num3 · 17/09/2006 12:39

Hi cycle bud's!
Hope you all are well!
