Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

just glad to be of help

rubles · 11/09/2006 08:31

Good morning everyone, it seems like AF has arrived for a few people now. My computer is not working at home, so I am limited to work time MN.

Rachelrose - the cough medecine is meant to thin all the mucous in your body, so it will make the CM easier to swim through.

Babymad - I hope it's not PCOS for you.

MrsMcJnr · 11/09/2006 09:37

Good Morning ladies, can I join you? AF arrived on Sat, a day early with no symptoms at all until that morning when I felt horrific. I really thought we had done it this month but it was not to be. Here's to a lucky October for one and all! This is our 4th month trying now so hopefully my body will have sorted itself out in time for OV this month. CD3 today and should ovulate sometime between 24th & 26th (when I am away on a hen weekend ]

Babymad - good luck with the test results today!

Nice to see some familiar names on here, will be good to chat to you all again . Also nice to meet all the new ladies, hello girls! Uki, I think you are my cycle buddy! when do you expect to ovulate? I seem to be a CD16 - 18 girl myself!

How are you all today?

Uki · 11/09/2006 10:24

Hi all
Hi Mrsmc, i think i am a 14-16 kinda girl. i haven't my diary to check. I've never had cycle buddy before

Tomorrow i have an appointment with a specialist about my m/c's, he is a professor -i hope he is not intimidating!!!! i have to admit I am sexist and normally prefer female drs.

hope you all have a good day

MrsMcJnr · 11/09/2006 11:03

Good luck with the appointment Uki, don't feel intimidated and make sure you come away feeling in control . Funny, I am the opposite re doctors, the kindest doctors I have ever known have been men and my experience of females has been the total opposite! Sorry to hear about the miscarriages, horrible and sad for you I hope you get lucky soon. I have been posting on MN since the end of June and I don't think we've met before tell me your story!

JennT · 11/09/2006 11:15

Morning ladies

Had a bit of a blood flecked discharge yesterday but not af. Do you think it's possible I'm ovulating? Bf quite a lot, so that might suppress the bleed but not ovulation??? [hopeful]

Babymad4num3 · 11/09/2006 12:22

Morning ladies

CD4 today had an okay AF this cycle almost stopped, just come off the phone with doctor:

Blood test 1: CD21 blood test yes I'm OVing, yippppppeeeeeee!!
Blood test 2: Blood test for PCOS, nothing to suggests I have it but most of the time you need to have a scan to rule it out completely he said !

Now: Going for:
Scan and/pr x-ray to check tubes are clear or not!
Scan and/or x-ray to check for PCOS!
DH sperm test !

All moving forward which I'm really pleased about. Told DH to go for his sperm test other wise there no point to all this so he's making an appointment and I've told the woman he works with in his office to make sure he dose make the appointment LOL!

Mad4girls How are you today? Started BDing yet? Are you keeping up with the temp!?

MrsMcJnr My September cycle buddy how are you doing? So sorry about your AF I kept everything crossed for you but this month will be our month you'll see, nice to have someone to talk to, CD3 are you, I'm CD4 so we could still be cycle buddy if you like? What is your plan of action this month!?

My plan of action this month is:
BDing every other day as from CD7 see if that works, never try it before so something new to try !
Still going to use the "pre seed"!
Going to start ov-testing tomorrow CD5, as I got a pos-ov-test last cycle on CD7! But I'm going to try a different time of the day to take them ,you never know it mite of been taking them at the strongest time of the day! ( I tuck them late morning/early afternoon time, now I'm going to take them late afternoon about 4/5 o'clock just before DH gets home .)
I'm still doing dig-temp, working well had to change the time! (my DS#1 started back at school yr2, DS#2 start's school on Monday I just know I'm going to cry!!)
Still on that DQ stuff it horrid to take it repeats on you but I think it's working, will see!
Going to get some cough stuff, (mad4girls could you pick me some up chick and I'll get some ov-test's?? iyswim)
And I'm going to CHILL out!!

Yippppppppppeee I'm OV-ing

How is everyone today!?

MrsMcJnr · 11/09/2006 13:22

Hi Babymad, delighted that you have had good news from the Dr . Hope the scans/xrays and the sperm test go as well.

I am ok, a bit sad and disappointed but one thing I am trying to learn from MN is to have patience. I know this is only my 4th cycle of trying but it does make you worry when it doesn't happen doesn't it? You look back and think if only we'd BD on that day or that we'd used the pre-seed or that we'd lost more weight or drank less - I can see how worry and stress can become a real obstacle to TTC if you let it. DH is disappointed to and has agreed that if I make advances, he won't turn them down but he does not want to know any of the science! Thanks for your kind hopes for me Babymad - maybe this month hey! for us both that is and as you say, we are still cycle buddies really!

Plan of action this cycle is:

  • reduce alcohol intake for both DH and me
  • eat healthier food and do more exercise for both DH and me
  • chill more and do less socialising
  • chart all 3 fertility signs
  • take grapefruit juice, epo, guifissin, green tea until ov to help with EWCM
  • take vit B6 and to try to extend LP (does anyone know if you take B6 for the whole cycle?)
  • test for OV from CD13 - CD20
  • BD everyday from CD13 to CD20 & use pre-seed

and I have promised myself that if it does not happen this month, I will make an appointment with the GP to test my thyroid as I am a bit concerned with how low my temps are. Might also buy some fertility tests for us both at that stage or see if GP will help but it might be too early to do so in their eyes.

