Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

divamummy · 08/10/2006 16:45

congratulations fleakyfloss,
did u check on your af due date? im due on tuesday, already tested couple times. very impatient i just cant wait to find out.

Natty1806 · 08/10/2006 19:03

Rachel Rose - how are you managing not to test? Are you normally regular?

I am fine, has a bit of spotting this morning but nothing since, temps are dropping but AF has not arrived yet and it doesn't feel like she will arrive today maybe the cramps will kick in tomorrow.

Congrats to all that have BFP's.

desperate2bmum · 08/10/2006 21:30

birthnight tonight on channel 5..started at 8pm ive already been in tears..they are hoping to screen a live birth

cityangel · 09/10/2006 00:55

Hey Desperate2b cycle buddy big hug. Don't let things get to you. We'll make it xxx I think today... Monday is CD14 which is around the time my OV used to be but last month OV was CD 18. I don't mind erratic, but the longer the cycles (if they are cycles) the more messing around waiting Really I am struggling to work out whether OV happened after 13 years of the pill.

Warm Sunday hug to Rachelrose. Its hard when the cycles are longer as its easy to get your hopes up. Fingers and toes really crossed. I agree its worth waiting a couple of days to test however hard so you don't get your hopes up. I took a BFN at CD30 days last month.. 20 minutes later I was in the same toilet for AF... expensive business testing early financially and emotionally.

Hey Mrs MC the park together is a good plan although bloody cold right now
The insensitive bunnies get me the most. Why does everyone have to ask such obvious questions... so you just got married when will you have kids then?...... so....... none of your business!

Hey nattythomas sorry you fell hope things are still ok. What's new with you xxx

Congratulations freakyfloss and babymonster very exciting! Babymonster you are lucky with the ky as that's meant to slow the sperm swimming at all!

Hello to lots of new people. I am newish too and if I had my time again I would join as grapefruitjuicesucks :0)

Hey Rubles am 2/3 weeks behind in the cycle for testing, but fingers crossed for you I agree with your thoughts on putting your life on hold. I have so far held off on buying the expensive interview suit. Which is silly really as I am relatively new to trying. Need a job and like shopping.

FreakyFloss · 09/10/2006 08:10

Hi RR, sorry i think i have confused you - i am flossam - this is just my halloween name!!! so no - af isn't here and i hope won't be for a good nine months! I really hope your af stays away and you get a BFP.

Thank you for all the congratulations and i hope to see you all on the ante natal threads very soon.

sideways · 09/10/2006 09:22

Congratulations FreakyFloss, fantastic news

RachelRose · 09/10/2006 09:38

Oh dear Freakfloss - I am very easily confused - I can't even blame pregnancy hormones .

Natty1806 - Well, since I came off the pill in June, my cycles have been 28 days, but before that, whenever off the pill AF was very erratic. So, even though I'm now 3 days late (no AF yet) I'm 100% sure I'm not pg. In my 3 pregnancies I've always known at this point. Having said that I was pretty sure I had all the right symptoms last month so maybe my insticts are out of sync! Perhaps I should test today

Hi Cityangel - Any news on that interview you had? Are you using any methods to see if you are OV'ing?

FreakyFloss · 09/10/2006 09:47

RR - do a test. i was equally sure i wasn't pregnant. every little thing i had that was 'different' i put down to the fact that i was looking for things, iyswim. i really didn't beleive i was, although i hoped. test at least so you have an answer for today - i have a few tests you can have if you need some.

MrsMcJnr · 09/10/2006 09:49

Congratulations FreakyFloss!! You've got to tell us how you did it now?!