Babymad4num3 · 11/09/2006 13:35

Yay cycle bud's again!

MrsMcJnr · 11/09/2006 14:36

Thanks Babymad - if we get pregnant this month our babies will be due in the middle of June, now isn't that a nice month to have a baby! My Mum's 60th is 14/6/07 so that would be a great birthday present for her! Getting carried away again, oh dear!!

Babymad4num3 · 11/09/2006 14:43

Yippppppeeeeee, DH got anpointment today at 3:50, about bloody time too!!, DS#2 was bron 02/06/02, and my dad died 12/06/05!! so hoping if i fall PG i will be in the later end of june!

MrsMcJnr · 11/09/2006 14:45

Here's hoping for you then. 02/06/07 is my first wedding anniversary but DH will be away on a stag

Babymad4num3 · 11/09/2006 14:56

Two DC bron on the same date dont think i would manage!! LOL!

RachelRose · 11/09/2006 21:01

Hi Ladies, CD4 for me and not much going on except I'm all clued up on CM monitoring now!! I never knew my body was so clever until I started looking at MN .

I bought my ovu tests today so am gonna start them on about CD10-ish. Does that sound about right?

MrsMcJ - Just wondering if you are based in Scotland by any chance, or is the name mi-leading!!

Babymad4num3 · 12/09/2006 08:31

Good morning ladies!

CD5 today nothing much to report, this cycle's AF was the lightest to date so not complaining! Going to start OV-testing today due to the fact I ad a pos OV-test last cycle at CD7 and I still cant pin point when I OVed last cycle, so doing a test later this afternoon!

How is everyone today?

I think I have a few cycle bud's same CD or slimier!

Off to Asda with DS, see ya later!!

rubles · 12/09/2006 09:05

I am the same CD as you babymad, but I luckily I had my shower this morning so I am no longer feeling so slimey

MrsMcJnr · 12/09/2006 10:38

Morning ladies, CD4 not much to report other than massive row with DH this morning because he nearly made me miss my train, still now speaking so glad there is no need to BD right now sorry that sounded really childish, I just hate being made cross first thing in the morning .

RachelRose - hello! yes I am in Scotland! are you too? CD10 sounds like a good place to start with the ov tests (I know I don't ovulate until CD16 - 18 so that's why I'm waiting until CD13).

PMSL Rubles . Morning Babymad - no dry day rules for you then my ole friend?

mummymelling · 12/09/2006 10:42

feedmenow · 12/09/2006 13:16

Am I really stupied? Only just started TTC having had coil removed but am obviously getting carried away as part of me is expecting it to happen straight away and have already worked out what the due date would be! The other part of me knows that this could take a while (especially since joining mn and hearing what a lot of you have been/are going through!. If I'm already thinking about it every day and having those little personal arguements (one voice saying to be positive and that of course it will happen straight away and another voice telling me not to get too carried away cos I'll only end up disappointed, etc)then what will I be like over the coming weeks/months? Did anyone else feel like this at the beginning? Do you manage to carry on your daily lives without it interferring in your thoughts all the time.....?

Babymad4num3 · 12/09/2006 13:36

Feedmenow no your not stupid I felt the same since our 2 DS were happy accidents I thought 3/5 months top's which was just in time for when DS#2 to go to full time school, DS#2 starts school next week still no baby and to top it off , no PG neither! It's just going to take time, but I wish I would of known half the things I know now 15 months ago. DS#2 was one day when we didn't use contraception, ONE day that cycle and here he is!

MrsMcJnr how are you today cycle buddy!?

Mad4girls where are you? how are you!?

MrsMcJnr · 12/09/2006 15:14

Feedmenow, you feel exactly the same as I do and I imagine that most of us feel like this when we are first TTC, full of hope and positive thoughts and we must try and keep that up and not let the wait wear us down . In my opinion, it is perfectly natural to think about all the things you are, besides, it is a big thing that we want to happen and we have to let our brains and bodies get used to the idea! As for it taking over your life - well here I am in the middle of the working day - proof in itself!

Hey Babymad - I'm fine, just had lovely relaxing decleor body massage in John Lewis (well, in a treatment room, not on the shop floor ) feeling a bit light headed and sleepy now, excellent for an afternoon of work and a long meeting after work!

Hello MummyMelling, have you started knitting booties yet? how are you feeling?

nuttymum1 · 12/09/2006 19:04

hi all in ttc stopped my pill this week my ds is 17 mo and he only took 4 weeks to concieve so heres hopeing !!

RachelRose · 12/09/2006 20:06

Hi Feedmenow, I could have written your post myself! Thats exactly how I feel. My previous pregnancies all happened so quickly (one when I wasn't even trying), but now I'm actually planning it, I think about it every day. Like you, last month I worked out what the due date would have been, and it would have been the 19th May - DS1's birthday - So I thought it was a lucky omen - anyway needless to say I was disappointed.

What you are feeling is only natural but I'm sure it'll get easier, or at least we'll get better at distracting ourselves!!

Hi MrsMcJnr, Yes I'm up in Scotland too - Edinburgh. We moved here about 2 years ago from London.

Babymad4num3 · 12/09/2006 21:41

Evening all +OPK at CD5 dont know whats going on, i will do another tomorrow, hope you all are fine and well!

MrsMcJnr that sounds lovely you lucky thing, if you dont mind me asking how much dose it cost never done any thing like that in my life!