FreakyFloss · 09/10/2006 10:11

Nothing special at all i'm afraid. I wasn't ov testing, temp taking, i am aware of cm changes though. just bd every other day from day 7-14. All being well i have just been lucky, had pelvic inflammatory disease several times in my teens so always thought concieving would be hard for me. Just hoping pregnancy progresses ok as its still so early. good luck to you!

desperate2bmum · 09/10/2006 10:15

good morning all

big hello to my cycle buddy ((((((((hugs)))))))))

well its cd14 today and yesterday i got a very very faint positive opk and today i got an even darker line just a tad lighter than the line to say its worked.....I AM SOO HAPPY!! this means should be ovulating today or tomorrow which is such a relief as last month i didnt ov at all!! so i dont care about a bfp this month i just care that my body seems to be running as it should especially if i have another 26 day cycle!

have a good day all xx

feedmenow · 09/10/2006 10:57

Hi everybody.

Good to see that everyone seems quite happy and/or positive today.

I am CD10 and have not been at all active this month so far. I am having my eyes lasered tomorrow which they won't do if you are pg. Luckily I think I have booked it for the right time in my cycle cos I know I can't be pg but I should still be OK to start a lot of bd ing straight after. Just hope I'm not in toomuch discomfort. The other thing is, no "vigorous activities" allowed for a month after op so I will have to avoid swinging from the lightshade and just stick with the gentle stuff!

RachelRose · 09/10/2006 13:16

pmsl feedmenow at your swinging from the lampshade!!

Well, I tested ladies and its a BFN - I just knew it was going to be negative, but I still got that twinge of disappointment. I least I now know that its just AF being LATE!!! Keep thinking "what if I go into another 14-month AF draught"! At least I'd do something about it earlier than last time.

RachelRose · 09/10/2006 13:19

BTW, think i'm going to buy a thermometer today and start charting so I can understand whats going on a bit more. Even though I'm still waiting for AF, would it be ok to start tomorrow?

rubles · 09/10/2006 13:31

RachelRose, starting tomorrow will help you get into the swing of it and will help you have a comparison for next month if you aren't pregnant. Other than that, it won't give any clear indication of what is going on at the moment in your body, because you don't know what your coverline is & you may be a naturally hot or cold person which you won't know until you have charted for a month.

Babymad4num3 · 09/10/2006 16:23

Hi horrid weekend made worse today! I've got this lump on the side of my chin, ended up feeling off eating and drinking due to it over the weekend, and to the good fortune of my DH even talking, last night it got worse sending shooting pain up one side of my face and a horrid tingling feeling, went to the doctors this morning and he said it was a bad infection and given me some BIG tabs to take 4 times a day, joys, and to top it off was told not to have unprotected sex while taking to tabs I'm on CD6 and due to be off the tabs next Monday which will be CD13 and I OVed last cycle on CD12 so feeling like real crap at the moment, and might miss the boat again this cycle!
Hope all my cycle bud are fine and well.

NattyandThomasandBump · 09/10/2006 16:33

N&T&B

Babymad4num3 · 09/10/2006 16:36

NattyandThomasandBump so sorry but keep your chin up chick, babies have a habbit of keeping us on our toe's! we are all here for you!

desperate2bmum · 09/10/2006 16:37

babymad - sorry to hear off your bad weekend. why have you got to not have sex whilst on the tabs? they usually tell you to avoid unprotected sex if on antibiotics and taking thepill because the antibiotics affect other oral contraception.

natty - so sorry hunny to hear of your spotting. it is extremely common to bleed so dont take it as a bad sign just yet. my thoughts are with you and good luck for your scan. how far gone are you now?

NattyandThomasandBump · 09/10/2006 16:39

i am currently 6+3.
babymad thankyou hun, sorry to hear of you terrible weekend, thinking of you as always...

desperate2bmum · 09/10/2006 16:41

it could just be an implantation bleed. is it bad enough that you need to use protection? have you got any pains.
im sure all will be well for you.

Babymad4num3 · 09/10/2006 16:41

The Tabs I've got are strong and so bad for a developing baby so my doctor said!

desperate2bmum · 09/10/2006 16:43

aww well you might just make it if you bd the day you finish tabs...its worth a go

Babymad4num3 · 09/10/2006 16:48

I'll give it a go but we'll see! Let's hope i dont Ov till CD13-CD14+
